Most likely. Right now I'd like to keep it closed, and Sparky and I are doing pretty well just the two of us. I plan to open source it once it's up to the level of the original LRR. As for progress, mostly finished tasking system, raiders can self-task. Implemented "zones" so raiders won't get confused attempting tasks e.g. on the other side of a river, very reliable. Sparky got height mapping mostly implemented. The next thing needed to continue is an interface, it's a pain to write from scratch. I had to stop working on RU around October, but I'm going to pick it back up this summer.

Garage Search = LEGO game I never knew I had

So I was searching boxes in my garage, and I found a box of old PC games. I found all my old kid games like Putt Putt, Pajama Sam, I Spy, Tonka, etc. Then I noticed something. 3 little disks in the bottom of the box. I pulled them out and to my amazement, these were found. On the left: LEGO Soft Ware Demo CD In the middle: Bricks ( I KNEW I HAD THIS SOMEWHERE! ) And on the right: LEGO Alpha Team (Which I didn't even know I had.) So I don't remember what the demo was, if someone else could inform me about it? There you have it. Random Garage search = Awesome!

    >The hype is real. >I was convinced it would never happen, but it did. >The hype is real >How dare you refer to the games out of order? Ruby is always first. >The hype is real. >Speaking of, I guess the new abbreviation is ORAS. >The hype is real. >I'm actually looking forward to these. >The hype is real. >I'll probably get Alpha Sapphire. Blue is my color. >The hype is real. >I wonder if they will incorporate elements of Emerald the way that HGSS included some elements form Crystal? >The hype is real. >I also wonder if you will be able to customize your trainer like in XY? I hope this becomes a standard feature of the series, but on the other hand RSE already has preset characters. >The hype is real. >How much you want to bet the secret bases will make a return with streetpass functionality? >The hype is real. >Excited to see Hoenn in 3D. >The hype is real. >They will probably add new areas. This will be interesting. >The hype is real. >THE HYPE IS REAL.

Garage Search = LEGO game I never knew I had

Sweet! It's always cool to find stuff you didn't know you owned. It's a CD that contains demos of other LEGO games from that time (Friends, Racers, >My Style, etc.), wallpapers, maybe an interactive Flash program advertising other games, and other small stuff like that. From the picture, it looks like you have this demo CD, correct? I have it too (as well as others here), but I do not have that case cover (only the disc).

    Sonic Blaster Crash Fix

Ladies and gentlemen, I've finally been able to rid Rock Raiders of one of the last big problems that's been plaguing it. As most of you know, the Sonic Blaster has a tendency to crash the game when running on newer versions of Windows. After numerous failed attempts to edit the original files to remove the problem, I've gotten it to work by recoding most of it from the ground up, using the dynamite assets as a base. (Don't worry, I've made sure that it's visually and functionally identical to the default Sonic Blaster) Anyway, with this, you should now be able to enjoy the ability to scare away slugs and monsters as originally intended. Maybe now we'll be able to do Back to Basics without toggling the power, eh? Download here.

    Raiders Untitled

So I see now that there is much going on with regards to a potential RR sequel. Despite that, I have my own project I started a few weeks ago that I'd like to show off. It looks terrible for now, but a lot of the foundation is there. First get the Visual Studio 2012 Redist (x86) then you can try it yourself. I wrote it from scrach in C++ using SDL2 and OpenGL 2.1, so while this build is only for Windows, it could easily be ported to other systems in the future. I plan to go into game programming and I learn best by diving in the deep end, so I started this project to learn C++ and have something to show potential employers. QWERTASDFG control the camera, Z and X will destroy two hardcoded walls (to show real-time collapsing and exploration), CVB will spawn objects under the cursor. Everything can be selected, raiders can be ordered to move to a location with a right click. I'm not insterested in hearing the many ways you can crash the program, but if any of the above features don't work for you, let me know. As for the map file, it's an ugly but effective text based format. Designed so I could make maps by hand and expand features without breaking old maps. The parser is extremely stingy and will complain about anything, but it should all be in the console. Use Notepad++ and watch your end of lines if you want to mess around. I'm going to need some help with the non-programming stuff later. I hope to be able to import the original RR resources (if you own the game) at some point, and could use input on other features as I add them. Right now though, if anyone does want to make a simple map editor/creator, I would appreciate it.

Interface, vehicles, monsters, sounds, models, and *shudder* animations x_x. Once bug-checked, that will probably be the 1.0 release. Then on to events/triggers, multiplayer, campaigns, new stuff, whatever. ლ(ಠ_ಠლ) y u change your name anyway?

Just modify the now-nokama's mask, recolor it to have the colors of Gali's mask, and behold, you've got nokama's mask (Even though the movie version is very different, you should just do this one)

    The Great Kanohi Project

That is because I, unfortunately, don't have it. As I've said before, any sets (like six masks belonging to one series of toa) that only have 4 or 5 done means that I don't have the rest. I've been meaning to do that, but just haven't decided on a good way to lay them out. I'd like to see what you come up with. Do tell. I'm not saying you can use them yet, but I would like to hear more. Besides the fact that they don't line up very well, the fused mask is actually very different than the plastic pieces. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=48419 is the movie version of the Kraahkan, and it was the face (vs. the lizard-y alternate face thing that I use as an avatar) that was fused with the Avohkii. I like your enthusiasm though. Hmmmm... So long as it looks alright. O.T. Guurahk204 said "Great minds think alike" Doesn't really have to do with this, but that's sort of a dumb saying. Great minds are great because they think up what hasn't been thought of before.

tmo7452! It's good to hear from you, it's been some time. I'm pumped to get back to work on RU. He means LRR's level of functionality. We're really not too far off, believe it or not.

Although I have no commented on RU before, I was following the discussion, and I must say, this is great news! Keep up the good work! Can you define "the level of the original LRR"? There are a few cave depths levels you could dig reach for in LRR.

Quite alright. Always glad to contribute. I think I need to make a Bionicle bug with a Avohkii carapace now. I think I made the darks too dark. Do you think that is it? I think I got the shape of it right, but I never can see the faults with my own work right after working on it.

My Gaming History - Part 1 - The Prophetic PS1

I was an N64 kid myself. The equivalent of this game was Excitebike 64. Not my FIRST game ever (That title goes to the original Super Smash Bros.), but I discovered Level Creator in a similar way. Had the N64 for a year, and then I got a PS2. The majority of my early gaming memories came out of that system because I was a kid and never had respect for better games, just the absolute newest (I was the target audience, after all). I would return to the N64 a couple years later to finally play classics like Mario 64, Donkey Kong 64 and GoldenEye (as well as returning to Smash Bros. to TRY and unlock Ness. Never actually did, sadly). Years passed, and my N64 got sold off by my parents. I still had the PS2 though, and continued to carve memories of gaming (LIXS, SSX Tricky, Kingdom Hearts, Crash Twinsanity, and even the Tony Hawk series have strong memories). Sadly for me, PC gaming never happened until about four years ago. But still, gaming holds lots of memories for me.

    The LEGO Movie Sequel

This can only lead to bad things. They hired Jared Stern and Michelle Morgan to write the sequel. What have they done? Jared has written ADDITIONAL content for Wreck-It Ralph, and he wrote the monstrosity that is Mr. Popper's Penguins 2011 and The Watch. And Michelle Morgan has done two movies no one's ever heard of. And both were meh. EVERYTHING IS AWFUL EVERYTHING IS CRAAAP WHEN YOU MAKE A HALFASSED SEQUEL Unikitty better be just as good tho. Best character. Benny is runner up best character.
