    News: Tons of TT

Uh, no it wasn't? How exactly could it have been? Source? I have not found one person IRL who laughs at it, and doesn't my very existence prove that to be a lie since I did not laugh at it? That makes the result of that even more hilarious.

I'm rather neutral on motion controls, but as far as DS vs PSP goes in sales... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Console_wars#Second_handheld_war http://gizmodo.com/328884/8-reasons-the-psp-will-never-ever-overtake-the-ds Yeah. Oh, and check out the Wii sales in that Wikipedia article too, in the section above the one I linked to. Funny how something "so s***e in every single aspect" has sold so amazingly well, completely topping the competition, eh? ;P

We already have consent from both The LEGO Group and DDI to be able to mod LEGO Rock Raiders and even if we didn't we would be able to use fair use as a defense should it become a problem. However, distribution of the stock game is not something we have permission to do. If you really, REALLY want to pirate it, look it up on Google and don't come to us with any installation or DRM related problems. RRU does not condone or support piracy (though some individual members might, you know who you are). I will, however, provide a link for you to buy the game from a previous owner or an online store. http://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Rock-Raiders-Pc/dp/B00002EPYR

    GDB Viewer 2

Latest build: Beta 2 (adds SKB skybox support, DirectX issues not yet fixed) Old builds: Beta 1 Requires .NET Framework 4 Make sure to read the readme file to understand the controls. If you launch it with a -window flag, it will run in a 640x480 window. I am aware that some users are having DirectX issues, I am looking into this.

    PWB editor V1.2

Basic functions work. You can load a track and load bricks for that track. Modify the position and color of the bricks and directly see the result in the 3D Renderer! Save the PWB file and enjoy in game! Keep in mind, this is very much a work in progress! Chances are big that something might not work correctly or not work at all! For this tool to work you will need .NET4.0- and XNA-redist. Both will be installed once you run setup! Downloads: https://www.rockraidersunited.com/files/dl-r32/ (V1.2, latest) https://www.rockraidersunited.com/files/dl-r464/ (V1.2, no install version by mumboking) https://www.rockraidersunited.com/files/dl-r462/ (V1.1) https://www.rockraidersunited.com/files/dl-r463/ (V0.2) Next versions: Better GUI Selection of blocks in the 3D Renderer Track modification (Origamiguy... help???) //DISCLAIMER// This tool uses models created by lego media. I do not claim any rights over these models, they all belong to lego media. The purpose of the tool is to modify the game for the purpose of fun. This purpose can not be achieved without the game itself, which therefore will still have to be bought. Downloading is stealing! //DISCLAIMER// V1.2 Patch notes Fixed the bug that you would need to reload the map for the "Change all bricks to {color}" and "Change all colored bricks to{color}" to actually see the change. V1.1 Patch notes: Implemented function to add Bricks Implemented function to remove Bricks Implemented function to randomize all bricks Implemented function to change all colored bricks to one color Implemented function to change all bricks to one color V0.2 Patch notes: Fixed the X Coordinate save bug where blocks x position would be flipped when saved You can now click on the screen to enable movement, instead of having to use the button below the screen Some grammar errors Need help? Doesn't something work? Want to give compliments or advice? Feel free to comment below!

Sheesh, aren't we derailing here... I was poking fun of how people said the Wii and DS would never catch on, and would claim the competition would trump. For the DS... I think I know maybe two people who own a PSP. And for the Wii... It actually trumped so much that the competitors made their own motion controllers (Move for Sony and Kinect for Microsoft). That's just irony at its finest. But whatever, back on topic, I actually am looking forward to this, but I'd have to convince my parents buying a Wii U is a good idea. You will not believe the living crap I had to go through just to convince them buying a Wii was a good idea. And this was with my own money.

    ...Hi?

Oh, thank goodness, I feel so much more relaxed now. There is something extremely surreal about this combination of posts, and I'm not sure what.

I agree on the frustration of games being exclusive despite not having any real reason to be so. Really, it's a way of motivating people to get a console - get a bunch of cool games, make them exclusive to a platform, and people might buy the platform for those games specifically. It's not just the Wii U that does this - heh, and we were just discussing ModNation Racers last night... Or I was blabbing about how it made me want a modern LEGO Racers game anyway. There will likely be things to push it, but probably a lot of unnecessary gameplay elements as well. That's the problem with new ideas, for every good thing that might come out of it there's also a lot of bad things as people figure out what works well with it and what doesn't. Still, you can just buy the games that use it well and ignore the ones that don't, as you would pick and choose from any other collection of games. I don't see how it would cause problems, but you don't know until you try it. And yes, maybe there's a liiiiittle bias about that here... The way you phrased it implies that you feel it's a gimmick, but scratched it out and replaced it with "thing" to be more polite.

*cough* *cough* *cough* *cough* Also, don't forget all the Adventurers cameos Indiana Jones had, and all the throwbacks to old themes in LEGO Rock Band, and the cameos of classic LEGO space ships in LEGO Star Wars 2/TCS, and the Space Port astronaut cameo in LSW TCS, and the classic town sets appearing in the various "LEGO City" bonus levels. TT Games actually has quite a history of referencing past themes in their games. :P

    Volume of the game

Couldn't you turn it down in post (aka Windows Movie Maker, Sony Vegas or whatever you're going to use, just lower the volume of the recording from the game and overlay your voice (if you're doing voice)?)? What about the volume in the game options (press ESC and then Options), does that work?

    PWB editor V1.2

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! Can there be by any chance a source code release, or no? I'm sure plenty of people would like to help with this. EDIT: Some Bug reports/feature requests: 1. Typos in camera controls directions. 2. Ability to open both PWB files at once. 3. Pressing enter when selecting a brick will perform the same function as the Search button. 4. (Only if this is possible/isn't too hard to add) Click on a powerup instead of searching through the list. 5. Typos in Readme. BTW, no-JAM works only a 1999 release. However, most people have a 2001 copy, which does not support no-JAM. Haven't added a modded PWB in-game yet, but I will soon.

I would of done the rest of the hair/hats, but I have no idea where the files are (or which they are sharing with). Thanks a lot! I'll add these in later. Ah, thanks again, I was wondering where the colours came from. EDIT: Added in the headgear images.

Topic locked for the moment while the moderators discuss what to do. We don't condone piracy on this forum, which includes download links to the original game. Like Phoenyx said, LEGO and DDI are okay with what we do, and some DDI employees are even members of this site. By the way, calling us names in bad English doesn't make you sound threatening and it gives us a good excuse to moderate your posts to kingdom come.

RGB Emulation Crashes When Loading A Level

First of all, RGB Emulation only looks pretty on LI1, not LRR, so only use it if you have to! (Oh my, I sound like Cheif.) As for getting it to run, you'll have to find "Select Video Card" in the start menu (CLGen in the installation folder) and change video cards to either Voodoo2, or Savage3D. At least, that works for me...
