Review: #21017 Imperial Hotel
The Ace Railgun and 2 others reacted to Meiko for a topic
#21017 Imperial Hotel Review by Meiko Photo Review The Box Like all other Architecture sets I've seen, this set's box is high quality, sturdy, and easily reusable. It opens from the top, which makes it easy to use as a parts bin while building, and as storage later on. The Contents I was surprised to see that the bags in this set weren't numbered, although I don't remember if they Robie House's bags were either. Once building though, it wasn't particularly necessary, as long as I managed to keep the small pieces away from the big pieces. The Instructions The instructions in LEGO Architecture sets are not only durable, but fun to read. At the beginning, there's lots of information about the history of the building, which is fun to read, and at the end, it has some history of LEGO Architecture (not just the theme, but past themes that were similar) and about the author of the instructions. Even throughout the pages, there are tidbits of information about the building, which are fun to take a break from building and read. The Build This is possibly one of the most advanced LEGO builds I've done in a long time, but that's not to say it wasn't thrilling. After I got back from the LEGO store with several sets to choose from, I decided to build this one right away, and that was certainly a good choice. The amount of details put into this set is incredible. The most tedious part was probably the different windows across the building, but it was not too difficult, just long. Overall, the build in this set is excellent. The Model The finished model is absolutely beautiful. As I said before, the amount of detail put into this set is incredible. The set is smaller than the Robie House, which is still the largest Architecture set I have, but the amount of detail in the Imperial Hotel is much greater than that of any of the other Architecture sets I've bought. It's definitely a set I'll be keeping on display for a long time. Conclusion This is definitely one of my favorite Architecture sets after building it, and I'm certain others could say the same. If you are getting this for a child, and its their first set of this caliber, I would recommend a different set besides this one, for example Brandenburg Gate or the Robie House. If you or the person you are getting the set for has experience building more complex models, this would be a great set to get. Personally, I'd recommend this as an excellent gift, even for a non-LEGO fan. Although I knew little about the Imperial Hotel compared to the other landmarks the Architecture series has covered, I did research and looked at photos, and this was done at a very high standard, and is something I might even expect to see in a museum gift shop. It's that high quality. Rating Design: 10 / 10 - A very well-designed set, with great display quality Quality: 10 / 10 - One of the most detailed models I've built in LEGO in a while Fun: 8 / 10 - The build is very fun, and much more complex than many other LEGO sets Price: 7 / 10 - A bit pricey, but worth it3 points -

Ha! a friend sent me a sample where the infomaniac was used...I am sincerely am honored..Why? because I wrote, designed and was the creative director of LEGO Island and designed the infomanic- many people and the staff said he looks like you...I didn't intend that but well....The product started in 1995 and realeased in 1997.the software abd development was pretty antiqye compared what was it was capable of doing then...but all and all- cool for seeing this...I gotta tell you- it was quite a maze to figure out how to register and I hope one can read this...Cheers all.3 points -

I slept in and missed the bus and no one even noticed I wasn't there All these reports of me in my lab are false, i was trying to catch up to the bus the entire time. The Berg sent me the wrong direction and then I ran into a bonus game vortex on accident and doc wouldn't let me leave until I picked up all his stupid weather balloons. I finally managed to take the helicopter to our base leading up to right now. So if u excuse me I'm going to go take a nap. O.T. Real reason i was gone=school3 points -

Small CSS fix for site navigation bar
Guurahk204 reacted to le717 for a topic
It does seem to be a Chrome issue. I do not think it would do any harm adding it in the global CSS (rather than making it Chrome only), since it had no effect on other browsers.1 point -

Mafia: The Game
The Ace Railgun reacted to le717 for a topic
Provoke me, nah! More like thoroughly confuse me. Besides, that almost looks like I was playing the game. (And I'm not saying this because it is my turn), I think JJ is right. Let the narrator do their job and each player narrate their entrance and own part, like in round 3. So, quick recap of who is playing this round: JimbobJeffers Xiron The Ace Railgun Yajmo Drill Master Fushisaur le717 Is that correct, everyone? I do not have the roles yet, so I will set up the scene and give more details once I am fully prepared. ---------------------------------------------- ROLE PLAY SETTING ---------------------------------------------- We are taking around trip in the T.A.R.D.I.S going back to the old American West! A time when there were outlaws and bandits in every town, where cattle drives from the Dakotas to Texas was normal, before barbwire fences were being put up left and right, when being alone on the prairie meant you were really alone, when many of the the natives lived in their own land, when the fastest form was transportation was the locomotive, a time when Davy Crockett and Paul Bunyan where creating the old folk tales, when all the men wore cowboy hats and boots with spurs, and horse-back was how you got from ranch to ranch. You are all cowboys, ranchers, and you all own a large amount of land and cattle, and have the finest homestead you could build. You all live in the same (large) area, and could be considered neighbors. You also have a family (if you so desire to RP that small fact). Go ahead and start as if this is the start (so, 3 4 AM, AKA The Crack of Dawn) of any normal day out in the west.1 point -
