Had a quick visit into my local Kmart while I was bored and decided to check out the LEGO section, SWAT were already there. They forgot to print their brand name.... I guess I would too. I did not purchase this.

    Tutorial: 3D Modelling

I had a first look at the .BVB files. I looked into two COLLIDE files. There are vertices without additional information and triangles with additional information. I was able to create the following images with the data from the 34 and the 2d sections: The test track The 8e section fills the rest of the file. It looks like the Binary Editor could not handle dynamic (unknown) structures. I am not able to interprete the content of the 8e section yet. There are always a variable number of integers followed by 4 shorts (except the last group of integers). Here is an extract from the TESTCOLLIDE.BVB Please remember: 0x04 is an integer 0x17 is a struct that was defined in this file 0x14 is an array with 0x__ 0x__ entries of type 0x__

    LR2: TLM Emmet

Maybe. I think part of the problem is the lack of neck, and for hair not his proper hairstyle, and quite possibly the shape of the head in general. Edit: Bing! Arm color fixed. Hotfix download can be found here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/knroaehb7w04cqo/WORKMAN2%20TORSO%20%28Emmet%29.zip?dl=0

LEGO Mixels 2015 (Wave Four) Confirmed!

FunFact: Nitsput (The Space Mixel with wings) is a reference to the Soviet Union's Sputnik satellite, the first satellite in space. I just thought that was interesting.

Red Skull's Flying-Wing Chase [My LEGO IDEA Project]

Hello everyone! I'm new to this forum and I'm truely a LEGO fan:) Here is one of my recent work based on Marvel Super Heroes theme, and hope you guys enjoy it! For more details, please check the link below. If you like the model, please give your support. Thanks a lot! https://ideas.lego.com/projects/85922 THE STORY The project features the scene from the movie Captain America: The First Avenger. Red Skull is escaping in his flying-wing with the cosmic cube, and Captain America is chasing him, but he is losing his target. Thanks to Peggy Carter and Colonel Chester Phillips, who come with Red Skull's roadster for help! After kissing Peggy goodbye, the mighty Captain jumps onto the aircraft from the roadster and saves the day! THE FLYING-WING The flying-wing is built mainly with dark grey, light grey, black and some dark red bricks. The front cockpit can open and fit one minifig, probably Red Skull himself. The back cockpit can also open, where Red Skull place the cosmic cube. THE ROADSTER The roadster is built with black and dark red bricks, and can fit two minifigures comfortably. Peggy and Colonel Chester Phillips are driving the luxurious car, although it is Red Skull's ride. For more details of the roadster, please refer to this link (including the car model from real bricks): https://ideas.lego.c...s/83538/updates THE MINIFIGS This project includes four minifigs: Captain America, Red Skull, Peggy Carter and Colonel Chester Phillips. As for the accessories: Captain America is holding his shield; Red Skull has a big gun in one hand and the cosmic cube in the other; Peggy and the Colonel are both holding a pistol. All four minifigs have custom decals on their heads and torsos. Many thanks for viewing!

LEGO Mixels 2015 (Wave Four) Confirmed!

The Brick Fan reports that the first wave of 2015 Mixels have been revealed. It appears that we're getting space Mixels, another wave of fire Mixels, and some spooky Mixels. The Max-Mixes haven't been revealed yet, but I'm sure they'll look really fun! I really like how some glow in the dark Mixel eyes are going to be made, it'll be cool to see what MOCists will do with them. >Link to the Brick Fan Report<

And Scooby Doo, if You Come Through, You're Gonna Have Yourself a LEGO Set

We would've gotten away without them too, if it weren't for those meddling LEGO execs. I really hope that the orgin of this rumor is just a guy in a mask and nothing but a hoax. sorry, i'll stop now

  9. The first time I haven't seen the link to the redesign and thought: What's so bad about the redesign? Then I found the link... ...and had to remember the following comic, I made: About the idea to make Lego sets based on the redesigned Scooby Doo series: What can possibly go wrong? Maybe they will get even BIGGER heads than the Simpsons minifigures .

Another awesome model yet again, Phantom! Great use of dark colours, and the small red horns provide an excellent break. I love the detail on his torso most. Kind of reminds me of this fellow: Well, when he looks like this anyway:

  12. Eh, I mentor some kids for another family and they really enjoy Scooby Doo. It's only a few kids out of the world's population, but the fact is that if kids still enjoy Scooby Doo enough for it to still be on TV, then LEGO isn't making a bad move by producing sets for it. And the redesign of the cast may be horrific to us - older generations used (and attached by nostalgia, probably) to the original designs - but as with most redesigns, the newer generations will still love it/won't have seen older versions. If you showed the old Scooby Doo to a little kid who has only seen this redesign, they'd probably think it rubbish. And besides, LEGO can be confident that older generations will buy the product anyway, because we're stupid fools that buy from every nostalgic whim we get.

I don't see any functionality in the police station, and the designers have used little SNOT technique on the models. I appreciate the political correctness they have observed, but adding noses to the figures is offensive to people without noses so that's another strike for them. The box isn't too bad, it shows the product well (with a single overview shot rather than in-depth pictures, but it's not a big deal), however the misleading front image depicting three cars is deceiving to customers. The colour scheme is well thought out, with the standard black-and-white in use with nice blue-and-red lights. The awkwardly coloured floor of the headquarters is unnecessary however and adds an eyesore to the set (if you can stop looking at the noses for more than a minute). However, another misleading aspect is the photo of a helmet on the front and back - such an accessory is not included with the kit, and hence customers are deceived yet again. But the biggest gripe for me is the 'Compatible with other brands' statement. Utter bullpoo. The only way you can get those parts to fit onto a LEGO piece is to grab a flame-thrower and melt them into liquid, pour them over the desired LEGO brick and solidify them again. In short, I'd give it: Design - 6/10 Playability - 2/10 Box - 5/10 Overall - 4.33/10

  15. Can LEGO stop popping out licensed sets every 5 minutes already to make a quick buck. Who asked for this? seriously? where is the demand for Scooby sets? Either TLG is trying to ride on the back of WB or WB is trying to ride the back of TLG for promotion. There is this other site called LEGO Ideas full of products people want, maybe you've heard of it LEGO. I do not understand the re-design. It's like they got the all time well known design and asked themselves: how can we make these more revolting?

"In lieu of" meaning "in place of"? If that's what they would look like, I would be okay with that.

  21. RUH ROH, REGO!! Those redesigns are, in a word, terrible. For DECADES, we've had the same general designs for the Mystery Inc. gang, and now... *sigh* As long as we get normal Minifig heads and not minidolls, we should be more-or-less fine. I'll actually get myself a Mystery Machine set, too. UNLESS THEY REDESIGN THAT ALONG WITH THOSE MEDDLING KIDS.

    Small Transport Truck

It is finally completed! Previews More views: YouTube video: http://youtu.be/tsvCOCttm68 Information This mod took... A very long time. But I'm proud of it, and now that I've made all these parts future models should take much less time to produce. Several binary files were modified, but the main one was CRCM.GDB, which now has: 12 textures 1542 Vertices 868 Indices 150 Indices Meta entries Over 17000 lines of code All custom made! Again, I'd like to give a huge thanks to WillKirkby for making the >Binary File Editor, and le717 for making >GDBump, without which I would not have been able to produce this mod. Download You can download the Small Transport Truck here: Small Transport Truck Installation instructions, along with a brief description of how to change the car to a different racer, are included in the contained Readme file. Note that the Binary File Editor doesn't save comments, so if you'd like to check out the commented code then click here. Want to Use This Mod? If you'd like to use this vehicle (or any of the parts within it) in your own mod, then feel free! This mod was made partly as an example after all. However, should you use it (or its parts) in your own mod, please give me credit for making it. Because it took a very long time to make.

    Switching around the Voices

You mean switching a voice of a character with that of another? If you want this you have to go in the .JAM - GAMEDATA/VOICES. Here there are all the voices of the characters. To change a voice you have to switch the name of a file with that of another. Ex:CR_N02.PCM to JT_N00.PCM (a vocal clip of Capitan Redbeard to a one of Johnny Thunder).
