I see a massive lack of cooling fins. Also I said I did not mean a microchip.

Look at THIS picture, not whatever you were looking at, and see the boxes on the corner, plugs on side and numerous cylendars.

The IC in Lair's post uses cooling fins as part of a heat sink (which is what's visible, IC's generally have fans mounted over cooling fins to make heat sinks). Regardless, that's not what Lair was trying to address.

What do you mean you don't think this works? It absolutely does, but you need to use the "create landslide" debug key in order to do it. Keep your cursor over a drillable wall and start pressing A quickly. Eventually, crystals or ore may come out. I find it to be effective if there are two walls next to each other so you can quickly swap between them, but single walls work too.
