I agree. I understand many people have a lot of love for Lego Racers, probably their introduction into the series. For me, I have a lot of love for Lego Racers 2. If you guys ever achieved your goals with Lego Racers projects, perhaps you could consider a Lego Racers 2 remake, with online & split-screen multiplayer races.

Moving Forward

I'm in kind of the same boat. I'm working on a port of LEGO Racers to Nintendo DSi. Luckily there are some standalone decomp projects that have made a lot of headway that I've been able to reference. But there's not really a great place to *discuss* these topics. What frustrates me is as soon as I'm knowledgeable enough to actually, y'know, *contribute,* the forum is closed because one bad actor and an admin (who is no longer present, mind you) who covered for him. I'm not trying to downplay what happened, but why should we all be punished for that?

If this forum is 'archived' - preventing new threads - where are we meant to post about LEGO Media? This forum had the group of people, passionate about say Lego Racers 2. I have new questions about the game, and other LEGO forums seem to focus more on other areas, rather than old school LEGO games. I haven't found the community which has Lego Racers 2. One question for example, the console version allowed 2 player races with 2 console controllers. On the PC version, is it possible to have 2 player races with 2 console controllers?

Hi Apologies if this is in the wrong place but I have an issue with LIXS on win 11 I would like some advice on with a view on keeping the game working for preservation. Please reply if you can help thanks an advance update game now working with dgvdoo and win98 compat mode but crashes when plays movie clip at end of mini game or photo fit can use win 8 to get around this but causes a further crash when playing dialog. This problem was not present in win 10 I think it's the active movie direct show codec which is missing. I don't suppose anyone knows if the game has a no movie flag like stunt rally or another way around this? thanks

Personally, I wish there was an "archived" part of the forum for every old post. Forum replies switched off. Then, new categories and forums for modern times. That's just me though. -

Lovely put, Thomkok23! Personally, I would love this forum to 'relaunch'. Crystal clear rules & morals. Safeguarding. Whilst many AFOLs love LEGO, so do kids - who need safeguarding. Moderate moderation is needed. I dislike people not being able to post new threads or on existing threads. Stuff like that sees a forum's community die and relocate elsewhere. A - Yes, those actions are absolutely wrong. I don't understand why action wasn't taken. Defiantly an important lesson. If RRU was to 'relaunch', safeguarding from moderators should be a priority! B - I accept people have moved on. I dislike the current state. Whilst I understand currently everything is being 'preserved', a forum should allow users to create threads, post replies on threads, etc. I've enjoyed many threads and gallery photos on here. It was interesting to see a user had recreated all the vehicles from the Lego Racers 2 videogame, for instance. I've somewhat struggled to find LEGO fan sites I enjoy. I've used EuroBricks, but 'specific things' on here made it stand out for me. The 'bad past event' only came to light for me from this 'Moving Forward' thread - I had no idea about it beforehand. If safeguarding and proper moderation could be achieved, I would like to see a relaunch of RRU. A fresh start, proper moderation, proper safeguarding, proper rules. I doubt it would ever affect a fan forum, such as this, but the UK has seen it's age verification law(s) kick into affect. OneIDĀ® has been used as a digital ID and age verifier, for instance. Specific websites cannot be accessed without logging in - safeguarding children.
