[7:56:59 AM] McJobless: Is it just me or does nobody except for Pepper care about the Brickster bots? [7:57:18 AM] McJobless: I didn't even know they were bad until one of the dickhead bots decked me. [7:57:30 AM] jamesster: they're... weird things [7:57:34 AM] McJobless: Which meant I had to give suitable, tasty pizza retribution. [7:57:40 AM] jamesster: they're like little kids [7:57:44 AM] jamesster: ... certain little kids [7:57:48 AM] McJobless: ... [7:57:50 AM] McJobless: wot [7:58:11 AM] jamesster: they're all helpful and stuff, sweeping floors and whatnot when asked [7:58:18 AM] jamesster: but when you're not looking [7:58:24 AM] jamesster: they'll blow your hat into a tree [7:58:26 AM] jamesster: or steal a wheel [7:58:34 AM] jamesster: and then go play angry birds [7:58:44 AM] McJobless: [7:58:44 AM] jamesster: I haven't thrown any pizza yet [7:58:55 AM] McJobless: It's remarkably useless. [7:58:57 AM] jamesster: they probably have though [7:59:17 AM] McJobless: The aiming is terrible and I can't melt jail bars. [7:59:29 AM] McJobless: Those kids... [7:59:32 AM] McJobless: Wot. [7:59:39 AM] McJobless: Do they just not have parents? [7:59:44 AM] McJobless: Bless their hearts. [7:59:47 AM] jamesster: they do [7:59:52 AM] McJobless: [8:00:02 AM] jamesster: also pizzas lock to whatever is in front of you that they can hit [8:00:12 AM] jamesster: otherwise they go whooooosh in a random direction that's generally forward [8:02:13 AM] jamesster: mailboxes and newspaper despensers go WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH [8:02:37 AM] McJobless: Your eyeballs will be on the other side of the world faster than you can say "western power grid". [8:02:37 AM] jamesster: mushrooms go PFFFPGPHGHFGKJ [8:03:03 AM] McJobless: I totally did not mix up three jokes/threats. [8:06:06 AM] jamesster: I need to talk more IRL to avoid this urge to yell "AND YOU CAN KNOCK ROBOTS OUT OF THIN AIR WITH PIZZAAAAAAAAAAAAS" in this room [8:07:51 AM] jamesster: or I could yell that IRL [8:08:00 AM] jamesster: but the people here would probably be confused and offer me some rice2 points -

Alright, so here are a few of the lines put into the game. Enjoy! (Scripts are not 100% finalized, they still need work to make actions in sync.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3jMF8PyMh202 points -
A game I'm working on: A 3D, multiplayer roguelike (Released on Steam June 23rd, 2015)
Quisoves Potoo and one other reacted to Addictgamer for a topic
Done ---------- Hey all, check out NEW DEMO! There's not really any new feature. Mostly we fixed a bunch of bugs, added a bunch of performance boosts, and some minor tweaks (like last IP you joined is saved, ability to toggle gibs off in settings, etc). It doesn't help that finals fell during these last two weeks I want to do a few more public demos/alphas. With all those bug fixes and optimizations are out of the way, we're going back to adding new content. Also, if any of you use twitter, facebook, etc, consider checkout out the game's facebook and twitter pages, giving some likes, tweets, retweets, favorites, such stuff, and spreading the word in general Edit: Forgot to mention, Barony has a forum now!2 points -

That's right peeps, a mod for LR2 that makes NPCs talk without the need of subtitles to understand! A test I did just to see how it would work out can be found here. People working on this mod: (ordered by when members joined project) Xiron JimbobJeffers le717 Rioforce (le's bro) Quisoves Pugnat (QP) McJobless Ben24x7 ShadowBlaze Oboe Shoes (OS) Ayliffe kajeuter Nintaga (Xiron's Sister)* Captain Kiwi (Nintaga's Friend)* Chonsy* Asterix means the person is from outside RRU. Anyone can join, so long as the following guidelines are followed. Guidelines: Recording should be in 44100 Hertz or higher (remember, just because you can record in that hertz, doesn't mean the sound quality is equivalent to it). Recording should be no less than 192 Kbps Preferred file format: .wav; Secondary preferred is .mp3. You can voice as many characters as you like. You have two weeks to voice the character after you pick it. If you need an extenion let me know with reason why. I'm not going to stop you from picking a character someone else already claimed, in the case two or more people want to do the same character, they will have to compete by uploading a voice clip of the character, with a line said from the game (I'll pick if multiple), and the community can choose who's voice they like better for the character. Please think responsibly and know if you would have a proper voice for the character before going: OHMAGAWSH I WANT TO VOICE DAT CHARACTER!!! List of Characters + Actors (yes, I pulled this from >my post in the Racers wiki topic. ) Questions and Answers: Q. What is XXX? And how do I deal with XXX when voicing the line? A. Be creative. XXX is where the player name use to be. Do your best to make sound great, and ask here for suggestions if you need any. Q. How will you deal with player references? A. We will use gender-neutral surnames instead of the name you choose for your character. Example, Sparky may call the player (XXX) buddy, and challengers may call the player newbie, and other higher rank as the game progresses, just to name a few. There are a lot more things that can be said than just these. Please avoid using "player", if you can. Q. Do I need to own the game to help? A. Nope! I can provide the lines you need to say. Just use the images linked with the character so you know what the character you are acting for looks like. Q. Can we expand or improve the lines if they are too shallow? A. In short, yes. You will have to use part of the original line though, and the majority will need to approve of the change. Note: You also have to keep within the game's targeted audience, so don't use any words you wouldn't hear them put in the game. Q. When will this be released? A. When we are done. There might be alpha & beta releases as the mod progresses on though. Q. Can you keep me updated of progress? A. Sorta. We have a completion list doc right here! https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PZpHzQHTX33U31ePO4I18n-P5jxid7J-ZCTS_MshzX4/1 point -
Cafeteria 1.0 BETA 7 - Launcher & Mod Loader for LRR
Haozu reacted to Cyrem for a topic
Cafeteria! 1.0 BETA 7 Cafeteria is a Game Launcher and Mod Loader for LEGO Rock Raiders. It allows you to play LEGO Rock Raiders mods without manual installation and also allows you to configure the various parameters of LEGO Rock Raiders/LEGO Rock Raiders Community Edition. Installation - First, download the latest version of Cafeteria at the bottom of this post. - Extract Cafeteria and all its files into the installation directory of LEGO Rock Raiders. This is usually: C:\Program Files (x86)\LEGO Media\Games\Rock Raiders - Your installation is finished. Whenever you want to play, start Cafeteria and launch the game through it instead. Requirements Most new computers already have these installed, however if you are missing one, you may get errors in the program. - .NET Framework 4.5 (Download) Installing Mods Mods come in files with the extension *.wadp. You can find mods in topics on this forum. To install a mod, simply place the WADP file inside the "Mods" directory or use the "Add Patch" button. You can confirm a mod has been installed and is valid by visiting the "Mod Manager" tab in Cafeteria where it will display. Ordering Mods Using the arrows on the interface you can move mods up and down. Mods at the end of the list are considered "low priority" and mods up the top are considered "high priority". Mods are installed in order from Low to High Priority. As some mods overlap others or must be applied after other mods, you can order them in the correct installation order. FAQ I heard this allows playing LRR in high resolutions? You did hear correctly. Old versions of Cafeteria did allow this, however this has since changed. Playing LRR in high resolution has now been moved to the Rock Raiders Community Edition project where it will be built into the game. How do I make my own Patches? Please see this topic: Patch Documentation for Cafeteria Changelog 1.0 BETA 7 Added "Addons" to Online Mod library for installing things like D3DRM. Fixed case sensitivity on CFG:Open Added Context Menu Items "Remove Patch" and "Open in File Explorer" Added "Create New Patch" under Tools. This will create a new patch with file structure under "Mods" and added it to the Mod list. 1.0 BETA 6 CFG:AddBlock will not duplicate an existing block. CFG:AddProperty will not duplicate an existing property, instead it will update an existing property. 1.0 BETA 5 Fixed encoding issues with languages other than English. 1.0 BETA 4 Renamed JMP command to CMP command Added new JMP command to simply jump to labels without compare. Added online library for mods (not much yet still adding) Mod description tooltips. Added patch log to see the last log of patch applications. Added "FileAdd" "FileRemove" "DirectoryMerge" to replace "WAD:..." equivalents. These have enhanced debugging messages. Old commands have not been removed. 1.0 BETA 3 Added variables & related commands: VAR / VAR:FromCFG / VAR:Increment / VAR:Decrement Added the ability to Jump in a script with JMP <variable> <opcode> <value> <jumplabel> Added format specified to variable output {var|D2} = 01, {var|F2} = 1.00 Added the ability to work with ANY config file, CFG, AE, PTL, OL etc. Just CFG:Open <path> and CFG:Save when done. 1.0 BETA 2 Removed case sensitivity from AddFilesFromDirectory. Added Patch Extract and ReBuild into right-click menu. Automatically saves and reloads mods before rebuilding. Misc changes. 1.0 BETA 1 Too many changes to list since 0.9.3 Download 1.0 BETA1 point -

McJobless reacted to ProfessorBrickkeeper for a topic
If you know to mod any kind of thing, just let me know how do this and I add a function to do this easier! It is actually quite easy to do. All you need to do is rename the "cut" folder to something else after you have extracted .dat files. I would suggest you follow up with McJobless who was able to figure out how to manually load levels but which had a long process and which could benefit from automation.1 point -

[6:33:12 AM] Ciprian: Why don't I have 100,000 followers tirelessly scribing all of my quotes? [6:33:35 AM] Ciprian: I'm the embodiment of the pit of despair wrapped in a cosmic burrito. [8:11:55 AM] jamesster: can you imagine being a playtester for The LEGO Movie Videogame [8:13:58 AM] McJobless: I imagine it would start with me having a very cold shower, followed by walking into an office filled with man-children who spend more time playing with LEGO than making a game, passing by the office of the Creative Director who is doing some crazy ritual sacrifice in the name of Stewart Green, and then arriving in the test office where several bus loads of children are dumped and then subseqently sent to hospital after trying to get through the submarine level for the fourty-fifth time in a row. [8:15:04 AM | Edited 8:15:22 AM] Alcom Isst: I love McJobles's hypothetical stories. [8:15:39 AM] McJobless: By lunch you're starved but then you realised all you've got to eat are the frozen tears from the art department, so you instead throw them at the programmers who fling s*** back at you, since the actual programmers were laid off and then replaced with code-copying monkeys. You then run back to the test office to try the big new Super Chase level when you discover... [8:15:42 AM] McJobless: THE HORROR [8:15:45 AM] McJobless: SCRIPTED SEQUENCES [8:15:47 AM] McJobless: NO DRIVING [8:16:06 AM] McJobless: FORCED JOKES [8:16:24 AM] McJobless: You immediately clock out and then continue to cry yourself to sleep gently in a corner. [8:16:34 AM | Edited 8:16:42 AM] McJobless: I imagine that's the general cycle for all TT Games test managers.1 point -
