I hope you mean "unless". "Until" seems incredibly self-entitled and arrogant. So far you've asked incessantly about seemingly unused textures in a game that is still in development, and you seem stuck in the notion that you're going to be part of the dev team. Meanwhile in reality, that ain't gonna happen. Spend some time (a lot) improving your craft, and maybe you'll stand a chance. If you want to show what you're capable of, try doing that, instead of taking the lazy route of retouching art from another game. I don't know how much you know about the game development process, but stealing assets straight from the work of others is just not done.4 points -

There is a single slider in Photoshop that does what you did with those textures. Moving a slider is not skill. Creating something from scratch or altering something significantly is the beginning of skill. Creating your own content for a project that both fits the aesthetic of the project and pleases the developers is another step. Producing something that someone would actually use to demonstrate the extend of your skill is yet another step. You don't get to require membership on a project with money involved just to later demonstrate that you cannot produce what the project leaders are looking for. So far, you have yet to begin walking.4 points -
MOC: Minifig-scale VW campervan.
STUDZ and 2 others reacted to Ayliffe for a topic
MOC: MINIFIG-SCALE VW CAMEPERVAN. Topic includes Incredibly silly backstory. Caution: May contain nutters. After being sold by an american billionare, this VW Campervan found it's way to a small auction house in a small town called Mayhead City, where it was "accidentally" bought by Dave (the guy on the right) for the grand sum of £20,000. Dave, being Dave, said he didn't have this kind of money just lying around the house, and ended up having to sell his own home to pay for the campervan and avoid being taken to court by the auction house. With no place to live, Dave decided after trying to sleep in the campervan to phone his only friend Jay (the guy on the right), a calm and cautious brickfilmer, and ask beg him to stay at his house for 'a bit'. After 16 whole minutes, Jay reluctantly let Dave stay there with him as long as he replaced the VW logo on the front of the campervan with the Imperial Crest from Star Warsand stopped playing the guitar badly (Dave always thought that he was the plastic incarnation of Jimi Hendrix, but he was in fact the opposite). Two weeks after Dave moved in, this happened in the middle of Mayhead City: After this incident, Dave's guitar 'mysteriously' disappeared from their house, and no-one (except the bin-men) know about it's true whereabouts. Some more pictures of the actual model (Finally!): Without minifigs: Side View: Front View: Back View: Thanks For looking!3 points -

I like it. I showed it to my dad, he likes it too. He thought the minifigures didn't look like hippies enough though. My dad may or may not have been a hippie. Sorta. It really depends on what you define as a hippie. I dunno if he had a VW van. He has a story about a squirrel causing his roof to crash in on him though. Nice MOC.3 points -

Review: #76021 The Milano Spaceship Rescue
STUDZ reacted to Minifig9292 for a topic
76021 The Milano Spaceship Rescue Review by Kat Click the picture to make it larger (durr) Review DAAAAAAAAYUM this is a nice set. To get it out of the way: The little black ship is super lame and really dumb. The design is boring and I just plain don't like it. Now onto the meat of this: The Milano. The Milano just looks awesome first of all. The front has a very awesome owl-like shape to it and the whole thing is really cleverly put together. The interior is just freakin' great man. It has nice little details like Star-Lord's cassette tape player and a fire extinguisher. The pilot's chair is probably my favorite bit in there, I enjoy the look of that thing so much. It also has three extra chairs to seat the other Guardians (except Groot), or whoever you want. The only thing that would make this ship even better is if it didn't have all these stickers. The minifigs are, as always, completely awesome. Star-Lord comes with his two element-guns and a hair piece (not shown). This Star-Lord is not the same as the one in the Starblaster Showdown set. This one has the Guardians uniform instead of his jacket. Star-Lord's emblem is on the left breast of the uniform, which is a very nice touch. Nice detailing and a very nice minifig. Gamora comes with a dull silver sword. She has a double faced head, one side is a smiling expression, while the other is angry. I was very surprised to see that Gamora's hair piece actually had some small purple highlights in it. Drax comes with two grey knives. I really enjoy Drax's minfig. Go find a more detailed picture than mine. In his tattoos he has actual smiling classic lego skulls in them, which is a really cute detail that adds a bunch to the minifig. Ronan the Accuser comes with his trademark hammer and a cape. The detailing on Ronan is pretty darn good. I really like how his cowl fits with his cape. It's a nice effect. Overall THIS SET IS FANTASTIC. It is totally worth the 75 bucks. While I feel it should have included Rocket Raccoon or maybe an extra generic badguy minifig, it is still a quality set. The Milano is a great looking ship, and this set does it justice. Rating Design: 10 / 10 Quality: 10 / 10 Fun: 9 / 10 Price: 9 / 10 To finish off these GotG reviews, have the whole cast of minifigs:1 point -
Review: #76020 Knowhere Escape Mission
STUDZ reacted to Minifig9292 for a topic
76020 Knowhere Escape Mission Review by Kat Click the picture to make it larger (duh) Review This is probably the set I was excited for the most because of Rocket Raccoon and Groot. The structure/playset this set has is great fun. It has three action features. If you press down on the bit satellite-dish looking thing, the tower falls over. You can fling yellow translucent 1x1s at whatever minifig you decide to put on the top AND you can pull a lever and drop said minifig into the bottom. The blue vehicle thing is pretty nifty. It's got grabbing claws for grabbing various things that need to be grabbed. The back has a storage area where you put around 4 or 5 translucent yellow 1x1 round bits and can dump them out on whoever may be below. There is also a big blaster turret with a spring launcher to fire one of the two projectiles the set comes with. The minifigures are fantastic! Groot is super fun to build and he just plain looks cool. Minifigures can ride on his arms due to a stud on there. His legs and upper arms have those new joints commonly found in Mixels, so if youw ant to be some kind of heartless monster and take apart Groot for whatever you wanna do those, go right on a ahead there. Rocket Raccoon looks awesome. He comes with a bigass blaster gun that you have to build (duh). The head piece is very VERY nice, and he has a new tail part that is exclusive to this set at the time of this review. The paint detail on his torso is pretty good and overall I am totally psyched to have a little Lego Rocket. Nebula is really cool. She comes with two black swords. Nice detailing on the torso and the face looks quite good. Overall I really enjoy this set. 40 bucks is a bit steep, but if you want something substantial with a good playset area, this is a great choice. It also has Groot and Rocket, can't go wrong there. It does look nice. The darker parts look a bit randomly coloured, but I think that's just me. The only question is: does this texture tile? Thats actually because random scribbles can sometimes make something turn out good, and anything you shove inside the Tiles folder (with a changed Tiles text document) can tile. What he meant was "does this texture look good when tiled", which it doesn't. Also, openly admitting to doing "random scribbles".....1 point -

Assorted Drome Racers Goodness

I was looking around tonight when I found something of interest. One of the environment artists for Drome Racers, Matthew Stephen, has posted some images from his work on the game to the 'net, including some renders of Monument Park, a piece of concept art, and what appear to be GUI mock-ups. Monument Park renders and GUI mock-ups: http://www.coroflot.com/matthewstephen/Lego-Drome-Racers Concept art resembling the main garage (scroll down a little bit): http://www.coroflot.com/matthewstephen/Miscellaneous He also has some of the Monument Park stuff on his website: http://www.gravityartservices.com/ Interesting to see he's worked on Motorstorm games - I've never played any, but I do like the looks of them.1 point -

Improving MLN
shea42 reacted to aidenpons for a topic
I remember jedi299 saying this... MLN, yes, did fail. But why? I'm just wondering, that if LEGO decides to semi-remake it, what it might do. Here are my suggestions: (I'm only Rank 5, and if you have any Gypsium or Pipes to spare (THOUGH NOT LOOSE SPARKS OR NAILS, PLEASE NO, I HAVE OVER 1000 NAILS AND 150 LOOSE SPARKS), then here I am. 1) Not so many random items (I mean randomly delivered). Remember trying to get Rough Rubies, Sapphires and Diamonds? MAD PAIN POINTS. They are a good idea, BUT the chance should be higher of one being sent out. Not one every 10 clicks (by my estimates), but one every 2, or 1 click(s). Also, Arcade Modules could also give out these items. 2) Messaging. There were only preset messages, which were USELESS. Perhaps, once you'd friended somebody, you could click the checkbox saying 'Allow handwritten messages.' Of course, there'd be preventive measures in place, but maybe not moderation. But blocking them should be a one-click stop, and reporting should also be possible. 3) Items. What is a millstone used for above rank 3? Nothing. There should be more uses for them. Or there should be a way to break them down again. 4) Modules. I have SO MANY MODULES, stemming from previous years with lots of bricks. There should be a way to degrade them back into bricks. I have, whatsit, about 15 Stunt Track Rank 1 modules because I wuz bored. And now I can't find the modules I want as the list is FLOODED. 5) Trade modules. These were a GREAT idea, BUT you could only send mailable things. Why were there mailable things in the first place? Okay, some of them might relate to secret Networkers (which never were secret anyway ), like the POS seal, but if you want to give that away then... so what? 6) Badges. All you get are bragging rights. Perhaps each badge could give you a 10%+ module produce? (Or the time it takes for you to get x red bricks from the Apple Tree is decreased). And as well as that, there could possibly be special modules? Note: I have NO IDEA how I got the Club Magazine badge. I am a member, but I don't know HOW THE HECK I GOT IT. I think I just asked Max and was rejected but still got it anyway... 7) Arcade games. They're pretty good, but the Delivery game should have something to prevent you from seeing over the edge of the map (it makes the map look horrible, with no scenery). Destuctoid should be a little more complicated. And the HOP game is evil when someone has put plus speed bonuses for everywhere EXCEPT the last two columns, and has put a top obstacle and then a bottom one (Note: If speed bonuses aren't on the bottom then you can slide the whole way and finish). 8) Modules that reward Blueprints. I have NO IDEA how I got the Jeweled Triceratops blueprint. 500 clicks? WHAT IS THIS I haven't done the Totemic Animals stuff yet, but I can see that millions of MAD PAIN POINTS are going to be headed my way. Meh, these are my thoughts. Lego's never going to remake MLN anyway, and this is primarily just a thought experiment to see what everyone who played it disliked.1 point -
Improving MLN
shea42 reacted to aidenpons for a topic
so true... Going through the trading list and Rank 5 is PAIN. If someone wants to give away their POS seal or a Home Foundation, then so what? It's just them being nice. But I see what you mean... like a Drone Be was so hard to get at Rank 2 but now I can get lots of them (thanks to higher modules that give me 50+ red bricks per day). However, making a mailable list for so few items... actually, that would work. Yes, I see what you mean there... now that I'm thinking about the target audience and how I aren't it, it was a silly idea. Complex? If they accidentally delete the Seal of the POS, they get all the bricks back anyway. There could be a little trash can in the corner that you drag and drop items to and they get churned into bricks. (Some might not be able to be, like Totemic Feed but you know what I mean. I'm talking about things like my horde of Stunt Rally Rank 1 cars.... ) And while we're on the subject of organisation, I hated not being able to move items from different sheets of my inventory to a different sheet. That doesn't mean it's active. And don't remind me about that Drome Racers game, oh pleeaaase no... O.T. Jimbob, if you ever read this, can you put out a Pet Golem module? Also, since you're one of my two friends, I calculate that every 20 clicks you should get a pipe. DO SO NOW.1 point
