    No automatic minimizing

I have found a way to disable the automatic minimizing when LR loses focus. I thought some of you might like this. With cheat engine, change the byte at 0x417602 (1999 no-drm version) from 0x75 to 0xEB. For the 2001 version, change the byte at 0x48A562. The game won't minimize automatically anymore. If there is interest, I can search the address for the 2001 version too. added. Edit: I just found out the game also doesn't pause when you mimimize if you change this. Edit2: The game crashes when an UAC prompt pops up.

Due to a recent griefing situation on the server, I am disabling the Gamemode Station. If you are in Creative, and you come on the server, a Mod will switch you back to Survival. The Gamemode Station will be disabled for 3 days, and will be re-enabled on Monday, September 15 at 4:00pm EST. If the problem persists, The Gamemode Station will be closed for a week. If it continues from there, the Gamemode Station will be removed and Creative Mode will no longer be available to players. We really don't want to do this, but someone isn't following one of the most strict rules we have, and actions will be taken. Also, do NOT bug us about temporarily taking Creative Mode away. Our decision stands.

    Shadowblaze - Showdown

I decided to upload this earlier than usual because it's Xiron's birthday, you know. Well, this is my new track, Showdown! It is one of my classic Chiptuney Drumstep/Dubstep style music, except this one is completely chiptune (although the drums and bass are digital, because Drumstep). This music was inspired by final boss battles in retro videogames. The track starts with a catchy 8bit tune, but it keeps rising and adding tension as time passes, just like an usual boss battle does, and it transforms in the music of a decisive battle, with the tension building up more and more until the very end of the music. Enjoy! http://youtu.be/QAGggZ-eO6c Listen on SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/c24dubstep/c24-showdown

Wow... Well, that is rather selfish. Please do not abuse the awesome things the server mods put in place to better the server, just to have some little gain of your own, much to the detriment of others. It would be a real shame for us to lose Creative mode that way, and also that the moderators have to be put through unnecessary extra work. On a lighter note... Bukkit's been having issues (the server used to use Bukkit for its mods, but cannot at the moment due to this) but apparently it's all getting sorted out for the better, or something. I think. If so, then we'll be able to add in some of the old plugins, e.g. multiple worlds!

LEGO Racers Instructions & Part Lists

After building most of the LEGO Racers myself, and receiving a couple of requests for part lists for them, I've put together both Bricklink-compatible part lists and PDF building instructions. This way, you don't have to search through Bricklink for hours (as I unfortunately did) to find all the parts, and can build them with proper step-by-step instructions. Downloads Part Lists Instructions Both are organised into circuits, with notes and ammendments where necessary - LDraw doesn't have all the parts in their library required to build these models so I had to use replacements. Also, the parts lists are both in XML form and Brickstore files, which I used to make them, so if you have Brickstore you can open the originals in that. How To Upload Parts To upload the parts lists to Bricklink and make a wish list, do the following. 1) Log in to Bricklink. 2) Click the Wanted tab on the main nav bar. 3) Under Manage My Wanted List, click Upload. 4) Open the XML file of the circuit you wish to add, copy all of its contents, and paste them into the text box. Then click Verify Items. 5) Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Upload File. 6) Done! The parts should now be uploaded to your main wanted list. How To Purchase Parts To purchase parts from your wanted list in as few orders as possible, do the following. 1) Click the Wanted tab on the main nav bar. 2) Click the By Shop tab on the sub nav bar. 3) Choose 'My Main Wanted List' from the first dropdown box, and sort by 'Lots (Unique)'. Click Go!. 4) Bricklink will then find the seller with the most parts in your wanted list for sale. The higher the number in brackets, the more parts they have. For instance, Circuit 7 contains 100 unique lots, so a listing of 70 or greater is good, however be aware that some sellers may charge more for your parts than others. 5) Go on to purchase your parts as normal. Enjoy!

    A Sort Of Boat-y Thingy

Yah, so I couldn't think up a title. 'Sea Destroyer,' although being accurate, was just too cheesy. So without further ado: It's a large speedboat, as you can see. I would have used black hulls and light green cockpits but we didn't have either. (Lego only made 1 Neon Green cockpit like that, right? In the Sea Scorpion?) Also, the cockpits are a) scratched and thus slightly opaque, and b) not fitting together because they're warped. Not too badly, mind you. You're probably first wondering what those black thingies up the front are. Let me explain: They're claws. They're controlled by a gear, which you can see me turning. This turns another gear inside there, which turns another gear which turns the... ratchet? Spiky bar, whatever it is, which moves the top claw backwards and forward. Stuff it, I'll show you this picture. You see? A gear that you turn turns another gear (not visible) which turns a visible gear which turns the grey spiky thingy which moves the claw. This is it open: And this is it shut. Elastic bands provide the snap-back force so all you do is roll a gear, the top claw rotates back, and then let go and it snaps down. You're probably thinking 'why the other gears? Why not have that one just turn it immediately?' There are two reasons: Firstly, the gear which you turn is the comfiest. It also doesn't like to be jammed in by bricks: when I was making this mechanism it was jamming because the gear was slightly too large. Plus, doing that makes it turn far too quickly. And it's a pain to reach that far forward. Here's a nice top view of the entire model. Rhotuka spinners you ask? On the back you say? Indeed. As you can see, the spinners are stored near them. They're stored quite cunningly, if I may say so myself. A rocket launcher holds them in place, which needs to be taken off in order to get the spinners off. And in that last image you can see the holder. I couldn't attach a third pin because the spinners wouldn't fit, as you can see in the second picture. In that last image you also can see the winch, which I added because WHY NOT? That horrible bar is there (it doesn't look too bad from Top View) in order so that you can actually launch the spinners. If I just had the tower of bricks, when you pull the ripcord the entire thing just comes with it. I also added other reinforcing. Anyway, onto the main bit. The top can fold out. What's that big stick poking out the top you ask? This: As you can see, it's very, very large. It's designed to be held by two people. (And yes, that is the best minifigure model of me I could make ) Inside, we are treated to a culinary achievement a bunch of stuff. A large control panel, two normal-size laz0rs (the things in the direct center, a safe (which won't open fully due to things in the way), and a computer. This space inside does indeed connect to the cockpit, but it is too small to fit a minifigure inside. You can see that in this picture (a bit): Here's the side. As you can see, I stuck a ripcord there (and on the other side too) so I didn't have to rummage around for one, and because it adds a little bit of touch to the model. And here's the bottom. You should be able to attach the motor that came from the same set as the hulls: but the problem is that it's generally pretty useless as I'm pretty sure the boat will sink. Yes, it's watertight, but as soon as you get to the cockpit it isn't watertight. And we ALL know how long Lego takes to dry, especially if you don't take it apart. This is my largest MOC I've ever made, and probably the heaviest and the most complicated (those gear systems were painful with the size just being a little TOO big). And now I'm running rather low on decent black bricks, as the Dol Guldur Gate is still standing. OOOOOOOOOOOOPS

Yeah, is there one specific track from the OST you'd like? How about #4 Dragon Valley 1 itself? Having it loop in my ears as I raged through the speedruns was rather soothing. Okay. A few modding ideas:

You cannot let the music stop by just deactivating Action Stations. If you do a looping version of the song, it will continue even if you had Action Stations activated for only 3 seconds. The other way would be that the looping version is (e.g.) 3 minutes long but you have to use Action Stations for a longer time. Then you wouldn't here anything after three minutes. To make it clear, the Action Stations button is the trigger for the used sound file, but the button cannot stop or extend the sound.

    LEGOLAND Parks

It would be great if someone could get the source code for the attraction and port it to run without the need for the Conductor. It's already been rewritten to work on XP, so it's a possibility that it could run on Vista/7/8 or 8.1 with a few tweaks. A possibility to use a dedicated PC to control things could be nice. Internet enabled Rocket Racers anyone? Being able to control lights etc. could be an option for people wanting to recreate the whole experience. Hmmm... We'd also need DVD rips of the instructional video...

MOC: Nebulon-B Frigate in LDD WIP

Thanks. I've been working on my Nebulon B Frigate over the past few days so here's an update on what I've done. I've added a bit more detail to the rear section as well as finished off the detail on the bottom of the front section. I've also been thinking about the colours so I still need to sort them out and there might also be a few minor tweaks here and there as well. I also need to sort out the internal structure as it's a bit of a mess at the moment.
