I've finally started documenting the structure that all **B files follow. My documentation is available HERE. As of 24/01/2013 it covers basic datatypes and decompression. I bring you: A New Hope. Yes, what you see is RR running at 1920x1080. I haven't done any testing on other systems yet for my new launcher, but my hack is working. BUT! I still haven't found a way to move that stupid toolbar position. So you currently have to wait until it moves out of screen, then when it comes back, the buttons will enable again. Meaning, I have to wait like 5 seconds each time I click a button on it . But ignore that problem for now, just look at it... YOU CAN SEE EVERYTHING SO CLEAR!2 points -

So I've started getting the orginal textures from the game (since we can't convert them yet) so you can see what they are and make your own replacements. I'll list the packs below when they are done. You can replace the files in your JAM with these too in the relevant folder. New Skyboxes

I'm not sure if this belongs here, since Skyboxes are gradients, rather than textures, but they change in-game visuals, so it's sort of fitting, I suppose. Anyway, I created some personal in-game backgrounds (skyboxes), based on the backgrounds from box deisgns and catalogues. Since LR1 skyboxes are defined by a mere three colours, the possibilities are sort of limited, but I chose to share this anyway... While I generally don't care much for internet memes, the rainbow colours I see when working out ripped textures inspired me to make this Nyan Cat texture mod for Knightmare-Athon. But the Wii and DS did not have the first major original LEGO game in a decade only on that console (excluding LEGO Battles) despite almost every other game being omni-platform, and they didn't have that touchscreen... GIMMICK thing.1 point -

Tutorial: Change the Brick Colors

Just incase anyone who's curious about this hasn't tried it yet, I'd just like to make it clear that changing these files will only change the colors of the bricks you're given to build with, not bricks that you've already placed on your cars. This is actually really great for us, as this means you can change the colors in these files as much as you want to get the bricks you want in any color without messing up the colors of your existing cars. That said, just a heads up: removing a brick off of a car that's not currently placeable will crash the game. (Example, changing a brick from white to green, then attempting to remove a white version of that brick that had already been placed.)1 point -

You guys can rip textures but not geometry? Maybe I misread... but I can only rip geometry out of LR2. I have a few samples lying around if someone wants to mess with them. Some of the things I know I have are the Arctic warp gate, Arctic hub room, one of the stock Arctic snowplow vehicles, the Xalax hub... and a few minifigs.1 point -
