Tool decay in an RTS is rather silly unless the units know to go back to the tool store to get a replacement. But what does that accomplish? Just like the Support Station, it's another reason for units to stop what they're doing and run back to the base which wastes time. With infinite free tools from the tool store, limited-use tools are pointless because instead of managing a resource (I have three hand drills left, let's try to build more vehicles instead) it becomes a time sink (stupid drill broke, now I have to go back to get another).

We have been impressed and encouraged with the dedication of our Rock Raiders fans, and after years of requests we are looking at creating a new Rock Raiders. We are considering combining a mine craft style world, so you can build and dig in more ways, please tell us what you think?

This. You might as well not be able to even touch the rock type with the tool. And like Cirevam said. Tool decay might work in first-person games like Minecraft, but in a huge RTS game it just becomes annoying. Even if there was tool decay it would just be a matter of heading to the tool store, unless you need to build everything. But then it becomes confusing. I guess it could be an option, but still. Though, decay to buildings and vehicles would work, since those are big and expensive and can be repaired.

Hello! Welcome to RRU! Are you saying that you want the AI cars to have different voices, or you want to change the AI voice, or change the sound of the cars themselves? I'm kind of having a hard time understand your question (don't feel bad. I've had trouble getting my questions across before ), but since it relates to audio, I can help you, for the most part. Yes, the audio is located in the gamedata, namely, LEGO.JAM. You will need to extract it in order to access the audio. Pick up JrMasterModelBuilder's JAM Extractor, and extract it. Next, after you locate the audio you want to change (it will have a .pcm file extenstion), read my tutorial on how to mod the LEGO Racers audio. Be sure to take into account the fact we don't completely understand the audio format yet, so the audio you add will not sound perfect in-game. Also, the AI voices are completely broken, so you'll need to consult that topic for the files you'll need to change. Once you mod the audio, recompress your files back into a LEGO.JAM (be sure to back up the original one!), and load the game. If everything works, you have sucessfully modded the audio! Those are general steps on how to mod LR audio. Once I can completely understand your question, I will be able to give you more detailed info. Greetings from the US -le717

I was actually talking about MC, not putting it into this remake... but anywho. The energy needs of the RR's could have been improved to be much less annoying. If you think the point of Minecraft is just to mine, you are very mistaken. Minecraft is about building your imagination... and surviving in it. It's a sandbox game, you can't win by getting the best pickaxe in the game. Thats why anyone trying to race through the game will never like it. Also you can just type "/home" to go to your house . I hope you don't have an inventory or weapons to manage in Halo.... or even imagine an RPG with an inventory and... and... crafting!! that would be SHOCK! HORROR! oh wait btw: You being an FPS kiddie and all should love the bow & arrow action.... or making cannons :smug:

The people who would like to play a Lego Racers 1 1999 game with multiplayer would be this whole community at Rock Raiders United! :lol:
