Quoth Papa Brickolini, "That's-a-right, we make-a-pizza, we make-a-pasta, we make-a-lots-a-money." And do not forget the donuts! Hah, hah... I'll grab my coat and leave now. But before I go, I suppose that, while some prisons serve only stale bread, the Brickster gets the special treatment of pasta and donuts every day. Jailbreak Joe must be jealous!5 points -

All my uploads will eventually be available HERE. Uploaded new version of the mod. I replaced my crap level 26 with a simple copy of level 25. also made it so that all you need to do is beat the first level (takes 5 minutes max) and then you can scroll down and play "Level 26". very easy now so please please give it a look and let me know if you liked. also if anybody has any images they think would be better to use for the custom levels instead of just using an upside down copy of the original levelpick.bmp and adding it below please show me. NEW Download Links: Mediafire Link New LegoRR1.WAD http://rrubucket.s3....goRR1_11176.wad New LegoRR0.WAD http://rrubucket.s3....oRR0_593935.wad Screenshots: (I did not add a pic of inside level 26 since it is no difference from level 25) FAQ for Modders Below: Finally all comments and suggestions welcome so please let me know what you think of my first attempt at contributing. Update Version 2.0: Changed it to use the picture created by Xiron. I also added a Data folder that contains the image inside the correct path for those using data method. Update Log: Yep, and i'm sure you could basically replace it with nearly any image you want, though I'm not sure if it would allow wider ones. Edit - Allows but can not scroll sideways. From what I can tell it really just puts the Level pictures over top of the Levelpick.bmp so likely is possible to place the level anywhere you want even outside of those caverns. Also it occurred to me to mention that since in the lego.cfg it refers to Frontend x and y I also edited the levelpick image inside RR0/interface/frontend to be the same height just in case it was somehow related and or needed for the coordinates to work. Edit: now I kinda wanna just try and see what kind of images I might use for this. And I'm off to find some pictures to use. maybe I might just start with a funny one Edit2: I have started a new project related to this Mod. I will be attempting to collect as many Custom maps as I can into one set! You can learn about it and maybe even pitch in >Here. _______ While looking through the forums I discovered a bit of a related post although it seems to have been dropped. >here Thank you very much! I will add it when I have a chance.3 points -

What's also interesting is that 12 was the estimated age of Pepper in LEGO Island 2 among fans, since it was generally assumed that he was about 7 or 8 in the first game and a teenager (in this case, 13) in Island Xtreme Stunts, and this outright confirms that theory. Even disregarding the whole "zillions of years" thing as a made-up number (looks like Tacku was right about that), Infomaniac is surprisingly young. Only 55? Huh. And I guess that makes him 20 years old when he built the Brickster... but did he build the Brickster as an adult? Because then that would assume that the Brickster was either built far more recently in LEGO Island history than we've been led to believe, or else the Brickster doesn't age... bah, I'm confused by LEGO canon. Again. I'll have to check this out more later when I have time, TIME, TIME TIME![/doctorcyber]3 points -

New version of ROCK RAIDERS - update
coffins reacted to StewartG for a topic
I thought I would share some good news on the remake of Lego Rock Raiders, we were going to call it Block Raiders (due to Lego trademark on the RR name, however the good news is that the trademark has expired and also the extra time they have to renew it, and we have just registered the 'Rock Raiders' trademark ourselves. The name will live on.1 point -

Okay, it is an evolving genre, but it still has its rythmic characteristics. So you can't say that and Electro track is Dubstep just because it has those kind of basses. Is it asking too much to categorize electronic music in just, what, five genres? I usually don't want to argue on anything, but music is my thing, and people that don't pay attention to what they say about it makes me mad. I know it's kinda stupid, but I don't care. Just checking out the new upload from Waterflame. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRLywey-Z1g&list=UUVuv5iaVR55QXIc_BHQLakA1 point -

It's because you made your very own definition of Dubstep. Dubstep is at 140 BPM and its drum beats have a clap or snare inserted every third beat in a bar. 110 BPM has a four-to-floor rythm and obviously it's at around 110 BPM. What defines a genre is the tempo and the drum beats, the sounds used are just a contour. If you want to say that it's electronic music in general, then say it's EDM.1 point -

Hey, you're hurting my feelings. It's not just senseless noise, it's the arrangement of bass sounds with particular timbres. In most cases the most important part of the drop is the basses' timbres, but some composers make very unoriginal sounds and in this case you're right, it's just senseless noise. Anyways, that music you posted isn't dubstep, it's 110 BPM. Check this out, it's a pretty melodic Drumstep (more epic, faster dubstep) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGrkz3w2Ii81 point -

Has this been posted on RRU yet? The file that contains all the text for the Information Center contains ages of all the characters, despite them not being shown in-game: So Pepper is 12, the Brickster is 35, and the Infomaniac is 55, at least in LI2. There is also nobody aged or between 13 and 22. And apparently the whole "zillions of years" thing from LI1 was just ¯\_(ツ)_/¯1 point -

Man, Silicon Dreams really must have thrown any indications of how time passed in the original LEGO Island out the window. The LEGO Island manual says that the group photo was taken half a zillion years ago, and yet Pepper is the same age as he is in the game. It seemed like nobody ever really aged on LEGO Island - they lived the timeless existence that a fictional character in the hands of a child often does. The Brickster never even ate anything - the sign says no pizza, and there isn't any other food on the island. But then LEGO Island 2 suddenly makes references to the normal passage of time, including most notably Pepper's new appearance. And now we have this, a list of all of the character's specific ages. It's not necessarily a worse way of doing things, but it is certainly different and not as suited to my preferences, so I can't help but be a little disappointed. Maybe the developers realized that these ages didn't make a ton of sense in light of everything said in the original LEGO Island, and that's why they omitted them?1 point -

Silly james... a zillion isn't even a real number! All joking aside, LI2 was just a trainwreck of canon to begin with, what with the Island expanding and all. I'll take anything I see from LI2 being canon with a grain of salt.1 point -

Russian release anti-copy protection?
Mr. Eight-Three-One reacted to rast12345 for a topic
I just misspelled it here. Savegames are compatible (thanks god!) so i have a flying high player in english release and not in russian. I'll summarize differences i spotted when i've got free time. Maybe move this topic to another section? It's going to be tech thread, not screenshot related.. Well.. It was common practice for russian publishers from the very beginning of PC gaming market. They translated particular game, usually just subtitles and only sometimes made it quality, then they changed (or added, even if there's no protection on original release) copy protection and released the result. If you want more details (and hear cry from my heart), read the spoiler. I made another image using Alcohol, and it's unplayable too. Same result: game installs, launches and has locked menu. I can play test-drive however ^_^ Alcohol hasn't detected any protection, just same errors while reading. I don't know this forum's policy related to piracy-like things, but if it's allowed and someone wants my image or game files, i can share it (if it's legal here). In Russia, we just don't care most of times, but i try to UPD: LI just plays nice with no-cd method i've found here, thanks to this community Game's buggy as hell and crashes after some time, i think it's common behavior. I play at old laptop with Windows XP and mid-2000 hardware. LRR... well, i tried to launch it on the same laptop and it falied, i have no free time to handle this too. My younger brother is too young to play RTS games, so i'll go back to LRR laterr1 point -

Oh wouldja look at dat, it's my first IRL build. I got my first order of parts for the Snow Shredder today, and while waiting for the rest decided to make something out of them. Yeah. Once I get the rest of the parts I'll update it a bit. It's like a BoB for the snow shredder I might make more with the snow shedder's pieces, idk. Depends on how creative I'm feeling.1 point
