After what happened the last few times? Think about it.

We have been impressed and encouraged with the dedication of our Rock Raiders fans, and after years of requests we are looking at creating a new Rock Raiders. We are considering combining a mine craft style world, so you can build and dig in more ways, please tell us what you think?

After a good chat with Phoenyx, we have decided that under certain conditions, the server will be back, however I will be running it with a few rules which I will get to but first I'll tell you how to join the server if you're interested as I will be whitelisting it due to previous events. --HOW TO JOIN-- All you need to join is ask me, Phoenyx or one of the other ops if you can join. After being reviewed we will either accept or decline you but it is most likely the former. We will be judging from previous experiences with those who have been on the other two maps. --RULES-- These rules are in place to keep the server running and not make it end abruptly like before. 1. NO arguing with the Ops or Admins. Period. 2. NO glorifying yourself and wasting building space (e.g. statues, flags, islands of your own etc) 3. If you want to establish a city of your own, consult the Ops who are available first. 4. The most obvious one, no griefing! 5. Don't boss others around! (Unless they want you to.) 6. This applies to Ops/Admins, no banning others pointlessly otherwise we will review your status and may remove your Op and ban you if it persists. 7. Respect others! Breaking any of these rules will result in a kick, then a one day ban, if it still persists a 3 day ban and finally if you're brain dead or just wanting to be banned it's a permanent one. You place a Custom Object (or whatever it's called. The little white square with a question mark) and give it the ID of whatever object you want. I think the Chrome Crusher's ID is LargeDigger. So you type in LargeDigger.

Here's a chat log with ideas some of us in Skype have thought up. It's enormous and could be hard to read, but I've snipped a few things that have nothing to do with the topic.

Tool decay in an RTS is rather silly unless the units know to go back to the tool store to get a replacement. But what does that accomplish? Just like the Support Station, it's another reason for units to stop what they're doing and run back to the base which wastes time. With infinite free tools from the tool store, limited-use tools are pointless because instead of managing a resource (I have three hand drills left, let's try to build more vehicles instead) it becomes a time sink (stupid drill broke, now I have to go back to get another).

Popcorn Arcade was a budget Wii range. This is for PC (AFAIK) and they have been motivated to do this because of the fans of LRR and the fact that they are trying to work with us to create a game we all like is quite simply the best thing I've heard a developer do. I'd also like to add that because it's their own title, they aren't being pressured by deadlines and they can decided what happens with the game instead of them.
