Lair, unless your name is something unique like Oprah or Tutankhamen then I don't think you'll have to worry about anyone Googling your name and finding out everything about you. You know how many Alans there are in the world? How many Steves, how many Jameses, how many Connors and Matthews? There's nothing to worry about, especially if you don't post any personal info on the internet in the first place. Either quit acting like your privacy will be violated if we know the name that you and thousands of other people have, or quit posting in the topic. As of now you're not acting in the spirit of first-name-basis.

Therefore, if you don't want to post your name, fine, because some people's lives have been ruined once their personal information (dox) have been made public. It's fairly easy to get such information since you can Google someone's name, find their Myspace/Facebook pages, and roll with that, or do a WHOIS lookup in some cases. You know, things like that.
