The website for TIME Magazine posted a report on the thirteen most influential toys of all time about a week ago. Product lines from Cabbage Patch Dolls to Star Wars figures to dolls from a relatively new Disney Junior show called "Doc McStuffins" are among these influential playthings. And three guesses as to what was at the top of the heap? Yes, LEGO is not only the top grossing toy company right now, but also the one that has influenced so many. This comes as no big surprise among its fans, but it's refreshing to know that external sources are also recognizing LEGO as such a huge thing. A while ago I saw a topic on the Mass Effect forums where a user was taking screenshots and enhancing them. By that I mean making an ordinary screenshot from Mass Effect 'extraordinary' by editing it to improve its overall features. I recently got a capture device for my PS3/PS4 and thought I'd take a few screenshots of Mass Effect 2, then have a go at editing them myself. Here are the results. You may want to open them in new tabs to flick between them and see the differences better. Thought this place could use some spicing up, so here's my lastest creation: The Research Lab. The design of the building is actually based on RR Rock's hospital design since I think it is most suitable for this kind of long and enclosed structures. In the lab, RR carry out analysis on unknown substances collected and see if they have useful properties. To destroy rock walls for minerals, the lab is equipped with a Sonic Emitter Device. Similar to the sonic blaster, it sends out sonic waves that causes rock walls to crumble (it also can be used to try and chase off Slimy Slugs ). Since it has a larger area of effect, it is much more effective than the mining laser at destroying rock walls. Additionally, it also has a control tower which monitors activities within the lab and manages communication. For defense against monsters, there is a laser to fend of any attacks. Here are the photos: The lab's Sonic Emitter The building is not excatly completed, but is more or less finished. Still need to do some touch up on the door concealing the Sonic Emitter, and I'm trying to decide what to build in the empty fenced of area on the roof. Anyone has any ideas?

There is only one way to fix this, and it is not to stop making music. ;P

What problems are you having? If it's locating the player cars for use with the tool, they're in the Saves -> 0 folder.

Heheh... I have a new Win7 Ultimate waiting for me when I build my new PC. Bought one on eBay. It turned out to be a fake. Contacted Microsoft. Sent fake to Microsoft at their request. Received genuine version from Microsoft. Got eBay refund.

I was forced into it because they sold out of all copies of Windows 7... :P

That aside, it's nice to see that Lego isn't viewed as a bunch of plastic bricks overrunning the planet. And to be honest, I'm rather surprised TIME didn't go for an American toy. They always use American stuff, whenever they can, even if it's the "World's top blahblahblah."

MCJOBLESS. WHY HAVEN'T YOU UPDATED THIS TOPIC IN FOREVER? Knowledge is a weird thing, and it hurts a lot. Essentially, I have a lot of notes to share, but there's the problem of both organisation (making them readable by anybody without access to my brain) and plagiarism/lack of context (I don't want to provide you guys with notes that could be viewed for free from people who are doing a lot of good work spreading important messages about games development, and some of the stuff I've got aren't really relevant to what we've covered so far). I'm right now considering turning what I've learnt into a small PDF. I don't want to publish everything into a condensed book proper, since that would be paying disservice to the giants I've been climbing on top of so far. I'll let you know when I've made progress, but for now, know that the journey is only going to get far more confusing unless you're prepared for it.
