You failed to address the issue of becoming a drone from playing TT games stuff and also failed to address what the crime shall be for playing Galidor and Friends (other than permanent irreversible brain damage). Oh, and I think you should include something in here about banishing those who dare to utter the word, "Legos".

I think the principles that make a LegoRR map fun do not depend too much on the map design itself. It is rather the atmosphere produced by the textures, the interface and all that. A map just has to be irregular so that it really looks like a cave, not like an artificial room. There should also be irregular terrain: when you make up the map in your mind, also form a special terrain (e.g. a mountain in the west, river canyons, lava valleys, ...). If you know how, you can make really interesting level objectives. One thing I found out was - I guess no one has ever done that yet - that you can make walls crumble if something special happened. By that you could create an objective that is actually finished easily but suddenly a row of walls disappear and the level goes on! (If you want to know more about that, PM me ) These are the things I pay attention to when I created all my maps (for examples have a look at my maps in the forum).

I finally made a pack, and its based off one of my favorite themes; Blacktron. I was interested in making this when i looked at RobExplorien's Space Racer pack. I haven't tested it so i guess i could consider this "Work In Progress". Changelog: v0.1 * First Release * Studs on textures are White instead of Black. * Some things are untextured. Hello all. So some of you may have heard that a tutorial series was in the works. Yes, it has been. Although I've been stalling for the last two-three months, I've finally been picking it up again, so after many revisions, I'm deciding to release part one of my series. Let me know what you think! Here is the menu first for easy access to any tutorials though. Now, I've heard of some pretty bad things about the Xbox One, but this takes the cake. Apparently, a five-year-old was able to break into his father's Xbox Live account by filling the password section with spaces. Let me repeat that. This kid spammed the spacebar to play his dad's games. So, this kid discovered the trick, and got away with it until shortly after Christmas (no idea on why it took so long for the news to pick it up). His parents (finally) realized their son was playing games he wasn't supposed to, and the father (who works in computer security) asked him how he did it. Basically, after the console is given a bad password, there's a password verification screen. Spam a bunch of spaces and you're in. Microsoft discovered this backdoor and promptly fixed it, and bestowing on the young lad four new games, $50 (likely in Xbox Live), and a year's Gold membership on Live. The boy is also mentioned on a list of security researchers in March this year. Moral of the story? "Newer" does not always mean "more secure". Has anyone seen this ever? In the second one, the installer has that note at the top right, and it only has 3 minifigures. Also, I never remember a "READ ME" minifigure. In the last one, the water looks different, and so does the island by a little bit. I played Pokémon Stadium, Pokémon Red, Sapphire, LeafGreen, Platinum, Pearl, Soul Silver, Pokémon : Gale of Darkness, stopped at B & W... Yup. Been a Trainer for 12 years.

You can download the Alien Pack now. Screenshots of the Insectoids are added too now. The readme included in the download should explain more about the pack. Install them manually or be smart and use JimbobJeffers's >Character Skinner. I'm still missing one texture (a headpiece from one of the insectoids minifigures (see spoiler)), so le717 is used as a placeholder. Also, thank you to Creator, Fushigisaur and le717 for the photographs of some of the Insectoids pieces.

I believe the former is possible, I'll look into it. But I don't know how to mod that.

Fun Fact: LRR is the only old game (Older than 2k) I've seen that doesn't work flawlessley on windows 8. All the classic Fallouts, Diablo, Starcraft, Daggerfall and Arena (under DOSBOX) they all work absolutely flawlessley.

Okay well I got a laugh out of that one. I think I will take this opportunity to NOT be first, because nothing came to mind in just a snap while writting this. Edit: Something came to mind. We need more waffles, tons more of it.

Got it running now. I can't set my computer to run in 16 bit color, but there was an option in the compatibility settings to emulate it (as Mr. 831 said), and selecting that allowed me to run the game in windowed mode, and now it works. Case closed, end thread.

Run it in windowed mode. Problem solved. Seriously. It's worked on W8 every time.

Windows 8 is really weird with old games, this isn't the only one to have this issue. Other LEGO games of this era run at the wrong frame rate on Windows 8 as well, such as Racers and Stunt Rally. I remember this working for me -- '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> Also, as for the color depth -- Windows 8 is locked into 32-bit color. You can set a program to run in reduced color mode on the compatibility tab, but that doesn't actually make it that depth, it just emulates it (and quite poorly, I might add. If the game required 256 colors, just forget it).
