PAC Extractor 2.0 (now with -all option)
Jimbob and one other reacted to legomoe for a topic
I recently found a couple of bugs in my old PAC Tools, so I've gone and re-written a new version of my PAC Extractor program. You may ask why I haven't re-written the PAC builder program. Well, the answer is that I have discovered that Alpha Team will read files directly from the program's folder (all files must be in the same folder as the .exe). This is great for modding possibilities, since if a modified version of a file exists in the 'LEGO Alpha Team' folder, the game will read it INSTEAD of the one in the .pac archives. It also means that to mod the game, no .pac builder is required (I also can't figure out how to properly rebuild a .pac file, so that's your real reason ) Anyway, here's a link to the file: https://www.rockraidersunited.com/files/dl-r207/ It can also extract ALL of the games .pac files at once. Just extract 'PACExtracter2.exe' to your 'LEGO Alpha Team' folder and run it with '-all'. Example: "PACExtracter2.exe -all" (without the quotes) NOTE: When using '-all', It will extract each pack file into a folder of the same name. If you modify any of these files, you'll need to move them into the same folder as the 'LEGOATeam.exe' file to make the game load them. EDIT: As requested by le717, here is a utility for rebuilding .pac archives. https://www.rockraidersunited.com/files/dl-r208/ To use it, extract the exe to your hard drive and run it from the command line. You'll have to pass it 2 parameters: the path to an existing copy of the .pac file you want to rebuild, and the path to the folder that contains all the extracted files. The program should bundle all the extracted files back into the .pac file. NOTE: If the program fails for some reason, it might corrupt the .pac file it's working with, so make sure to BACK UP your .pac files before trying to rebuild them.2 points -
Halo Universe VS Star Wars Universe

Losses are inevitable in any military conflict. Taking down a walker is quite a feat and I would sure as hell be proud of it if I did it but it hardly makes up for the tens of thousands of destroyed ships and vehicles the Alliance has accumulated over the four years of warfare. Also, it's unlikely a large portion of the ground personnel saw the walkers fall. Even if they did, the conversation would go like this: "Did you see that walk-" "Dude, all my friends are dead..." The Battle of Hoth was a decisive Imperial victory. Not much could be salvaged PR-wise for the rebellion. [And I'll lol at your last comment.] Actually didn't know that. Another reason to play Halo 3 I suppose.2 points -

Not quite. Shooters have evolved since those days. There are some shooter games where you don't have to kill a SINGLE person.2 points -

Your attempts to troll are pointless because ultimately Halo and Star Wars are two very different flavors of science fiction. I appreciate both for their individual qualities but there's no concrete argument you can provide that would change my opinion that the military technology of Star Wars vastly outperforms that of the Halo universe.2 points -

Let me explain the rules more thoroughly. 1. Make posts as a command. By this he means that YOU DO NOT GIVE THE RESPONSES. Lair is the original poster, so he posts the responses. 2. Write in full, descriptive sentences. By this he means that he wants you to not just say "that shelf over there go see whats on the shelf, take the salt off and then pour it in your eyes causing you to spaz out." He wants you to say "Go by the shelf and examine what is on the shelf. If there is salt, pour it in your eyes." 3. Replies like "do that" will be ignored. This means he does not want you to second commands. 4. Don't make posts just to reply to someone else's commands. If there is an issue I will adress it. Kind of obvious. 5. If you want to give a command that is random/funny, do so, but use good sense. You can do funny/random commands, but do not make them too stupid.1 point -

but those 2 kills lead to pictures like this and the empire's rep goes down. can't have them thinking our walkers are inferior, can we? Yes we can, we'll just blow their planet up if they do.1 point -

How can a character from a shooting game be better than a character from a movie? Most shooters are pretty much movies nowadays. @ant, I forgot what the tiers were called ok? But George came right out and stated TFU is canon. Maaaaybe not the 2nd game, but 1, for sure. I'd link to it If I wasnt on my ipod1 point -

The Empire has a giant ball with a single laser that takes about 5 seconds to destroy a planet. The Covenant had an array of 7 giant rings which destroy the entire galaxy in a few micro-seconds, according to the Halo Universe book I have. Star Wars has a kid who knows how to use a sword and throw things at people, and works cooperatively with an old dude who dies and then just makes a bunch of duologues. Halo has a soldier who knows how to use a vast array of weapons, vehicles, alien technology and works cooperatively with an AI which could theoretically take over multiple entire Covenant ships if they were linked. Star Wars has a black dude who can hit on ladies, owns a mining station and a dude with some weird head brace. Halo has a black dude who can hit on ladies, survived being attacked by flood multiple times and is PURE badass. I don't see Lando delivering a speech 10% as inspiring as Johnsons. The "first" Star Wars was about an emo dude with two red swords stuck together with glue fighting off two other dudes with swords who were trying to fix the economy of a not-very-important planet. The "first" Halo was about an alien armada glassing an entire planet, but a bunch of amazing super-soldiers returned fire and where able to evac everyone to safety before pitching their entries in the noblest death competition. Halo wins. P.S: You should turn off the "multiple choice" option in the poll. It's one or the other, not choose as many as you want.1 point -

They're completely different realities with their own very individualized aesthetic. I would never compare the two but in a military conflict the Empire easily brushes even a combined force of UNSC and Covenant away.1 point -

I'm comparing Everything about both sides, not just the game and not just the movies. Basically which side do you think is more powerful in weapons, vehicles, which enemy is better, stuff like that. Well...I don't know anything about Halo, so I can't compare.1 point -

You are right actually. It just gets harder and harder to stay calm when I have to keep asking him again and again to leave me be and expect that this time he will actually keep his word and stay away. I'm not really bothered at all anymore, I have a MC server of my own which is relatively successful which I haven't bothered to reveal in case you came begging plus it's on the new map. As well as that Phoenyx showed me the ENTIRE conversation between you and him. Are you actually trying to get me hated? Well you're not gonna go far if you are. Trying to exclude me or at least demote me if Phoenyx's server EVER came back is a bad move, yo. Good luck in trying to bring me down now, bro. But to those that want to play on my server, PM me for the IP however I can't gurantee it working as it changes everytime I turn the computer on/off. I doubt you'd be bothered or even moved by this post though as you probably won't get the message: I've accepted responsibility for all my actions and have moved on. TLDR: I've moved on to even bother a single bit about you anymore.1 point -

The room has a desk with a hatch under it. There's a large shelf with books and boxes on it, but the bottom shelf has fallen onto another desk. There's a smaller shelf with more stuff. One corner of the room has pipes sticking out of the top of the wall with a box wedged behind it. There are two doors, with stuff on the wall near one. OOC: I feel like I've gone the wrong way with this... everyone is too confused.1 point -

You have no idea how much that made me LOL. It made my day. And ToolRaider: I believe that this thread IS a troll topic, but only because you made it into one. You need to learn how to read all of a post before you go off and say anything that could lead to problems/flaming. And once you realize that you were wrong, don't try to justify it by saying this is a "troll topic". It just makes you look worse than you want to be. REMEMBER: Only YOU can prevent Forum Flaming.1 point -

Halo 4, Anyone?

OH LOOK, IT'S THIS DUDE. Halo CE was fantastic, and remains a legend of gaming. Halo 2 as well. Yes, Microsoft is milking the franchise like a diseased cow, but show me what company isn't? Bungie was the best developer ever in the FPS world, and Halo was fantastic. There was no evidence ever to say that they died out. It just states they were missing. Moreover, WRONG, WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. The Forerunners are the good guys, numbnuts, and the Sentinels kill you because they deem you a threat to the Forerunner installation. OBVIOUSLY, somebody couldn't get past the last level in Halo 3. Naww...how cute. ...what TV series? Halo is nothing like Alien. Unless you've kind of blurred your eyes and only played the flood's first level in Halo CE, you would know that Halo has no similarities to Alien at all. ...you're joking, right? When you kill Truth, that doesn't signal the end of the Covenant...that's like saying killing the President of America will signal the end of the USA. They elect a new leader and the scattered groups regroup and attack again. Learn the fiction before you talk. There are no other SPARTANs in Halo IV. The SPARTANs in Reach were A) IIIs, B) Before Master Chief and C) All killed. I give your post a 2/10. You tried, but my jimmies remain unrustled. Thanks for playing, go back to complaining about how Valve can't count to 3.1 point
