Alternately known as Pain, this is an evil map. Size: Maximum Recommended Car: Whatever you like, it isn't going to help you. Difficulty Level: Barely possible. So without further ado, I present to you: Chaos Enjoy do not enjoy. Challenge: Beat the other three racers in this map using the dragster. NO STUPID AUTOCORRECT 'DRAGSTER' IS NOT 'STEERAGE.' Installations Notes: EDIT: Wait, make sure you use /FREEFORM. Or else... it's not as fun as it is normally.2 points

Canteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen
Cyrem and one other reacted to Fush for a topic
Since no one else had done it yet (as far as I know, correct me if I'm wrong) I decided I'd give it a shot- I tried to build the unused Canteen building. Yeah.... I'm not 100% confident in it, but it's something. And it was certainly a challenge, considering all I had to work from was this: so... yeah.2 points -
Rock Raiders.bat (A Misleading Title)
The Ace Railgun and one other reacted to aidenpons for a topic
This is my simulation of Rock Raiders in a .bat file. Simply copy the stuff in the spoiler below into Notepad and then save it as a .bat, with any name you choose. Then run it! Note: This won't work if you have a computer with an IP address of 192.0.2.0. But last time I checked, unless you meddle with your router, the address shouldn't have a computer assigned to it. Enjoy a fruitless waste of time.2 points -

Look the screens that he posted ! See on Software Titles and Design ! More photos also here (not really ingame but whatever, you have to scroll down a bit : https://www.flickr.com/photos/93539319@N03/ ) Edit : http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=468828 I found them bigger .. Core Blimey! a new custom map!
ProNoob13 reacted to RockRaiderWolf for a blog entry
Created a new custom map based on an idea left in my Improved Custom Map Slots thread about having raiders starting levels on both sides of the planet. in this level they meet in the middle at Planet U's Energy Core! Object of the map is to collect 100 energy crystals without being slaughtered by lava monsters or running out of oxygen. Note: Map is currently untested. I will test it and upload pictures within the next couple of days. EDIT: Just spent the last hour trying to figure out why the level isn't working correctly on the level select screen and still can't figure it out. If it works for anyone else lemme know so i know it is def something wrong with my config and not the level. The problem is it shows up in top left corner of level select screen and with the wrong image. clicking on it crashes game... Edit: turns out i just added it to config incorrectly. Canteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen

Oh how silly of me, I keep forgetting that Rock Raiders buildings never have exposed studs on them! In seriousness, though, I did not design this, so if you you don't like the design itself, then i can't really do anything about that. All I did was try to get as close to the icon as possible. That said, i must reiterate that I AM NOT ENTIRELY CONFIDENT IN THE ACCURACY OF THIS. It's as close as I was able to get, but I'm still looking at it trying to see if I can do it better. FUN FACT: I edited this post about a gazillion times trying to make it sound as polite as possible! I overthought it too much and it sounded rude! I swear I didn't mean it like that, honest! :01 point -
Let's Talk Games
Seaborgium reacted to Alcom Isst for a topic
I've discovered recently in academia that I have an odd habit of splitting terms into sub-terms, usually into a pair. Analyzing this question, I noticed that I've done the same thing to my definition of "Game". With what I've compiled from the various videos I've watched and discussions I've had on RRU, what a game is to me can be split into two concepts: Games-as-play, and Games-as-narrative. Games-as-play are completely recreational activities with an artificial failure state that the player must overcome to get their satisfaction from the game. A good* game-as-play presents each problem in a way the player can understand it, and provides the right level of challenge and freedom so that the player feels challenged and not frustrated. Games-as-narrative are stories with interactive elements. They will not progress the story if the player fails, or give the player freedom to choose the story's outcome or events. A good* game-as-narrative will leave the player satisfied with the story, the fantasy or world the game establishes, the role they got to play, and/or what they learned from the story. Most games are a hybrid of these concepts, though there are pure forms of either. *Quality is subjective and satisfaction will vary between players.1 point -
The LEGO Movie Franchise
Quisoves Potoo reacted to Seaborgium for a topic
I somewhat disagree with you there. It provided a bizarre and enjoyable twist on the that no movie has. It was actually clever and inspired, something Clutch Powers was not. Clutch Powers was by no means bad for a CGI cartoon aimed at 5-10 year olds. Oddly, I think if it had been bad, people would remember it better. It was good enough to be nonoffensive, but little else.1 point -
The LEGO Movie Videogame

While this is almost asking for you to write the converse of your review, what changes would you, McJobless, propose to fix the LEGO Movie Video Game, and would these changes keep the game within its budget?1 point -

JimbobJeffers' Campaign Mod
aidenpons reacted to le717 for a topic
All 1 hour and 15 minutes of my walkthrough have finally been uploaded. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rl1U1hC8Q1Y I can now delete 50+ GB of raw footage plus ~700MB from the last three compressed videos from my hard drive. Thank you, JimbobJeffers, for creating such a challenging mod. I hope you can take these videos and improve your mod for a possible future release.1 point
