I would just like to state that I've made great progress on checkpoints. We are finally able to make 100% custom checkpoints.

Are you aware of the existance of MCedit? That program can do all the stuff you need, it can rotate objects on which axis you want and can copy blocks without taking air in consideration.

Ah, I was wondering when this thread would come into being. Well, a few of us have been able to analyse the main photo that's circulating around via Skype. I found out on my own accord, but I'm pretty sceptical about all of this. Colorless, very blurred... I'm really on the fence on whether or not this is legit. I've done a little poking round on search engines for more pics, and some turned out to have been removed by request from TLG, so I really don't know what to sa-- Wait, I should watch the video first. Wasn't embedded properly. *watching* Oh. Oho. Yes, THIS is a good leak right here. Either someone did a REALLY good job of creating total bulls***, or we've actually got something on our hands here. LEGO's removal of some images raises my hopes even more. Needless to say, I'm STILL remaining cautious until we get some more images, or at least something OFFICIAL from TLG. I'm almost there for being on board the hype train, but if I board early, and realize that this was all a hoax... I'll cut the son of a b**** who created it all.

Well, that's one definition of "mobile palm trees". Guess I got what I was asking for.

An amusing quirk I noticed today while screwing around on the Dig-A-Brick track. Damaged AI cars often collide with and get stuck behind trees while driving to the pit stop, and when the game resets them, they end up on top of said trees, often getting stuck there indefinitely (or at least until another car teleports up there too and knocks them down, or you hit them with a weapon).

This video gives me an idea for a track once we're able to make custom tracks. Nothing but palm trees for as far as the eye can see. The AI opponents get stuck early on, warp to the top of the forest, then they never come back down.
