Sonic, it wasn't necessary that you starting calling me(who is this 'all' you keep referring to?) 'stupid' and childish because I have a distaste for game developers that do not use their imagination and do not experiment with new things. LEGO is using TT because it's easy and because there is small development time. All TT have to do is change the textures, make a new plot and change the level designs and the game is done. I have played the new games just as you have, so my opinion of this is not inferior to yours. I never said that the graphics of these games look bad, I am only speaking of the game mechanics. If humans did not experiment, did not use their imaginations... we'd still be back in the stone age. Businesses need to move forward and try new things if they wish to survive, LEGO is no exception. The games they have had made are becoming bland and generic because they are using the same formula repeatedly. I am no longer inclined to buy new LEGO games because of this and I am certainly not the only one who feels this way. I guarantee that if they keep doing this, their profit will deteriorate (if they haven't already).
Have a look at the classic games, then have a look at the modern games. On the classic side we have games from all different genres and all different developers, next to none are licensed. Now look at the modern games, same genre, same developer... almost all licensed. Anybody can see that LEGO is changing and they have become less creative and are choosing licensed themes to gain financial stability. LEGO is supposed to inspire people to use their imagination, be creative and experiment; But TLG isn't doing this themselves. Take custom parts for example, the use of custom parts costs less because any single part can replace 5 separate pieces or more. Combine this with many custom parts and you not only save on plastic, you also save on paper because they don't have make as many instructions. Finally less plastic weight reduces shipping costs
Sonic, I do not care if you play with LEGO or not. There is no age limit to LEGO. Architectural companies use LEGO when concepting and in some cases have been used in physics experiments. The rest of your post about being banned on RRU for not liking LEGO and the Mincraft stuff isn't even worth me commenting on.
