    Rock raider remakes

Woah, do you even understand how forums work? Think back to the classical Roman forums. The entire city converged there. That's where trading happened. Both trading of goods, ideas, and the latest news. Our modern forums are no different. I have two suggestions for you: 1: Prepare yourself for feedback when you post a topic or a reply to another topic. 2: If you want to draw more creativity out of the discussions that will occur, post in one of the subforums created for that purpose. We can apply that second suggestion right now. I (or one of the other staff) can move this topic for you to a more suitable subforum.

    Rock raider remakes

We have various subforums for these things, where people post their own individual topics per creation. Narrowing the Rock Raiders theme down to one topic would make things cluttered, and really makes no sense when we have multiple forums for various types of member creations and feedback. I can see how a post-it-here topic would work for something a subforum doesn't exist for/where there's not enough content for individual topics (for example, RRU quotes, LEGO creation finds from around the 'net, etc), but for this... It just doesn't make sense. How was it leading nowhere? It was almost leading to you learning more about 3D rendering before you flipped out. :|

All we asked is for you to apply our feedback and re-write at least the first chapter so we can see the difference. No need to change the storyline or get angry, you should be happy.

Please, don't get angry and use oversized text. It really isn't the way to go about things on this forum and will only bring you disrespect from other members. Nothing in Cirevam's post was insulting, he was trying to help you achieve a model to be proud of. Additionally, you ask that no one comments on your models, and yet it seems the idea of this topic was for people to post models to receive feedback on? When people produce models that others consider to have room for improvement, they will suggest how that person can improve it. This is not to put them above you, to mock you, or just for the sake of abuse, but rather because these people genuinely want to help you get better at what you enjoy doing - and you should learn from them, as they more often than not will only give such advice if they have good experience themselves. Agreed, it does appear that the topics you have posted have received general feedback that isn't all 'Wahey! Brilliant! Nothing to improve on!', but don't take this negatively. Some people may disagree with me, but I think there is a standard at which work is expected to be on this forum - but this is primarily in terms of effort, not quality (although quality is a major help). If you produce something that has room for improvement, and people make it clear that this is the case - take it on board, and put in the effort to produce something better based on the feedback you have received. Continuing to produce work that could now have extra effort put in to make it better, well it just won't receive the same level of constructive criticism.

    Bandit? Who's that?

For all you Bandit fans, here are pictures of all his lines from the comics in the Adventures issues I have: Unfortunately, it looks like he wasn't really used for much here either. He never really had anything helpful to say.

    Rocket Racers

When I went into the new Star Wars Miniland attraction that replaced Rocket Racers, the main thing on my mind, to be honest, was finding references to the ride that previously stood there. Well, I spotted a few, only some haven't been posted on the internet before: A lot of the original queueline has been preserved. In the first section, the toolrack has been preserved, except for the screwdrivers, which have been changed into lightsabers, and the three screens mounted on the wall are touchscreens from the building room (though they are no longer interactive). The "warp tunnel" between the first and second queueline sections is identical, bar some new lighting, and the brilliant alien rockwork in the second section has been repurposed into waterfalls for the Naboo scene. Looking up at where the upstairs race rooms once were, one of the instructional signs found around the attraction is still mounted to a wall (it's so obvious that I presume it's intentional). The most obscure and fascinating one of all - on the left exterior wall of the attraction, by what used to be The Pit Stop Café, there is an access door - when the attraction became Star Wars Miniland, one of the screen covers for the original CRT racing pods was mounted as a shelter above it! Perhaps the whole racing pods are hiding somewhere... Overall, while the models of Miniland never cease to amaze me, the attraction seemed incredibly weak compared to what preceded it, especially considering the poorly implemented former queueline, and the horrendous wallpapers (featuring stock images of minifigures and sets that will be outdated a few years from now). This was all eclipsed though by the fact that they had refurbished the Creation Centre next door into a Star Wars shop. That's right, one of the only places in the park where LEGO could be witnessed as an art form is now a shop, right next door to the biggest shop in the park. On a brighter note, a new comment on this video has revealed that the music playing outside the Rocket Racers building was "Soul on Desert" from SEGA Rally 2. With this, my collection of Rocket Racers music is now complete (bar a full version of the main theme/exit music), so PM me if you would like to hear some of it!

    Rocket Racers and Rollcage Comparisons

I'm very doubtful that they use the same engine. The physics are totally different - the handling in Rollcage is enjoyable, but atrocious in LEGO Racers 2! However, whether or not Firebugs on the PS2 uses the same engine as both those games, I don't know. For those unaware, Firebugs was the spiritual sequel to the Rollcage games. Another quirk to add to the list - the engine noises of the Rollcage cars are very similar to those of the cars in Rocket Racers, only at a slightly higher pitch (perhaps due to the slightly higher speeds they move at) Best sentence I've heard from someone in a long time! Indeed it was, until they had to rename it because of LEGO Racers 4D.

Fun little update on that. You know, I can trace the inspiration for my robotic LEGO creations back to one builder: Moko. From studying Moko, I learned various T-piece and Snot tricks, and studying him became the basis for some of my earliest digital creations including Color Ops. I have also been studying his third frame models as a basis for some larger robot models. LOOK AT WHAT THE SAME GUY JUST MADE.

Wot I Fink: Modesty and Maturity

I honestly don't see what there is to be offended at here. It's a documentary on something that's a core part of life as a whole. There's a lot to discuss, a lot to document... It seems like a great match for a documentary to me. Would I watch it? Nah, I don't even watch TV, there's not enough content that interests me to make it worth the time and money. But what is there to be offended about with this program? Sex is intimate, but I don't see why it's often considered "dirty". Yes, it can be dirty (the specifics of what you consider dirty depending on your personal beliefs to an extent, but I don't think many will disagree that things like, for example, extramarital affairs are "dirty" in some sense of the word), but sex in and of itself is not some inherently dirty thing that shouldn't be discussed. Heck, if it weren't for sex you wouldn't exist right now. In fact, maybe this documentary actually has some interesting things to say about varying views on sex being a taboo subject, and why some people don't like discussing it, in which case it could be interesting to watch for those wondering about it. But honestly, I don't give a darn about most of what's on TV anyway, I just occasionally watch MythBusters clips on YouTube and that's it, so meh.
