The 2nd Skype Libs! story! #2) VIDEO GAMES I love to [POSSESS] video games. I can play them day and [TRAY]! My mom and [HOT DOG] are not too happy with my [MEASURING] so much time in front of the television [CIREVAM]. Although Dad believes that these [sEDUCTIVE] games help children develop hand-[PHALLUS] coordination and improve their learning [PIES], he also seems to think they have [sPEEDY] side effects on one's [FUNNY BONE]. Both of my [EDITORS] think this is due to an [AMERICAN] use of violence in the majority of the [AUSTRALIANS]. Finally we all arrived at a [POOR] compromise: After dinner I can play [34] hours of video games, provided I help clear the [PRINCESS] and wash the [MODERATORS]. Skype Libs!

So. I was bored. It was late. I went to my bookshelf. I found some old "Mad Libs" books. That is when the idea was born!! I thought "Hmm. These books were fun. Let's make them MORE fun. Let's ask friends on Skype to fill in the words. Let's make these stories even better! And so, Skype Libs! was created. I took one of the stories from one of the many books I have. I asked people from RRU for certain types of words that I needed. The words are in brackets [ ]. Here is the outcome: WARNING: YOU MAY EXPERIENCE SEVERAL WTF'S WHILE READING THESE STORIES. #1) EAT, DRINK, AND BE SICK An inspector from the Department of Health and [bANANA] Services paid a visit to our [FUNKY] school cafeteria. The lunch special, prepared by our [PENSIVE] dietitian, was spaghetti and [MCJOBLESS]-balls with a choice of either a [ZEUS] salad or french [WEENIES]. The inspector found the meat-[PIANOES] to be overcooked and discovered a live [uNITY3D] in the fries, causing him to have a [WENIS] ache. In response, he threw up all over his [PALM TREES]. In his report, the inspector [WATERBOARDINGLY] recommended that the school cafeteria serve only nutritious [POWER MINERS] as well as low-calorie [MEDICS], and that all of the saturated [FORUM TROLLS] be eliminated. He rated the cafeteria an [F] minus. Tune in tomorrow for a new Skype Libs! story!2 points -
~The Brony Herd~

I saw Equestria Girls much earlier today at a local cinema. I won't spoil anything for anyone, but I will note that it isn't anywhere near as bad as some of you might expect it to be, and actually was thoroughly enjoyable, inspiring, and amazing imo. Two girls in the front row were dressed as AppleJack and Trixie, and there was an apparently hardcore brony sitting across from me with a Rainbow Dash backpack who was talking of all his MLP:FiM merch, and at the end of the movie imitated Rainbow Dash and screamed: "That was awesome!".2 points -
First Glimpse of LEGO DeLorean (McStudz Subsequently in a Fanboy-induced Coma)
Arthuriel reacted to STUDZ for a topic
Remember when the DeLorean from Back To The Future was confirmed as a LEGO set coming from LEGO CUUSOO? Well, we've finally got a first glimpse of it from the July calendar/newsletter for the LEGO Store. According to the LEGO Store, this set will be coming on a specific date: July 18th. No word yet on whether or not it will come with minifigures and/or extra parts to create the other versions of the time machine (The version seen here was from Part II). Prices are mum as well. But one thing is certain: "Once this baby hits store shelves, you're gonna see some serious bricks." @Fushigisaur: Thank you for all the alternatives. Maybe I should use them all at once in a comic @Cirevam: My painkiller screwdrivers Insane Raiders MOC approves your message. Look, how happy he is during his insane activity . (I built this MOC, while I was making my comic. Yesterday I slightly altered it a bit to make it look more like a Rock Raider (not exactly, but probably close enough)):1 point -

Wow, this is madness... ...excellent . I think, that the comprise is poor, too. I mean: only 34 hours? Sounds bad . besides:Somehow these McJobless-balls reminded of Chef's salty chocolate balls from South Park . PS: the dialogue in jamesster's next LEGOs space game should also be made in the same manner.1 point -

Oh yes, I'm quite certain many of us know you already. Of course, you know me and I know you so I'm not gonna bother with intro-y stuff as that would be quite pointless. ... I honestly have no idea what you're saying in your post as the color makes my brain hurt, so I just read it as this:1 point -

Which skin are you using? Because in the RRU skin, the colour of your text makes it very difficult to read. Welcome btw.1 point -
My First Sprite EVAR! (Help Wanted)
Fush reacted to Prototyke for a topic
Starting from scratch is very good, but it takes some skill. Considering that this is your first sprite and you don't consider yourself an artist, it's not bad, but you need a lot of practice. Using a base or other art, although not good for final pieces, is a good way to learn. I used the images Fushigisaur showed to make a proper base for you. http://i.imgur.com/ZYnobYy.png You can use this to practice basic shading of clothing and hair. Don't only use this base though, it takes longer but using a larger base (say, 40x40 or 70x70) can give great practice on the details as Fushigisaur has already mentioned. Although you don't have to know what you are planning to make your art for, if you do, you'll have a goal. Goals are the momentum to keep you going when your art is junk (which it will be sometimes), when you are too lazy to put in the time that this can take (which you will be sometime or another), and it usually means you will end with something nice. Happily for you, this was my first sprite. Your first sprite is much better than mine was, and I have come a long way from that, so you too can undoubtedly get better. I made this years ago, when I was quite young, so it will still take quite some work for you to get good. And if you need any specific help, you can PM me. I'm not sure if I'm willing to tutor you thoroughly, but I can give you advice or a tip whenever you need one, and I could link you to some very good tutorials. Edit: When you make more, post them here. I'd love to see them.1 point -

Tunnel Gunship
aidenpons reacted to RockmoddeR for a topic
With the carrying capacity of the Small Transport truck and the maneuverability of the Tunnel scout combined with the convenience and range of the Small Mobile Laser Cutter, the Tunnel Gunship is classified as a large vehicle, despite its smaller formfactor. It can cross all terrain types at a speed similar to an upgraded Chrome Crusher. It can also be used as a defense vehicle, and action stations functionality can be toggled on and off.1 point -
Large Drilling Cruiser
Car CrazeXVI reacted to RRChief for a topic
In some missions, you might have noticed ore or EC seams that cannot be drilled since they are surrounded by water (e.g Search N' Rescue). Well, that will no longer be a problem with the Large Drilling Cruiser. Armed with 2 drill arms, this sleek vehicle powers over the waves, drilling rock faces that could not be drilled previously for the above reason. The resources are then collected by Rapid Riders. The vehicle can also serve as a form of transportation for RRs, they are loaded in the back compartment and then carried over to the other side. However, the most unique feature is its ability to dive underwater. In dive mode, the drill arms fold down to allow the vehicle to dip into the water. This allows the RRs to conduct underwater exploration, extending their search for more resources or to discover strange hidden caverns. So, teleport one down and start cruising around with this baby. LMS Explorer (V4)
Car CrazeXVI reacted to Lop Huckawuckie for a topic
Hi all, I am back with my LMS Explorer V4 (finally!). I have again (re)created the LMS Explorer from the Rock Raiders PC game. I made some significant changes, basically building it again from scratch in order to make it more realistic. My previous version of the LMS Explorer was built around (actually on top of) a series of green baseplates. I decided to go with a more realistic, shaped hull design for this version. I used just simple 2x4 gray bricks to shape the basic structure of the hull. This is a significant improvement over my previous designs. (See the changes from V1, V2, V3) This ship is the most important Rock Raider vehicle as it holds all of the Rock Raiders, their equipment, materials, and other supplies. Capable of reaching lightspeed via powerful engines, the LMS Explorer also carries a powerful shielding system capable of defending against such threats as asteroids and other interstellar debris. With an advanced sensor array and an advanced long range teleportation system, the LMS Explorer is fully equipped to transport and support the Rock Raiders mining team on extended missions. This is the vastly improved version of my first generation LMS Explorer which was too short and had too many miscellaneous doodads. V1 It is a further improvement over the second generation version of my LMS Explorer which, while better, was still too short and blocky. V2 The hull shape in particular is more refined than the hull shape of the V3. I also added more elements to break up the long gray continuity of the hull. V3 This ship is not supposed to be an exact replica, but rather a good impression of it, so I took some artistic license in places. If I had more gray bricks, I would have pushed the length of the ship a bit longer to make it more proportional with the bridge/command tower. Also, I could implement an underside to the ship as well. Currently it's just open on the bottom with supports to help it stand. I'm not sure what scale this would translate to, but it felt right. I hope you enjoy this creation of mine; Rock Raiders was an amazing theme!
