The Greatest "Sonic the Hedgehog" MOC

With the latest version of LEGO Digital Designer including some new pieces, I was finally able to truly capture the likeness of everyone's favorite blue hedgehog. Marvel at how incredible it is. Forget Mad Jack and Dino Attack Headquarters, this is easily the greatest MOC I have ever created. Possibly even the greatest MOC in the world. The greatest Master Builders only wish they were skilled enough builders to create something as incredible as this.

    Custom Vehicle Over Pre-Built

EDIT: Use this tool instead! Alright, before we get started, the first thing you must know is that this DOES require knowledge of using a Hex editor, unless of course someone programs a tool. I know Hex editing isn't an easy thing ( or so you think. Did you even try? ) I am willing to port people's builds over to pre-builts for distribution so long as your construction is of quality. Things to know before we get started: Pre-builts are located in /game data/car builder/worldname/filename.CCD Customs are located in GameSave, in which afaik the dirrectory is /Documents/Games/LEGO Racers 2/Saved Games/ (if different for you let me know!) 1) Alright, so first off go build your majestic car in game, and then save it, and once you are done, return here. 2) Open your GameSave and any pre-built vehicle of choice in your desired Hex editor (for those asking, I myself use HxD). 3) Copy any of the following blocks of data and paste/replace over to the pre-existing file are you're good to go! P.S. Yes, the AI racers do use these pre-builts as well. Offsets to know: Sandy Bay: 94C-C3F Sandy Bay 2: C40-F33 Arctic: 20EC-23DF Arctic 2: 23E0-26D3 Dino Island: 388C-3B7F Dino Island 2: 3B80-3E7E Mars: 502C-531F Mars 2: 5320-5613 Xalax: 67CC-6ABF Xalax 2: 6AC0-6DB3 (there are more, but should I really bother?) Sandy Bay Adventure Car: 8014-8307 Arctic Adventure Car:: 8308-86FB Dino Island Adventure Car: 85FC-88EF Mars Adventure Car: 88F0-8BE3 Xalax Adventure Car:: 8BE4-8EDF How-to video: http://youtu.be/Ngqsk0qthXc

Intro Cutscene Mod - Paradise City

This is a modification I made to demonstrate many of the things you can do with cutscenes, as covered in my >Custom Cutscenes tutorial. It changes the 'intro' to LEGO Racers 2, where you first speak to Sparky on Sandy Bay and learn the controls, replacing it with an intro to the island in a movie-style with various camera techniques (and a suitable background song to go with it). You can check out the mod in the video below: http://youtu.be/sVz6zpMtErA Credits: - A huge thanks to le717 for recording this mod for me! - le717 combined the mod with 's >Hudless Arrowless mod, so thank you Segatendo for that - The song that is played is Paradise City by Guns N' Roses. Because this mod contains a song, uploading it would be a breach of copyright. However, other than the song, there is only one file that is modified so I'll post it below. The script below is INTRO1.TXT, which you can find in GAME DATA/SCRIPTS/SANDY ISLAND. I have commented it to some extent to give you an idea of what is going on in each section. The majority of this cutscene didn't actually take that long to produce, the only part that took hours (literally) was the small section with the Sandy Bay racers having a conversation. I tried putting them in various places around the island and doing different things, but it turned out these characters (and them alone, I'm pretty sure) are really buggy to work with as they are both found around the island and conversed with before/after races. If you can avoid using them, I would, hence why that particular section wasn't as good as the rest.

Alright, alright, let's not push him. He must have spent AGES producing this.

Intro Cutscene Mod - Paradise City

Adding on to this, I've had a go at making a custom cutscene for the intro. It's nothing fancy though, it just shows that it can be done To test it out, copy the script below into any of the four 'TRACK#INTRO' files, which are located in all the world's script folders other than Sandy Bay's. Unfortunately, characters such as Sparky cannot be used in these cutscenes as they don't actually appear in them. But if you're hoping to do a track preview then you shouldn't need that anyway.

    Additional Brick Colors Mod

I recommended something totally different than Notepad++ or HxD: The LR1 Binary Editor, created for the purpose of modding LR. '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> Have fun.

    Additional Brick Colors Mod

I don't know the specifics of modding the parts, but I wouldn't recommend Notepad++ for binary file editing. A hex editor like HxD would probably work better.
