What Is Better Power Miners Or Rock Raiders ?

Ah, yes. This poll. Coming from a forum where polls are completely anonymous, I did not hesitate to choose a silly answer that was an obvious exaggeration of my true feelings. However, I see things are a little... different here, and you can see who voted what. Now, everyone can see that I voted "Rock Raiders, duh, Power Miners suck", which is a laughably immature answer that I chose only because I thought it was silly and I would be anonymous. Since I'm not anonymous, I do feel it is necessary to explain that my true feelings towards Power Miners aren't so immature. Instead, I feel that, design-wise, the Power Miners sets are much better than Rock Raiders. Yes, I prefer the sci-fi futuristic style of Rock Raiders, but as a LEGO fan, I cannot ignore the fact that Rock Raiders sets consist primarily of big, chunky, specialized pieces that do not leave much room for a truly engaging building experience... in other words, Rock Raiders is "juniorized". Power Miners, on the other hand, was released ten years later, and it definitely shows. Compare the build of, say, the Chrome Crusher to the Thunder Driller; the Chrome Crusher is basically cockpit, rollcage, drill, laser, four wheels, and some other bricks slapped on a chassis, whereas the Thunder Driller uses much more versatile LEGO elements and even includes gear functions. While, again, I prefer the color scheme of Rock Raiders, Power Miners uses its colors in a much more streamlined fashion while Rock Raiders seemed to almost haphazardly throw in tons of different colors. Power Miners has other things I like as well. Multiple sizes of Rock Monsters (ranging from Rock Goblins to Crystal Kings), Lava Monsters, Energy Crystals of all colors... things that would appeal to a Rock Raiders fan such as myself. But, at the end of the day, I still prefer Rock Raiders. As mentioned before, I enjoy the more futuristic designs of Rock Raiders vehicles, and the grey and teal color scheme looks much cooler in my opinion than the lime and orange color scheme of Power Miners. I also find that the characters in Power Miners are far less memorable than those of Rock Raiders; while they were given bios on the official website, they always seemed generic and interchangeable in comics and other media. The goofy depiction of the Rock Goblins (toilet humor and all) did not appeal to me, and while their concept art looks awesome (seriously, that concept art resembles the mental image I had when first hearing that Power Miners Rock Monsters would be a blend of rock and crystal), there was something about the physical appearances of Rock Trolls in the final products that made them look just plain odd to me. Personally, I also prefer the Rock Raiders storyline over that of the Power Miners; while "stopping Rock Monsters from creating earthquakes and destroying the planet" should have been engaging, I think the combination of unmemorable characters and goofy antagonists made it hard to feel like there was anything to invest yourself in. And, of course, there's the Rock Raiders PC game, the very game that this forum is founded on, and Power Miners had no contender with that. So, at the end of the day, even though I acknowledge that Power Miners has far superior set designs and is a decent theme in its own right, I'll still personally prefer Rock Raiders. However, Power Miners does not "suck", and if you prefer Power Miners, I'm happy for you. Much of the above paragraph, after all, is based upon my mere opinions rather than actual hard facts. It's just my opinion, and my opinion is that Rock Raiders is better than Power Miners.

    Lego Youtube Poop

Repetition, especially involving speeding up, slowing down, and reversing, is generally seen as AIDS (don't do it). As is the WTFBomb, which I was about to commend you for not using at the arctic scene but then the ending ruined it. And you couldn't even hide your mouse cursor or the fraps FPS in your LEGO Island footage. Disappointing. I'm sure there's a few salvageable things but it would take too much detail to narrow them out.

    LR2 HAX0R

Oh hey, interesting to see you here. I was trying to get in contact with you two or three years ago, as (if I remember right) you had a chat with a LR2 dev and had gotten some info on the tools used to create the game... But both of your YouTube accounts were closed, and I couldn't find you on any other sites, so I got rather stuck. Hello, That was bull, I was around 12 at the time and I loved making stuff like that up, I was always interested in modding games (Especially A.I.) and I was trying to sound interesting, sorry for that. I think I'm going to stick around on this site for a while, I would really love to contribute and enter contests like the Lego Racers 1 contest. The creators of the LR2 music did send me some unused music though, they shipped it to me for free.

LEGO Racers 2 Cheat Engine Hacks

Hi all! My name is Kajeuter and I am new on this forum. I was the one who found all cheat engine hacks for LEGO Racers 2. Its too bad that the GTC file hasnt been cracked yet. Never heard about it, and no programs on google. But the FILELIST.ini has very much files, and when u change something like cars, it works. But when u change textures, it wont work for some reason. Anyway, to get all the Cheat Engine cheats, look here: https://www.box.com/s/yqm510p18s89sdah4r7e A friend of mine gave the hacks another try and he found this: - Brickboost wont decrease when using it - Brickboost wont increase - Your car cant lose peaces - You can't get any pieces back when u lost them (so when ur running and go for pit, u only get the under part back) - You cant get your car back He is working on: - Ulimited powerups If any of you have any questions about the Cheat Engine, u can post below and I will explain what u have to do the get a certain cheat working. Thanks Segatendo for recommand me this Forum! Kaj

    Racers Upgrade Pack

Over the past week or so, I've been attempting to make a pack of skins that not only features texture corrections for two of the game's characters, but also features several classic minifigures to replace the more boring body parts (i.e. the racing suits, Majisto's body, the regular moustache/sunglasses/skeleton heads). The pack provides a corrected chest texture for Commander Cold, and textures for Black Knight that match the actual Black Knight minifigure (no more mish-mash Fright Knights and Dragon Knights parts...). This includes a new face, chest and swapped helmet colours. The MAP has also been modified for Black Knight (Commander Cold doesn't need one). Meanwhile, here's the list so far for the additional characters, check out the spoiler at the end of the post to see them in action: Señor Palomar - Amazon Adventurers Sheriff Deputy - Western Spyrius Agent - Spyrius Space Port Astronaut - Space Port (Rocket Racers homage ) ??? - Castle character The last figure brings me to a question - I wanted to use the black Castle helmet in a figure, so do you guys think I should do a Fright Knight character or a Black Falcon? I'll try and get the textures up by next week! Señor Palomar (expressions and corrected face needed): Sheriff Deputy (complete): Spyrius Agent (expressions and retextured helmet needed): Space Port Astronaut (corrected face and Space Port chest needed): Corrected Commander Cold: Corrected Black Knight (Expressions needed):

    Reverse Racing in Lego Racers

I installed Lego Racers on my desktop a few days ago, and I decided to see how well I could drive backwards while racing. i did fine on Imperial Grand Prix, so I decided to try it out on all the other tracks: Imperial Grand Prix - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wAp-s3wU7bU Dark Forest Dash - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vUFBPBvTw9k Magma Moon Marathon - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rvSbFXmcjGk Desert Adventure Dragway - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QY-ZgqZ1aZo Tribal Island Trail - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WcnDpAaSQOc Royal Knights Raceway - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GIDNnxpzFI Ice Planet Pathway - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5k5KInWtkAc Amazon Adventure Alley - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUHvD7nMQ0o I know this is pointless, but I decided to do it since it seems that nobody else has tried it. I will post footage of the Circuit 3 tracks and Rocket Racer Run after I have unlocked those circuits. Also, I am not going to be doing the mirrored tracks.

    Lego Youtube Poop

Alright, unlike lair I don't make ytp's, but I've been watching all kinds since 06, so I think I have a good enough knowledge to provide some critique. First off, unlike lair I never found the stutter too bad, you actually handled that nicely. The memes, though, definitely have to go. Another thing- it may be personal preference, but I'd have liked to see the earrape bits turned up a bit.

I blame the overpowered speed upgrades. They're almost as broken...nah, I take it back, they ARE as broken as the warp turbo.

Hi, I'm SquidTard. I used to play LR2 a lot and I found this site by accident, and it's funny to see my name being mentioned. Kajeuter, foodjerk and I used Cheat Engine to change the character variables to be able to play as NPC characters. Here's a tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKTRwKut7c8 Enjoy.

Not a problem at all . When I saw this, I was certain that it was just a coincidence. And even if it wasn't, I wouldn't care.

    The old lego.com

The wayback machine can't play very many games because it can't run the scripts that the games use. If you go to the biomedia project, you can download restored versions of older webgames.
