    The LEGO Battles Merge

Previously had this on a blog, from July of last year. Anyway, a bit of background - in 2009, LEGO advertised three games on set boxes that were never heard of again: While "LEGO Racers: The Video Game" is still a mystery (UPDATE: it's not any longer, see this topic), the other two aren't, thanks to this email I got:

    Don't Panic!

Friends, Modders, Countrymen! I present to you: https://ore.rockraidersunited.org/legacy/Dont%20Panic_705839.trk EDIT4: If you copy the above link & paste it into a new tab you'll get the file. This is marginally easier than Chaos. Though if you have the Infinite Improbability Drive and a good cup of hot tea (can't forget that), oh, and a towel, it's very easy. Another Challenge: Beat Arthur Dent Mr. X, Glacia, and Baron Flambo on this track using planets made out of banana fruitcake How To Install: Just use The Guide and it'll tell you. Spoiler Download the file (really? ), and shove it into... wherever you like, really. Though I should say that it should go in Stunt RallySavedTracks (Stunt Rally being where you installed it). And then rename it to whatever you like, because it probably won't like the numbers and the underscore. And as is previously, use /FREEFORM or else it's boring... O.T. le717, what happened to your video of Chaos? EDIT: Link throwing hissy fits. Lemme see... EDIT2: Just copy and paste the thingy that looks like a link into a new tab. EDIT3: Ayliffe never saw the old version, right?

Stunt Rally Beta Disk And Screenshots!

I already posted a topic for this on BZP, so I'll just copy and paste it to here to save time... Found some beta screenshots of LEGO Stunt Rally on the internet today. The ones you see here are not all of them, there are many more. However, they contain a website address that isn't exactly appropriate so I have to edit it out by hand (Explaining the black box in the upper left corner). I will do the rest later. But here are 3 to start with: Notice the different icon on Radium's truck in that last one... Now, the topic title also said beta DISK. After a Google search, it seems that some museum in New York has one on display... http://www.museumofplay.org/collections/on...amp;o=109.16767 Not sure if the screenshots are from the same build as the one on the disk. But even so, they are both very interesting. Now, I wonder if it is possible to somehow purchase this disk from the museum, or get access to it long enough to get gameplay? (This is starting to sound like the Legend of Mata Nui Videos topic in the Bionicle Software forum, and I haven't even hit the "Post New Topic" button yet... ) So yeah, discuss this here. I'll get more edited screens up soon (Hopefully tomorrow or the next day). Also, if anybody has ideas on how to somehow gain access to this disk, post them here.

    LEGO Fusion Announced

My wifi isn't playing nice right now, so I can't upload any of the pictures here, which there are quite a few of. Just look at these links. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=96885 http://www.engadget.com/2014/06/19/lego-fusion/ http://lego.gizmodo.com/new-lego-fusion-sets-let-you-play-even-when-you-dont-ha-1593080024 http://mashable.com/2014/06/19/lego-fusion-hands-on/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mN-VzQ9yRi0 Sources: All of the above

    "Unleashed"

This could work really well as an OST/background track for a game, and I'm quite fond of the composition. It's just a bit "unbalanced", as Shadowblaze mentioned.

    "Unleashed"

I've been under a bad spell of Composer's Block lately, so just getting this track out took several weeks, which is part of the reason some elements are shifted and off. (And I suddenly got a ringing in my left ear just then typing the last sentence. Perhaps a sign?) But I think I'm out of it now and can begin composing more frequently with better quality (I hope). I've already got a new track finished ready to upload next week, so hopefully that will suffice. Anyway, thanks!

    LEGO Fusion Announced

I honestly have no idea what you're saying here. What...? I recall an interview with some TT devs around the time of the release of the Marvel game where they said they designed LSW with kids in mind, were surprised when they founds adults were getting into it as well, and are now going for a sort of "all ages" thing, with a lot of jokes that fly straight over kids's heads (LEGO City Undercover especially). That's a key quality LEGO has as a whole - its primary audience is kids, but it appeals to a much broader audience, as a thing, hence why we now have this community of teenagers and adults playing and modding Racers, Loco, etc. I'm not quite sure why you seem to think these Fusion games are only enjoyable by the target audience (if you don't and I've misunderstood, please correct me). I find that hard to believe after being a member of this community for so long, and heck, even witnessing several Heroica competitions at LEGO conventions. They're not built on the same scale as the PC/console games; they're tablet games, but considering how often I hear people gushing with nostalgia for early-mid 2000s LEGO web games built in Flash and Shockwave (and how much I enjoy those web games myself - WorldBuilder, Junkbot, Crystalien Conflict, etc), I'm not sure that it's an issue. Is that how the racing game works? I have yet to see any details on even the racing bits, let alone car building. I'm remaining largely indifferent on that one (and the tower combat thing) until more info comes along. For now, I'm just happy LEGO is considering sandbox-y build-y stuff again, along the lines of LEGO Loco.

    LEGO Fusion Announced

I'll take a simple tablet version of a LEGO Sim City over any other mobile games they've done. They're actually doing a game genre they haven't come close to touching on for well over a decade, one that actually involves sandbox play and creativity at that, and that's pretty awesome. Building a town, customizing the buildings, keeping the citizens happy, then putting it online and visiting other player's towns... Groundbreaking? No. Fun? Yes.

Okay, I'll do some criticism about this, like a friend of mine does with my musics. Expect no mercy. Generally, the track is badly equalized and the levels are also badly regulated. The instruments that have this problems are the drums and the guitar in the background. For the rest, this is actually a very good music, I like the melodies and how it goes on. Good job on that.

Dee's uploads were discussed somewhere else on RRU - not sure where exactly. Probably in the Loco section or something. And yeah, that's my Brickshelf gallery there. pfFTffFFTf
