RRU logo video
Mattehw and 6 others reacted to Brickulator for a topic
You may have noticed that I was messing around with the LEGO Racers demo files earlier. After some more tinkering and experimenting I came up with this: What do you think? Any improvements you think it needs? I did try to get rid of the buildings but the game crashed whenever I tried anything. They don't stand out as much with the background I put in anyway. If for some reason anyone wants to use this in a video or something, feel free. I can put a download link up somewhere if you don't like ripping from youtube.7 points -
LEGO Rock Raiders Forum Pack
aidenpons and 5 others reacted to Jimbob for a topic
After many hours of computer buzzing, whirring and humming, I am able to present to Rock Raiders United the LEGO Rock Raiders Forum Pack. This is a collection of downloads for anyone to use (within reason, of course*). Included are a selection of backgrounds, avatars and forum signatures, made in LEGO Digital Designer, converted with the LDD to POV-Ray Converter and rendered in POV-Ray, using decals from LuxorV on Eurobricks (all credit URLs have been given in the ReadMe's). There is also a collection of mouse cursors taken from the Rock Raiders game, with a couple of animated and customised ones. Finally, I have made a simple screensaver in a variety of resolutions from the LEGO Rock Raiders logo. I enjoyed making these and I hope you get just as much enjoyment out of using them. Downloads A collection of avatars to use as profile pictures and such. Over a dozen 1080p HD backgrounds of the Rock Raiders team in various poses. Three simple banners taken from the backgrounds to display in your forum signature. Mouse cursors with Rock Raiders aesthetics, including alternates to give extra choice. A screensaver in which the LEGO Rock Raiders logo floats around the screen. You will need Windows and the latest version of Flash Player to use it. This pack includes screensavers in a variety of different resolutions**, if yours is not present than post it in this topic and I'll add it in. You can preview the screensaver online here. Enjoy! *The contents of these download packs are permitted for personal use only, and must not be edited or redistributed. You may however display these online without giving me credit, although credit is always nice! **Currently supported resolutions are: 1024x600, 1024x768, 1280x720, 1280x1024, 1366x768, 1440x900, 1680x1050, 1920x1080, 1920x1200.6 points -
RRU Quotes 2008-2013
aidenpons and 3 others reacted to Jimbob for a topic
The following takes place between 19:37 and 21:08. Events occur in real time. JimbobJeffers: Ugh, it's creepy when you see Yourself online. JimbobJeffers: It's not so bad when you see else though. le717: You're on a roll, aren't you? lu9: lol JimbobJeffers: It's horrible if you come across a troller though. JimbobJeffers: But sometimes, when you've hit Rock Bottom, you just have to visit RRU again rather than call TheDoctor. JimbobJeffers: I never doubted I'd find AnotherBadGamer such as my Dad. He is one crazychinchilla! JimbobJeffers: But ... He is just the dude. JimbobJeffers: You know what? RR Rocks. I feel like a Prehistoricman saying it, but I have to be the Rock Raider fan no.1. Well, maybe ThatEnglishChap actually is. Fushigisaur: aaaaand it looks like he's all out. But it was fun while it lasted. JimbobJeffers: Please, Fushigisaur, continue my legacy. I don't have the mental capacity to do so right now. le717: Bravo! Bravo! Fushigisaur: Let me test this first... Fushigisaur? Fushigisaur: Okay it works cool Fushigisaur: yo dude, whatup? lu9: lol Fushigisaur: I must say this is harder than it looks... I'm I'm able to find any at all. Fushigisaur: What's with all these guys? They're all a bunch of , Looseminded s, that's for certain. Fushigisaur: I'm glad I brought my magicbottle of greenapples. Which I need for some reason. Fushigisaur: Perhaps I can use them to repair ErosionDamage around my base. My Chrome Crusher's about to fall in the lava and my raiders are dying by the masses. Fushigisaur: It's in here. I've never seen a Storm quite like this one. Fushigisaur: If only I had a Medic, this could all have been avoided. Fushigisaur: It's like playing the Sims only with less interior decorating and more lava. Fushigisaur: Just as much death, though. JimbobJeffers: This is epic, keep going. Fushigisaur: I have all these words and no context in which to use them But these Wordsarecool and I'm not giving up. Yet. Fushigisaur: I just can't the feeling that the Arcade is going to suffer a GiraffeAttack sometime soon. Arthuriel: You have to collect all those sentences in a thread JimbobJeffers: Doing that now Fushigisaur: Just FYI, I installed a in your dell so I can watch you from the Shadows. JimbobJeffers: No! How dare you! I shall have to take a back and stop you. Fushigisaur: WE MUST STOP HIM! RELEASE THE Mantis ARMY! le717: Will you use the TrainsCDG railway? JimbobJeffers: They'll never defeat my . Fushigisaur: Or better yet, let's go with a Raptor army. That ought to do a bit more damage. Fushigisaur: I'll get there first to cut him off. I know where all the LostShortcuts are. le717: And let be your engineer? le717: Sometimes, I wish others where I live were as LocoAboutLEGO as I am. lu9: Oh JimbobJeffers: No, I'll have an LMS Engineer. lu9: Windows Media is an awesomeplayer Fushigisaur: Send in the tanks! And sharpen the Raptors' 's! We need all the strength we can get. lu9: IGOTTAAGREETHATLEGOISAWESOME Fushigisaur: If you serve me well, there will be Jellyfishcake. le717: ??? Fushigisaur: ...That's it, I'm out. You guys take it from here. le717: pandas. le717: Doggie_Bags. le717: You know? Scatman is SO 12 minutes ago. Snackman is the dude on the block! JimbobJeffers: I'm out too. That was epic, I'll post it in a second. JimbobJeffers: Oh le717's still going! le717: Puppy in a Basket! Woot! Woot! Puppy in a Basket! Woot! Woot! Fushigisaur: .-. le717: I need some , to be exact. Fushigisaur: I know where you can find those. They grow them on the fatfarm. Fushigisaur: (and now this is truly all I had, I'm out for real) le717: s... le717: I digg them, man. Fushigisaur: all of the context that this conversation once had is long gone by this point. JimbobJeffers: Okay, this is Overkill now. Please stop, my fingers are killing me from typing all this up le717: OK, that's it. Done for sure. Every give a round of applesocks for everyone who did this! Fushigisaur: JimbobJeffers: *huge crowd applause* le717: people of RRU, in order to create a more perfect LEGO game, research in modding, and perform many long tests! ... Sorry, but I honestly have no other reaction to this. I'll simply point out the most obvious thing I can here: If it's illegal, why would both the site administrator and a moderator provide help on doing it? Cyrem especially is very specific about not allowing illegal anything on this site. :|4 points -

True, but this is a backup CD, which may be used in the event the original disc is lost or destroyed. Yes, digital copies are indeed illegal. (Please see the Software License Agreement) Although, he legally bought the game(Possibly)and therefore he did indeed pay the company.(Unless he got it from Amazon or eBay, or, worst of all, a garage sale, but he still owns it legally.) He never said he was going to send it to a friend, he said he needed to know how to make a backup disc, which, is perfectly legal so long as it is used for personal use only. (Again, see the Software License Agreement) Software License Agreement (I-II) ^Even a 12 year old could understand that.3 points -

WHAT?! That font is NOTHING Similiar to the subtitles in LEGO Island 2. Even, the subtitles for LEGO Island 2 is a font called "Balloon" or something, it is also used on LEGO Stunt Rally and even the old Nickelodeon logo. How would you compare such things?2 points -

LEGO Universe Creation (Lab) Archiver - LUCA
le717 reacted to Hobino for a topic
Hello all, I consider this my first "serious" Python program. It's far from been greatly coded or polished at all, it's even far from been fully working! It's a start and I just thought I could share it here, knowing there are other Python programmers. So, the LEGO Universe Creation (Lab) Archiver, in brief, LUCA, is a simple tool (command line) that downloads the information for every creation from a Creation Lab username and create an HTML file out of it (for every creation). It also gets the pictures associated with the creation. (It will download the video and LDD files, but for now they will have the extension of .jpg, fixing that is next on my list.) I just built version 0.2 of it, which work with the username instead of the memberid, making it more suitable for testing. If you want to have a look, follow the link bellow. To test the program, download the repository as ZIP and execute LUCA.exe in the "Builds" folder. It it supposed to work. Github Repo: https://github.com/Brickever/LUCA Hope you enjoy (a little)! Note: The program is still in development, bugs and missing features are normal!1 point -
My Life As A Composer
Lair reacted to Drill Master for a blog entry
Dear All, Some of you may know that I like music a lot, And that I have actually composed my own music. I have posted a few of my works on Skype and have gotten good feedback, so I am posting my works here for all of RRU to hear. Feel free to comment, criticize, suggest changes, or request anything. I have been composing since Freshman Year 5 years ago. I have played the Alto Saxophone in band for 6 years, and I also play the piano. I have loved the piano ever since I was young. My first keyboard had 32 keys but it was very small. Next I moved up to a 37 key keyboard which was bigger, but I quickly grew too old for it. My current keyboard has 61 full size keys. My choices of music are Soundtracks (video game and movie), New Age (relaxing instrumentals and ambience), Inspirational/Motivational, Classic Rock, and Today's Music. I can play music well by ear, and I have also written piano sheet music. I will update as I compose new works, or dig up some of my old ones. My first work is called "Rise", which some of you have heard on Skype: Rise.mid You need a MIDI Player to listen to it. I use Synthesia. It is free and works well. Other choices are also available. Synthesia Link: http://www.synthesiagame.com/ So have a listen, and see what you think! Notice: I take all of my work seriously. This music is not to be reproduced in any way, unless given permission by me. DM1 point -

I've been wanting to do this for a while but kept running into issues. Wheel here it is- a LEGO Mario Kart It's based on the "Standard Kart"s from MKDS. SO those issues I mentioned? Those white things on the side. No matter what I do they absolutely will not look right, even thought the rest of it does ;-; You like?1 point -

First video I found: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=o2q65Q8b5go#t=17s Ok, not much to see here, but it did confirm that LEGO had a presence at the show, so I kept digging. Then I found this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=SoImUoHTgSk#t=218s Bingo! Right, now to see if there's some better footage of this LEGO Island E3 demo thing... This certainly looks interesting!1 point -

Real word specifications of the LMS Explorer
Leumeister reacted to Arthuriel for a topic
Based on the dimensions of the 1:1 model, that I've built, I would assume the following measurements: Length: 975 studs/ 773,44 cm/ 304,51 in. Width: 134 studs/ 106,38 cm/ 41,88 in. Height: 133 studs/ 104,93 cm/ 41,31 in. If 1 stud equals ~30cm (there was also a discussion about the stud/real life size ratio on page 3 and 4 of my 1:1 LMS Explorer thread), the dimensions would be the following: Length: 292,5m/ ~267,46yd Width: 40,2m/ ~36,76yd Length: 39,9m/ ~36,48yd I hope, that my approximation was a bit helpful . PS: Here is the link to my thread:1 point -

The Man From Rumble

Since you don't seem to be ready to record the lines for the first episode, I still feel like recording something, I might just record some attempted in-character ramblings tonight if I get bored (which I won't be bored, it's Thursday which is when ALL OF MY SHOWS are on- season finales this week) and send them to you. Maybe you'll get some ideas, who knows. The hard part will be getting into character to start with, as my knowledge of post-Mask of Light Bionicle is nonexistent.1 point -
