Video this time because the animations give them a lot of life. Torso texture edited from one of the ones here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=123627 Edit: M-Tron astronaut, also an unused idle animation. Torso texture edited from this. LU devs would have raised the visor and made it opaque and one with the helmet model, like this, because draw calls and stuff. I don't have to go to such lengths.6 points -

I haxed a Time Twister into a dead MMO. More probably coming sometime later, ideas welcome. What am I doing with my life. Torso texture is from Return to Blockland something something, thanks to whoever did that. The rest is LU stuff. NifSkope for model tweaking (adding the hat to a minifigure model), Paint.net for texture editing. Injected into a beta version of the game's login screen (though if beta builds worked properly with the "private servers" you could in theory actually get this guy to appear in a world as a proper NPC, too - alternately, get past the live game's anti-hax system, which I don't have the patience for). Yeah I know the hat's a slightly different shade than the body but if LU devs could be that lazy with official character models/textures so can I. There's also some minor editing goofs in the screenshots. Don't quite care about that right now either. First person to ask "how u stil play LU" gets shot with a Rank 3 Inventor's beehive and then pissed on. Further questioning will just result in the pissing bit. Edit: Classic Johnny Thunder. A More Immersive Windows 8 Experience

I don't know about you, but I really dislike playing in windowed mode, especially in games that are (surprisingly) atmospheric. I thought I'd share my workaround with the site if anyone wants to see what I do. This is what I have the game looking like on my machine: As you can see, it looks quite a bit like a full-screen game maintaining aspect-ratio. I find the black space around the window much less distracting than a wallpaper or miscellaneous icons. To achieve this, first, set the wallpaper either completely black or mostly black. This is the wallpaper I made to go with the game. The game window covers up the crystals. Similarly, you'll want to make sure all your icons are hidden as well. Right click the desktop and go to View > Show desktop icons. A much better idea. Next, you need to right-click on the desktop, go to Personalize > Color, and choose a grey color. Then turn the intensity all the way up and the brightness all the way down. This will change the edges of the window so they match the background, further adding to the illusion of a window-less game. Also, if this is too much work for every time you want to play Rock Raiders, you can save the color and background by finding Personalize > Save Theme. You can then quickly double click the theme and it will set all this up automatically. Finally, right-click the taskbar, go to Properties, and check Auto-Hide the Taskbar to make that go away. Also, you can change the resolution settings by right-clicking the desktop and choosing Screen Resolutions. If you set up Cafeteria, you probably won't need to do this but if not, click Advanced Settings > List all modes > 800x600, True Color (32 bit), 60 hertz I don't know if this is at all helpful, or if anyone really cares, but I find it much more enjoyable playing like this so I thought I'd annoy everyone else with it.1 point -

Recently Xiron >brought to my attention the presence of another verison of Drome Racers for PC. As it turns out, there are at least two different copies of Drome Racers. The EXE, GTC, and INF files are all minorly different between the two version. The Short Overview Older, DRM Safedisc V2.80.010 DRM Built on 11-06-02 Has a splash screen during CD verification. New, No DRM No DRM Build on 11-22-02 Has an opening language select screen. How do you tell which version you have? If you can't play without the CD or have this splash screen, you have the Older, DRM version. You can also check the file date modified. In-Depth Overview Now for the in-depth comparison. SYSTEM/DEVELOPER.CFG The Newer, No DRM version uses 0x0A line endians, but the Older, DRM version uses 0x0D0A. Credits And finally, the TEXT/CREDITS *.CMU files are all different between versions. This is because the Electronic Arts section of the credits was removed in the Newer, No DRM version. Here is the English version of the removed section. This means that later EA was removed from the credits. I have no idea why, but it might be an interesting story.1 point -

[MOC] Technic B-25 Mitchell WIP

Hey all. Well I finally started work on my next Technic aircraft, A B-25 Mitchell. It's going to be a similar size to my Technic Spitfire and mostly the same type of functions. The planned functions I have at the moment are: Both engines powered by a PF XL motor each. Working ailerons, elevator and rudder all controlled from the cockpit. Working Landing gear powered by a PF M motor. Working Landing flaps also powered by a PF M motor. Working turrets. I've so far built part of the left engine bay with the landing gear leg and the basic structure of the center of the main fuselage. First a couple of pictures of the engine bay: Next up is the section of main fuselage I've built so far: And thats everything for now. I'm not sure how long this MOC is going to take as I don't currently have all the pieces needed and affording them is going to be interesting to say the least but I will try and finish it before the end of the year hopefully.1 point -

Just a quick update today as I haven't gotten much building done in the past week. I did a bit of work on the tail section and I think I've come up with a design that should be quite strong once it's finished. It's also now getting close to how long it's going to end up being once finished. I have actually run out of 1x16 studded beams so I might replace some in the tail with 1x14 studded beams. And thats it for this update. Hopefully I get a bit more building done this week.1 point -

Honestly, you can't just explain what the story is going to be about. You really have to give us an example chapter, because that will speak more about your project than anything else. On the violence discussion, use violence as a tool to convey the message of the story, but don't worry about its social impacts. Art is not about bending over to censorship, it's about trying to showcase humanity in its current state.1 point -

Well, that's a start. A start. It takes a lot more than no previous experience and a few sprites to go somewhere. If you're seriously considering becoming a sprite artist, my advice to you is to spend as much time as possible developing your skills. Create brand new sprites for existing games (there's plenty of old and open-source games that still use sprites), maybe even create mock projects.1 point -
