First off, I finally got a picture of my entire RR collection, including the spare parts bin, which is exciting. Secondly, I have made a soundboard for Android for the RR SFX. but...I don't know how to get it to you guys. It's still a work in progress, but I'd love to get you guys playing with it and get feedback.. So if anyone knows how to have it hosted, or wants to email me and I'll send it to you directly, just let me know.7 points -

I was recently going through some of my original game discs searching for some assets, and ended up locating some of the original PDFs derived directly from the original source documents, thus preserving formatting, vector culling, and layers. I thought many of you guys would enjoy them, so have I posted the ones I could locate to Oresome in PDF format. As you may notice, I am still missing some manuals, so if you don't see a manual here, please consider checking your own game discs to see if you have it, and link it in a post for me to add to the original post. Thank you! I'm still going through things, but it seems a lot of my manual PDFs are different than yours... I'll update this post as I go. LEGO Chess - Seems mine has an installation section yours doesn't have, with a graphic of Fort Legoredo. Maybe more, haven't looked closely. LEGO Creator Knights' Kingdom and LEGO Creator Knights' Kingdom again - I've somehow ended up with three copies of this game. One has no manual PDF, the other two have manual PDFs, each with a file size different from each other and yours. Haven't looked for differences very much, backgrounds seem slightly different. LEGO Loco - File size is significantly bigger, seems to have more stuff in general going by a brief glance at the table of contents. LEGO Racers - In color, not sure if there's any other differences. LEGOLAND - Got two copies of this, PDFs are the same between each other but seem pretty different than yours going by the table of contents. Also: Soccer Mania My PC copies of Drome Racers and Island Xtreme Stunts don't have PDF manuals (or any manuals for that matter), but the PS2 versions have printed manuals. Dunno if there's any PC PDFs floating around. I'm also pretty sure I've seen another version of the LR2 manual somewhere before.3 points -

I once found out that if you put a classic Lego game onto a computer the game does not support, you can find the manual there. I'll have a fish around and see if I can find some more manuals you either haven't or yet to have posted. EDIT; I've got the Manual for Lego Rock Raiders right here; http://oresome.rockraidersunited.com/download/174 I decided not to post up any others because the manuals that came with my copies of games like LEGOLAND and Lego Island 2: The Brickster's Revenge have the same Manual layout and info.2 points -

Hah. That's definitely one interpretation you could go for. Those look more like clone raiders than Addict-clones, though. Oh well. That's also a great interpretation.2 points -

How is the Mask of Light board game? I never got that one. The original Quest for the Masks card game has a pretty interesting story, actually. It launched with the theme decks (two Toa per deck) and standard booster packs. Depending on the foil card you have, it may be rare - but not worth much, as there are only a handful of collectors out there (myself included). Later in the year expansion packs were launched that added a new element to the game, Rahi Challenge. It added a level of challenge that I appreciate, there are a lot of new factors that you have to take into account and the game can go in different directions. The original plan was to launch a set of expansion decks and packs for the Bohrok in 2002 - they would've been titled quite simply 'Bohrok Swarm.' But I think sales on the game weren't meeting expectations, so Upper Deck cut the packs off and repacked the expansion decks as a standalone game to attract more buyers. The Bohrok expansion packs would have had story cards like the original booster packs, with original art telling a story about the characters. The art and text for these was printed into a story booklet in the Bohrok decks when the packs were cancelled. After that, they threw out the (already established as lame) Toa Nuva Reconstruct and that was the end of that. The Mask of Light board game isn't really anything to write home about - for starters, it reuses excess inventory from Quest for Makuta - namely the character pawns and dice. So the Toa Nuva are represented by images of the original Toa, and there is a third die included that is not used in the gameplay at all. The gameplay is weird and doesn't really flow well. You 'play' as one of the Toa Nuva, but they are stationary in their village the entire time. You can only move Takua or the Rahkshi. Basically the goal is to get Rahkshi to attack your opponents' villages to rob them of Matoran - whoever has the most Matoran by the end of the game wins. But since it is all based on chance it doesn't work out well. You may roll too low or too high and not be able to do anything with a Rahkshi. Your opponent is just as likely to beat the Rahkshi as they are to be beaten by it - in which case, they gain a Matoran. So basically it is everyone sitting around rolling dice to determine how many points they get, until Takua's pawn has reached the Kini-Nui. At this point, a couple of Matoran have been placed at the temple from when a Rahkshi/Toa battle ended in a draw. Whoever beats Makuta (again, by complete chance, no strategy) gets these Matoran as a boost, essentially securing their victory. Quest for Makuta is a lot more fun, even if it is far from perfect itself.2 points -
Retro LEGO Comics/Storybooks/Animated Cartoons General Discussion
emily reacted to Sadie Meowsalot for a topic
It seems like Donald Duck & Co. has featured LEGO comics for a while given that it ran that one series centered around a boy and girl playing with LEGO from the late 1960s to the mid-1970s that we still don't know much about, and added that we're seeing comics tied to the magazine well beyond that as well. This piques my curiosity as to exactly how many comics the publication has contained throughout time, and to what extent.1 point -

Seeing your avatars being changed to the winter edition (paste a christmas hat somewhere over the head or whatever a head could be) I though I might change my chief avatar as well. When I started, I couldn't hold back and made (more or less) Rock-Raiderish version of this. Here's what I got then: And some really minor changes that make the sleigh totally fit into the Rock Raiders' vehicle system: I just need to figure out how to use that as my profile pic Edit: New version's picture added:1 point -

@darkel does that mean that, with a bit of TXT and script ticking (I guess) you can like, port ANY character from any LEGO TT game into a different game? For example, Batman in LEGO Star Wars, or Emmet in LEGO Batman 2, or whatever Also does that mean I could create some sort of "Pizza launcher" for a Pepper Roni character? Because that would be awesome EDIT: OH YESSSSSSSSSS Now I just have to make him a separate character c: It will be even more painful to make Pepper a separate character without a proper GSC/GHG manager (to extract and insert back) because almost every character's GHG has an animated face mesh but I want Pepper's face to be plain... if someone with patience to hex edit a GHG (or make that manager tool I talked about) could edit it to have Pepper's features1 point
