    First Look at Laval's Journey

Back in early January, it was announced that LEGO's new Legends of Chima IP is set to have a total of three games by the end of the year. The first of these, a web and iOS racing game, was released the very next day to mixed reviews, while a surprising amount of beta gameplay of LEGO Legends of Chima Online was leaked shortly afterwards. And now, we finally get a look at LEGO Legends of Chima: Laval's Journey, a title being developed by TT Games and set for release on the PS Vita and Nintendo 3DS this summer (with a DS version set for a fall release). So, what new information has been revealed? ... Well, nothing to indicate this isn't much more than a run-of-the-mill handheld TT LEGO game, the the only difference being that this time all the characters are furries. The page for the game on videogames.lego.com states that the story is about Laval trying to find "triple-Chi armor", and mentions the game features 15 levels divided into five areas, with each area home to a specific stereotype species: Lions, Eagles, Gorillas, Rhinos, and Crocodiles. There's also a couple of in-game images, but they don't really show much, just some character models: It's still possible that TT has some interesting stuff planned here, but the vagueness of the game's entry on LEGO.com, plus the lower quality of TT's previous LEGO handheld games, isn't making it look that promising. Perhaps that will change once we actually see the game in action. Sources: LEGO.com

    PatchIt! 1.1.2

PatchIt! V1.0 Stable has been released! I've updated the topic post with all details, so I won't repost them here. However, I will say that I completed it in less than a month! I started PatchIt! on January 26, 2013, and today, February 21, 2013, I released the first stable version. By no means is it done yet, I'm going add a GUI and other smaller stuff, but I see this as a big accomplishment for a beginning programmer. If you find any bugs, please report them!

    LEGO Racers 2 AI

At some tracks (like the arctic track with the maze part) the AI will have multiple routes to pick. There is no AI diffeculty level. In LR1 there are more AI paths which can be different for the 'dumb' and 'smart' AI's. I cant find any different paths here. The Normal Opponents use the same part as The Berg and Riegel. About the pickups, The timer they have is always the same. Which results to the fact that a powerup will be fired in the same corner every lap. You see this a lot if you play the same tracks after each other. You will also notice that the first car will always take the pickup (mostly cassaopea). This sucks because the cars in the back are not able to make a come back without powerups. Conclusion: They should have multiple paths for 'dumb' and 'smart' opponents like in LR1. WHich would be randomly assinged at the begin of the race. Sorry if my english sucks. Kaj

  8. It is. DDI is currently sorting out finance at the moment, but soon enough they will get into development once that is done. Welcome to the forum also. Actually, I might shoot off another email soon to Stewart. I only email him every couple of months to check up on progress and suggest ideas so as to not abuse the privilege of discussing things with him. If you have questions you would like to ask about the new project, or ideas (he really wants these) to share please post them and I'll include them with the email. My email is currently at 1,400 words... my largest ever And i'm not done.

    LEGO Racers Menu Font?

Yeah, that is pretty weird! Whats with you lately replying to old threads with little to no help? It's only less than a month old When ripping the textures myself, I found another which seemed to be used for the start of races. I can't remember exactly, but it was ordered something like '1 2 3 4 5 6 G O F I N S H'. So, it's in the order that the characters are required. I.e. the I wasn't placed twice as it was already used before. So I reckon it's to do with the order they're required... About the TTF, I'll see if I can make one. EDIT: I hadn't realised that most free font creation programs don't support using images, so I don't about that. However, I did make this directly from the BMP file, you can upload it to Fontifier and pay $10 for it if you're really interested: LR Font.
