Additional Brick Colors Mod
dy_enforcer and 8 others reacted to Oboe Shoes for a topic
As you may already know, It's possible to edit the .LEB files in the PIECEDB folder to change what bricks are available in what color in any given category. (Or, by editing a small bit of binary, add additional bricks.) So for those of you who don't wish to mess with these files yourself, or if you just want a nice base for editing with some of the more common ones already there, I've compiled this little mod which will add the following bricks to your game without overriding anything: 11 new basic bricks in beige to the Johnny Thunder menu 14 new green bricks to the Veronica Voltage menu (The 12 basic brick types, plus the flag and spoiler) 1 new green brick to the Castle menu (the Castle theme flag) As for why I didn't split the green bricks up between the Standard and Racing menus, there's an unfortunate hard limit of 30 bricks per menu, forcing me to add to menus with smaller amounts of bricks. Download This is fairly basic for now, but I plan on adding additional pieces that could benefit from additional colors that I can find space for, and it's a good place to start if you want to edit these menus yourself. Remember, you can always edit these files to get any brick you want in any color temporarily, and then switch it back when you're done. I'll also look into any possibilities of getting around the limit of 30 bricks per menu, but for now, enjoy.9 points -

I always thought it was an underwater dome... Hence the sky color changing from black to dark blue when you reach that area, then changing to black again when you go back into the caves, they were trying to make it look like the areas between the support beams were glass with water behind them or something. I also think so. By the way, the shark in that dark blue area is behind the support beams, like it's swimming outside the glass in the Phanta sea. Yep, that confirms it. It swims around outside all of the support beams, never going inside. The dome is underwater. Case closed.3 points -

Don't you just hate it when someone else turns up with a bigger boat? I'm thinking maybe I should change the title of this thread, since it's obviously not just about cutscenes any more And I have started on a tutorial for this stuff but I don't know when I'll be able to finish it. It's pretty easy to do, but it can be a little tedious as you have to edit several files. I'm finding now that the only difficult part it positioning objects correctly. Even using the coordinate viewer it's annoying to do. But I'm getting the hang of it.2 points -
More LEGO Minecraft Sets?
STUDZ reacted to lol username for a topic
I was holding off on posting this news as it was not entirely confirmed, but another piece of evidence has surfaced today, so I think it's likely at the very least. Hungarian LEGO fan site KockaMania reported yesterday that after the massive success of the first LEGO CUUSOO Minecraft Micro World set, LEGO has decided to produce two additional Minecraft Micro World sets. No details on the two sets are confirmed, aside from the set numbers: 21105 and 21106. Thing is, the only source for that information was KockaMania, and fan-operated LEGO blogs have been wrong before. But today, Brickset user AMthedude pointed out that the LEGO.com instruction book for the original set was just changed from "Micro World" to "Micro World - The Forest", as if to differentiate it from other, upcoming Micro World sets. With that interesting tidbit straight from LEGO, I think it's quite likely that KockaMania is correct, and we'll be seeing at least two new modular LEGO Minecraft sets soon. Lair reacted to Mr. Eight-Three-One for a topic
Going by what you said, it sounds like you have a Pentium III there, probably the 650 MHz model. That would mean it's from 2000, though calling it Windows NT is a bit of a stretch -- NT 4 is basically Windows 95 with the NT kernel slapped on it. Even the installation looks identical, right down to the background. Where can I buy these pumkins for gaming? I already found them. They're called Pentium 4s.1 point -

Do you mean the one from the race select screen? Because that's the one I just tried. I've also changed the thread title because it's not just about cutscenes any more. And now I've replaced the boat in Tribal Island Trail with a pirate ship, because pirates are cool. Don't worry people, a tutorial is on the way. I'm just working out exactly what to include since the possibilities for this are pretty huge and I can't include everything. I don't even know what everything is yet :P1 point -

The Running Man Is BACK!!!!!!!!! The Running Man went on leave for awhile, and he has returned, now with his awesome Derpmobile! Just look at how amazing it is! He is really proud of his Derpmobile! Just look at his smile! Here is his awesome steering wheel that goes through the windshield for added comfort! Here is a picture of the Derpmobile's engine! The best part? It runs on MILK!!! The rear end of the Derpmobile, showing the Running Man's license plate. And creepily enough, the Running Man's eyes seem to burn through the windshield! Well, the Running Man has returned, and he has a secret for RRU that he will reveal soon!1 point -

It's more that I'm procrastinating heavily I should be revising but LEGO Racers is distracting me, oops. And yeah, I'm going to do a tutorial, but I'm not sure if I should make it just about getting characters into cutscenes, or something more general. Because I just managed to do this: And I imagine that inserting models into tracks like this, animated or otherwise, will be of interest to more people than just modding the cutscenes. It actually seems pretty easy to copy any model in the game somewhere else. The process is mostly the same as the cutscene stuff anyway, so I might just try to cover it all in one tutorial.1 point -

Please see my Wot I Fink entry on "Maturity". I don't provoke anything. I simply post images relevant to the current situation to the topic. Nobody takes offense to the images themselves, but the message. I could write and it would get exactly the same response. Without intimate understand of what's going on in the PMs or behind the scenes, you can't make assumptions or claims about the actual going-ons of the site. Ben and I are discussing things like this, and it's just a matter of people jumping in a little too fast. You claiming that we're all "ganging up" on members is even worse than this "dirty pool" you're talking about. You're making assumptions that we WANT there to be a fight. We don't. We want civility, and we want to be able to share our mind without fear of being persecuted for "stepping out of line". So don't. It's not your responsibility or your position, and once an actual moderator sees this, they're going to go into overdrive about it. There will be punishments all around, me and yourself included. It doesn't help the community when you're trying to defend the actions of a member who hasn't followed forum rules or staff advice (but will hopefully learn so he can become a part of the family too). McStudz, I have respect for you to, but in the spirit of honesty, I think you sometimes jump into the vigilante role without an understanding of the true problems that lie underneath. I don't want this to rip apart any respect or companionship formed, but I think you need to spend a little more time reading about the entire subject instead of looking at everything on a single post basis. And we are. Some people are just blind to the real issues.1 point -
