Both my mic and controller were dying, so excuse the horrible video, but anyway...

So, we've been working pretty hard on breaking and fixing this game in a number of different ways, and I managed to get one of the test levels to load. It replaces the Prologue, but weirdly it can't be loaded from the Hub level (Emmet simply walks out), only from the main menu. Since I'm still figuring out the logistics of this, I'll discuss how I made it work soon.

I got bored, read that^ and yeah... it's bad and the picture's not a good resolution, but... yeah...

Thanks in advance for whatever you are able to do! Here are the first two Canadian issues of LEGO Mania Magazine. Note that the premiere is equivalent to the second US issue, due to the difference the countries had in frequency of magazine distribution until 1995. Premiere - January 1995 Page 1 Page 2 Page 3 Page 4 Page 5 Page 6 Page 7 Page 8 March April 1995 Rejoice, the gallery is public and I don't need to make a list of links! In addition to paragraphs being shortened to make way for French text, the Canadian Mania Magazines were limited to only eight pages, like their predecessor. But they do feature unique member-generated content so that it's coming from Canadian kids and not US ones. This includes LEGO RAP on page 7 of the first issue, along with Maniac Madness. Also, here are the most interesting pages from the catalogs I mentioned in my last post. The 1989 catalog uses both the international and US names for the Pirates sets on the same page, and has a new Space image of Blacktron raiding the Futuron monorail that I hadn't seen before. The 1991 one names the Blacktron homeworld (!) as B-II. 1992 has some curious new descriptions for the four Castle factions of the time. 1993 has some new Space descriptions, though they aren't really anything remarkable.

Leave it to McJobless to tear apart a game he despises and get a test level no one expected to exist. This man deserves a freaking medal.

(RRU needs better Twitter integration) I can't hide it. I still have a soft spot for the games I grew up with, even if I don't necessarily enjoy those types of games anymore. Halo was one from my childhood. Quite a big part, in fact. A very large part was the incredible soundtrack constructed by Martin O'Donnell. This tweet confirms that the King of the Ivory Tower has been removed from his throne. It's a sad, unfitting end to one of the greatest musical legacies in gaming. Reports are saying that Marty finished his work with Destiny, but nothing can confirm the official reason for his termination. Even the official statement seems to be more like mockery of the current situation. Let's hope he can find somewhere new and exciting soon. I'll post more if anything develops. Sadie pointed me toward the audio to text converter she used (thanks!) and I've used it on the Town and Adventurers audio dramas. They're difficult to read, but I think it's possible to get a general understanding of the stories. The Wild West ones are coming too. Ah, this is nice, I always loved messing with a game's files and unlocking the un-unlockable. The video wasn't horrible at all, the audio was a bit confusing but it wasn't that hard to understand what you were saying. Anyways, this is awesome. I WANT MORE.

Huh... Welp there goes yet another good company making the biggest mistake ever that is sure to impact them into the ground. Yes, my favorite video game is Halo. I know loads about the universe, I have all the games, AND all the soundtracks. But let's focus on just Halo 1. This is the game that revolutionized FPS. Bungie made a great game, but as everyone knows, a game is nothing without music. Bungie made Halo. Marty made it FEEL like Halo. Everything from the majestic main theme as you see the super-structure for the first time, to the fast paced action theme in the last level as you race to the longsword before the Autumn explodes, and everything in between. Everything... was perfect. And having to hear the above, especially from one of my favorite composers, it hurts. That's all I can say.

Okay wait what, why are the minifigures in the episode way different than the official sets? And wait why does this exist in the first place? Edit: okay it says they've been animating this for a long time, so I guess that explains the minifigure differences. Sorry I guess I should read.
