schep
Ok what I was really getting at with my other post... *ahem*... was I the only one disappointed in the lack of theme music in rock raiders? I mean, there are only 3 tracks really, and 6 themes all together. 3 when your playing, the intro, the title screen, and the screen when you beat the mission. Correct me if I'm wrong guys, but isn't this site really built around the concept that we can mod and virtually rebuild the game from the ground up into something completely new? Why not give it a better sound track? I can't do anything to the intro, but I wouldn't want to, I actually think the intro music is really like perfect. But just for in game play... we are already giving the game a whole new outfit, why not the music. The music was great, but there just needs to be MORE! and before I was just saying, it would be nice if I knew what program the original developers used. it doesn't really matter though, just wondering if anyone knew. Does this all make sense? I mean there is a lot of cool stuff going on here... I'm basically just starting to mess with modding... but I can still contribute via music. Anonymouse
I see now. No, I don't think any of us know what program the original devs used. One member once contacted someone who had worked on LRR (from DDI), but A: He hasn't been on in a long time and B: I'm not sure if that dev knows anything about the music. Addictgamer
1. I see, there was also 3 tracks in game if you played 2. You can edit the avi intro's music. Load it into a movie editing program. You can make your own avi intro, see my howto in documentation. 3. Adjust the cfg settings, and where it takes the music files, and it works perfect. You can set the starting track, and the number of tracks total. Can be done by simply inserting a cd into the cdrive with the unmodded version, and it'll play the first 3 tracks. 4. Ya, hard to find that program 5. Makes sense, and music is very easily addable. So, just make some music, upload, and everyone uses it in-game. schep
well, music can be like a 3rd party contractor too so I doubt this guy knows... I see the names in the credits, I suppose I could try hunting them down or something... but yeah I'm guessing even if nobody really knows or cares about the music, I'll just do it anyway, and i'm sure nobody will regret it. might be a while though.
