LI2 BOD/BOB Extractor v1.0
Fifi La Fume and 2 others reacted to legomoe for a topic
I forget who it was, but someone on the forum was wishing that they had a tool that could extract all the LEGO Island 2 .bod/.bob archives at once. Well, here it is: Mediafire: http://www.mediafire.com/file/dvqsgbb9858e8ue/LI2_Extracter_v1.0.zip RRU Files Database: https://www.rockraidersunited.com/files/dl-r436/ Just extract the .exe to the '_data' folder in your LEGO Island 2 install directory. You'll need to run it from a terminal though. To extract all the .bod/.bob files, run it with the command line argument '-all'. Example: "LI2Extractor.exe -all" It can also extract individual .bod/.bob archives, just enter the .bod file as the command line argument and it will automatically open and extract the corresponding .bob file on its own. By the way, I think that when you extract a .bod/.bob archive into the game's '_data' folder, the game should read those files, instead of using the archive, otherwise this tool would e ind of pointless without something to rebuild all the archives. I might still end up releasing a tool for rebuilding all the archives, I'll just have to see If I can get around to it... Legomoe3 points -
LI2 BOD/BOB Extractor v1.0

You're right. That's very interesting. I would have thought that the game would per-cache all textures when it loads a level, but I guess not I've also figured out that the game will try and use as much content as it can from the extracted folders first, but if it can't find something, it looks in the archives. So you could conceivably just put your modified files in the folders, and leave the rest in the archives. This should make distributing mods a cinch, since a mod author would only have to distribute the files they modify, and the end user could just extract them to their game directory.2 points -

Unused Developer Dialogs
McJobless reacted to legomoe for a topic
I was fooling around with LEGO Island 2 today when I decided to open the 'LEGO Island 2.exe' with a program that I downloaded called Resource Hacker (you can use it to edit an .exe's embedded resources), and guess what I found? I don't know about you, but I think this is pretty freaking awesome! I mean, these dialogs look like they'd be the sort of things used by the developers to create and debug the game. And that's what's even more exiting! Even though these dialogs don't do anything when you view them in Resource Hacker, what if there's some way to enable them in-game? What if, like LEGO Island 1, LEGO Island 2 has a hidden debug mode that can be enabled somehow? Anyway, I thought I would share these with you all. Maybe you guys will have some insight about finding the debug mode, if it exists. Galidor
coolrosetyler reacted to Cirevam for a topic
They're compatible with normal Lego, especially the click-ball-joints used in Exo-Force sets. Other sets use those same joints. Plus you can put the male ends of Galidor joints into the holes in Technic pieces. I know this because I have a few Galidor sets. :01 point -

Galidor
STUDZ reacted to coolrosetyler for a topic
I didn't diss lego in anyway I was just saying I could do the Galidor figures a little better like for example the main character Nicholas Bluetooth only came with one glinch which I thought was pretty dull and should of came with about 2 or more glinches. if lego or anyone redid the galidor line I would like them to do a revamp or redesign of the figures and add more glinches with every character they make. Lego was good with every other line that they have done just the Galidor line was pretty poorly done1 point -

After you've scrubbed all the floors in RRU, then we can talk about mercy! Take him away! Also, a great Finn moment. Create a black hole, tell everyone that we were created solely to die, then laugh maniacally.1 point -

Sometimes God takes mommies and puppies members and topics away. And sometimes, just sometimes, I do. To all the whiners in here, take your whining elsewhere. You're not contributing to this topic. To Pascal, you're pretty much trolling and you admitted that you made this topic just to make people mad, so cut it out. This is your verbal warning.1 point -

What fresh hell is this? The bronies came in and said, pretty much, "THIS THREAD IS UNECESSARY WE SHOULD BE THE ONLY ONES WITH A SHOW THREAD BECAUSE WE'RE PART OF A COUNTERCULTURE AND WE'RE 20% COOLER WAT NAO?" I say, "Let them post Adventure Time". The Bronies have their thread, it's been supernaturally successful, and I don't know how. But that's not the point. Bronies, if this is a problem, go talk to a moderator. Get them to change the thread name to "~The Official Adventure Time Thread~" or something. I understand that putting the word "Herd" in the title was a way to poke fun at you, but get over it. Haters Gonna Hate. You don't have to sink down to lower levels and plague this thread with posts saying the obvious. This is an Adventure Time thread, NOT a Brony thread. This thread is for discussion of the show Adventure Time. Talking about the thread name does not count. So let's keep it that way. I haven't seen the show personally (though I'd like to), so I won't be posting in this thread. All others should do the same. This thread has just as much right to be here as the Brony Herd. Don't rail on it. If this happens any more, I'm making a Doctor Who thread. We all know this site needs it more than the TV threads we already have.1 point -

Everyone, just shut it! This isn't an argument thread. If you aren't here to talk about Adventure Time, just be quiet. @Title complainers, Who freaking cares if the title says herd. Let him be unoriginal and imitate other topic titles if he so pleases, it doesn't matter, it doesn't affect you in the slightest.1 point -
