I've been in Skegness for a week. I bought these in a charity shop on the last day there for £7.99. There's quite a lot of pieces missing, but the Star Wars set is most complete. No manuals are in there, but there is some paperwork. There's also some parts not from either of these sets in there. What the pictures don't show, is just how badly the boxes are warped. I wanted to save the boxes from some kid wrecking them further.

Beneath my digital MOCs I also built the rather ugly looking werewolf MOC with real bricks three years ago (I uploaded some pictures of it on RRU and Mocpages). A reason for that problem was my lack of useful parts (or rather the lack of those ball joints, that are used in Bionicle and Hero Factory sets). Three years later I wanted to draw people and wondered how to get the perpective and proportions right. Then I remembered, that I had a female wooden mannequin for many years now, which I have never used. The main advantage was, that it actually helped me a bit with getting the perspective and proportions right and that it stayed in its position. The disadvantage was the bad flexibility. After that I thought: "Hmm, I wonder, if I could build a better and more awesome looking version out of Lego. I just need some newer sets to have more parts". Well, here is the result: Electra. The flexibility is higher, but the stability is much lower (therefore I have to use acrylic varnish on the ball joints). I still had some part restrictions, but compared with my 2011 MOC I made quite some progress. After four months and ~800 bricks the project is now (hopefully) finished (but getting proportions etc. right was an annoying job) and it looks like I ended up with a gynoid, that you could put into a Sci-Fi setting (IN SPACE of course), instead of having a simple lego figurine, but who needs boring stuff anyway? ^^ About the part restriction thing again: I used 9 different ball joint bricks for this MOC, but 6 of them were small ball joints and therefore I had only 3 different bricks for the bigger ball joints left. I also had no Bionicle or Hero Factory sets, which made the job of building organic shapes harder. Aww screw it, i'm jumping on the hype train I still like 2001-2006 better, but it'll be fun to see where this goes, and what the new sets look like. (if the Hype train doesn't crash and burn of corse)

Over the summer I have set myself a task, to learn how to use the Unity games engine. I'm doing this by making a mini-remake of Lego Rock Raiders. (Very-Nearly-Spoiler-Free-Review) So I finally completed this to 99% (See later). I have to say, this is great. The fact that your starting position is now 8th makes far more sense. However, you can still get to 1st easily by sprinting at the beginning. The Berg's shortcut isn't really patched: you can still take a hard turn left. But you don't get in front of him immediately. You should have moved the other checkpoint, Xiron. Sparky has been moved for the worlds, which means that it's a pain to find him. If you could, could you make the arrow point towards him. The bonus brick and bonus game locations are far harder to find now. (and nigh on impossible to get ) Also, in the bonus games he moved the position of the pickups and where you have to drop them off to. This makes them a lot harder, and in the case of Dino Island impossible because Xiron shoved one inside a building (where Mike is; near a river) that is "possible" (so he says ) to get. However, I sent him some co-ordinates... did you update it? The download link? DO NOT READ UNLESS YOU'VE FOUND EVERYTHING. Seriously: the fun you will have, having not been spoiled by not opening this spoiler, will be magnificent. Don't read it, unless you a) are Xiron, or b) have found everything. Overall, it increases the fun-ness of the Explore mode but doesn't really do that much for races.

I'm not really of a Time Trial guy myself, but I decided to do it tonight and got a pretty good time in LR2: The Grand Finale: 00:35:90 EDIT: Are Adventure times counted, or is it Time Trial mode only? If it's the former, then I got a new time for The Grand Finale: 00:34:50.

I don't like the fact that he's just saying LR2 is bad because he managed to mess up the game. But hey, at least we have a review. The LR review is done pretty well, except for the last thing about versus mode. Is it seriously that hard to understand that it's for two players?
