    http://www.rockraidersunited.org/topic/5151-raiders-untitled/ It's not a mod, it's a from-scratch remake.

    New rock type for RU?

Running out of wall types is not a problem. We can support up to 65535 different types with the legacy format. Just to clarify, you guys mean us to have the following wall types? Soil would be drilled at the same speed as dirt from the original game. Dirt would be about the same as speed as loose rock. Loose rock would be drillable by rock raiders, but it would take exceedingly longer than the others. Hard rock, and Solid rock would stay the same. Another option would be to rename soil to dirt, dirt would be loose rock and loose rock would be "packed rock." The only difference would be in names. I personally would rather just keep soil. What do you think? Does anyone have any questions or concerns? I found the poll to be rather ambiguous, so I'm just making sure you guys know what you're voting for.

    Axle Concept Art

From the album: Pictures made using Blender

I know I already have a picture of this but I decided to do it again in Blender's 'Cycles Render' engine. Also I done a few colour corrections on the Granite Grinder. I will say this but for some odd reason Axle's pose is starting to remind me of Claptrap from Borderlands.

Maybe Sparky's setup is better. Revive Soil entirely, and shift the drill times around. I'll accept that.

But you cannot add a new wall type! The binary codes of the surf.map is already "full" so that you are not able to add any new wall types. You could try to add new codes with a hex editor (that's what I tried some months ago) but it doesn't work. It is hard-coded that you cannot add any new wall types. You can just replace textures and drilling times! Sorry, thought you be talking about LRR.

It might be best to shift everything down so we can use the normally unused Soil texture. Thus, the current Loose Rock would become Packed Rock. We won't need to create new textures that would need to be consistent with the existing art style so it's the path of least effort. Custom biomes will need to include that extra texture, but the art style should be consistent in those cases.

    The Great Kanohi Project

That's a pricey cough drop. I know that I missed a week or two, but I'll try to catch up sooner or later. I finished the great Matatu for this week. Shading white things is surprisingly hard, but this mask looks much better than the Akaku in my opinion. I think I got the angles in the bottom correct, but I'm still unsure about those upper "eyes" on the left.

    Adult-Sized LEGO Watches Return

For those who are still a little old-fashioned and still wear watches (Myself included), you're in luck: Bricklink and The Brick Fan have reported that LEGO is going to release a series of official LEGO watches aimed at AFOLs. Dubbed the "LEGO Watch System", 25 different watches are planned and, much like the more commonplace children's models, you can customize everything from the band to the bezels. All sorts of colors and designs are in the pipeline, so if you like watches (and why wouldn't you?), be sure to keep an eye on this. They will be out by November, just in time for Christmas with a price range from $85-$185 (So these aren't just bigger watches; they're made from quality materials). For more images, click the latter link in the Sources! Sources: http://www.brickset.com/news/article/?ID=7841 http://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-watch-system-revealed/

    Respect The Classics, Man!

Should have listened to your gut on this one. No where in the discernable universe is "oh well" a valid reason to do anything, least of which bumping a topic that had been dead for three years. Do. Not. Do. It.

    Raiders Untitled

What's this? Somebody is starting a LEGO fan game by actually working on the backbone of the game for once, instead of making a wikia site and concept models in LDD cruddy drawings and textures in MS Paint? Yay! (Not that all projects are like that, but man, there sure are a lot of cruddy LEGO Universe fan games out there at the least...)

    Fush's [non-LEGO] Rock Raiders Fanart

The nerve of that guy.... eating a sandwich. Hmm. This is like a colorful punch in the face, in a good way. You know, like when your friend dips his hand in paint and punches you in the jaw, and you get mad but then he make a funny face and you laugh so hard that you habbabbabalblahh........ But yes, I like it very much so. The clash of colors, the fine details, the improper handling of explosives. I like the Rock Raiders symbol on the back of the uniform. Nice touch. Have you concedered making a fan fiction story ore something? I think these would work well not so much as a comic, more on the lines of a graphic novel perhaps? I'm just throughing ideas around. And your shading is great. Really good proportionally. Well I think that about does it. Great Job.

    Fush's [non-LEGO] Rock Raiders Fanart

I felt like drawing a female, so... I don't want to tackle the main characters yet, I didn't want to do a pilot 'cause Jet, and I couldn't remember the uniforms for the other jobs, so I did another standard raider. This one was actually easier because I had already done the first one as practice. I altered the vest a bit, this time basing it more off of Sparks's outfit. As with the first one, I only had my 3DS to take a picture, will have higher-quality upload tomorrow.
