LEGO Fun to Build: The first LEGO game? (Before LEGO Island!)
Seaborgium and 8 others reacted to emily for a topic
Holy what. LEGO Island was supposed to be the first proper, fully released LEGO video game, being preceded only by the software that came with set 8250 from the same year. But, um, apparently this was the first LEGO video game. Found a walkthrough:9 points -

Lego Time Cruisers comics

Done. Prinzenrolle comic added to album, and description has been completely re-wrote. Let me know if it sounds okay, I considered going more in-depth about the history behind the comics but I realised I didn't have a good enough grasp on the situation to do so, so I just kept to the basics.2 points -
Green Riegel
Firedude34 reacted to Zed for a topic
Includes versions both with and without pants. Overrides Riegel's original textures in game dataALIENS. The skin does not interfere with the low-poly environment Martians, but the one piloting Riegel's mech still has teal skin. Once I have found the textures for them and the .md2 file for the mech, an updated version will make the pilot green while leaving the others teal. https://ore.rockraidersunited.org/legacy/LR2_Green_Riegel_333955.zip1 point -
Lego Time Cruisers comics
emily reacted to Fush for a topic
I'm on it! ...but I'm not sure where to put them, in relation to the rest of the pages. Is this even within the main comic's continuity, or is it it's own separate thing? I guess I could stick it at the beginning, or at the end. I can put a link in the description to skip right to the start of this comic, but unfortunately I can't do any kind of formatting in the description, so far as I can tell. BTW I guess I should probably update the description anyway with more detailed/accurate/updated information, not to mention it's worded a bit awkwardly. ALSO: Holy s*** is that Spyrius? I completely forgot that was even a thing. Wow.1 point -
E3 - "Lego Island(?)" scene disscussed
Ben24x7 reacted to lol username for a topic
Uh... Did you read the topic you got that link from? It's not an early version of the game. It's just a short animated video they made for E3. The game itself was not shown. Also, that image of the island was a sort of stock promo image they also used in magazine advertisements and such. So now we know what was going on at E3 to some degree. It would be really nice to be able to see that animation.1 point -

I don't see any walls, just a book against a green background. As for the odd shaped pieces, maybe it's these with some paper for the white bits: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=2429c01 INFOMANIAC!1 point -

Well then. '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> So, any more Japan exclusives we don't know about? Sounds like Bricks: The Ultimate Construction Toy. It's not official and has nothing to do with LEGO Island. We discussed it a bit >here. ... Uh, what...? Linking Leroy was part of a C64 demo team's demos. They knew some guys at LEGO. That's it. Sounds like you're getting a bit confused here.1 point -

Retro LEGO Comics/Storybooks/Animated Cartoons General Discussion
TalonCard reacted to Sadie Meowsalot for a topic
A response to some queries I posed regarding the development of the 1992 Adventure in LEGOLAND and 1993 Safari Adventure in LEGOLAND books from their author, Carol Matas: "Dear Sadie, The answers here might surprise you, since LEGO is such a big corporation and normally there would be so much red tape and so many hurdles - but this is how it happened: I was living in Copenhagen with my husband Per Brask who was there on Sabbatical. Per is Danish and we were visiting his family and he was working and researching in theatre,as he is a theatre Professor. Our children were 6 and 10 and we all went to Legoland for a little holiday. When I saw Titanias's palace I had the inspiration for the first story. Aaron is named after my son, Aaron Samuel, and Aaron's best friend at the time Aryeh. I wrote the story on rainy days in November in Copenhagen when the children were at school and Per was a work. I wrote in long hand then. When finished Per researched the Lego company and discovered the contact that we could send the story to. My memory is a little vague here but as I remember it, he liked it, had it approved and then it was up to me to find a publisher. (He was wonderful by the way.) I sent it out to many publishers but they all turned it down and I gave up until over a year later my mother in law chided me and encouraged me to keep trying. At that point I tried Scholastic. They decided not to publish it in trade but only in the book club although I think maybe Scholastic Canada published it in trade. The first book sold over 250,000 copies. Unfortunately Safari Adventure in Legoland only sold 60,000 and Scholastic decided to drop the series. I had already written a space Lego story and a pirate novel- still in my archives, unpublished but now it is almost impossible to go such a personal route with LEGO. A producer tried to interest Lego in using the series as the basis for their big new movie but as you can see they chose a different direction. (Obviously a good choice for them since it has been such a big hit.) I still love the series and am thankful they allowed me to write a couple of the books at least. All best, Carol"1 point -

I'm home. I'm geeking out. Here's some pics. Proper scans coming whenever I can get my hands on a scanner. It's all UFO stuff, but while I haven't translated the German, I think it might just confirm my MOCanon about the story ties between UFO and Insectoids. Did I mention I'm geeking out? Folder (once it's public) The comic book and a Chamon minifigure for scale There's an ad printed right inside the comic book, and then an insert that was glued to it The ad The front of the insert The insert begins with some character bios (alternate pic) Some story info that I'm itching to translate The next two pages are a comic Looking familiar, eh? A puzzle Set advertisements The back of the insert1 point -
Kids Station: LEGO no Sekai

LEGO no Sekai (LEGOã®ä¸–界) translates to LEGO World or LEGO's World. ã® (no) is a possessive so the latter is most likely the closest translation.1 point -

Sorry to double post, but I think we've got something here. First video I found: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=o2q65Q8b5go#t=17s Ok, not much to see here, but it did confirm that LEGO had a presence at the show, so I kept digging. Then I found this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=SoImUoHTgSk#t=218s Bingo! Right, now to see if there's some better footage of this LEGO Island E3 demo thing... This certainly looks interesting!1 point
