Hi everyone. College student living in New York State here. Loved Rock Raiders back in the day - was basically obsessed with the game, although I never actually finished it (After getting stuck on Don't Panic! life must have intervened). Haven't really thought about it since I was about 14 I suppose but it popped into my mind recently and after some searching I found this community. Ha - never knew there was such a place like this and that people modded the game. I reinstalled it yesterday and after using a couple of the helpful tweaks I've found posted here I was playing without any problems (Except for being unable to use Sonic Blasters - from what I've gathered there isn't a fix for that, though). Not sure how often I'll be on here but I'm surprised and happy to find a community revolving around something I sunk quite a lot of time into as a kid and I'll certainly revisit consistently to keep track of any new developments. Looking forward to getting through the entire game this time, with the help of some new tips and tricks (Never occurred to the 14-year-old me to speed up the game time). Maybe try some mods after that? God, the sets were great too, although I only have the small ones - the Hover Scout and the Rapid Rider. Bought a Chrome Crusher off eBay back in the day but it came incomplete and with the wrong pieces - I remember being quite devastated. I'd like to complete my collection someday, but those sets aren't getting any cheaper. I used to be fairly active on the old BZPower forums, especially the Rock Raiders thread, but stopped visiting around the same time I stopped playing Rock Raiders. Since then, Bionicle ended and the old BZP is gone, unfortunately. Couldn't remember my old logon info so I made a new account the same time I registered here and found my old profile page - none of my old posts, of course. A real shame, though. It's been so long that I don't remember any particular members from that site, though I'm sure at least one or two from the Official Rock Raiders Thread are on these forums now? Ah, nostalgia. Played all the way up to Explosive Action today before my raiders got Idleness Syndrome (Not sure if we use that term here but I recall it from BZP) Forgot how frustrating the AI breaking was, but hearing Jet's sweet voice tell me that an energy crystal has been found makes everything worth it. It's great to be here.

I built this one quite a while ago (didn't know about this forum back then, if I would have I would definitely have posted it earlier!) and it is currently my only "in game" model that I've re-created in real bricks. The desk clerk has to work night shifts now to accommodate the extra guests. The hotel has always been understaffed, but it was never a problem before when no one ever stayed there. The winds and rain from outside mix together with the sound of smooth jazz coming from room 17 as she sits, doing the crossword puzzle on the back of the local paper with a pen that one of the guests had carelessly left behind. Suddenly she hears another sound- thunder? Couldn't be, no. Some kind of thumping though- and then, one loud CRASH. It came from the stairwell. She dropped her paper and calmly made her way to the stairwell to investigate. There, she found the bent, bruised and broken form of Drill Master looking up at her. He must have fell. She glanced up at the top of the stairwell, and several floors up she saw the edge of a shadow disappear around a corner and she knew- he didn't fall. He was pushed. She pulled out her phone to dial 911, but had no signal. Cliffport didn't have a good cell signal normally and the chances of getting reception during a storm were less than none. She tried the landline- dead. Someone had cut the line. The storm outside was getting worse by the minute, there was no leaving at this point. They were trapped. She knew that one of the new guests was a doctor, so she called them up. There was nothing that the doctor could do. All the other guests were awakened from the commotion, and gathered for a council. One of them had killed Drill Master, and the other guests wanted justice. And so the first night has passed, and four guests remain. Morning has come.

We don't hate how they look, we hate the sheer fact that they exist and LEGO is actually doing this.

This looks great! About your questions: 1) I think it'd be good to have a system where ore and crystals are localized by default, so separate bases have separate resource counts. In that case, there should be a building or something similar that allows easy transportation of resources, since you don't want to have to send transport trucks back and forth all the time. 3) I like the feature of LRR that raiders are able to cross corners between rocks that vehicles cannot cross.
