The Okotoan Language
Seaborgium and 3 others reacted to The Ace Railgun for a topic
Well I know I said I was gone, but I just thought i'd share what I'm doing with Kretta, Greencapps, and John_Smith over on the TTV (thethreevirtues) boards. We're currently working on deciphering the Okotoan language seen on the Mask of Creation and the tomb. We have figured out that there are 18 symbols in total counting the rotated dupes. I'm creating a chart of the characters (including the rotations) so we're ready to fill in sounds when the time comes.4 points -
LR2 Custom Car Unpacker
aidenpons and one other reacted to Quisoves Potoo for a topic
A few days ago, I was alerted, thanks to Firedude34, to a conspicuous, yet easily filled, gap in the LEGO Racers 2 tool library. It is thus that I present, for your entertainment and edification, the LEGO Racers 2 Custom Car Unpacker ("CCDU.") Download Instructions Download and extract CCDU.zip Locate your LEGO Racers 2 "SaveGame" file, which is normally situated in DocumentsGamesLEGO Racers 2Saved Games. Drag the file to "CCDU.exe", and voila! All your custom cars (.CCD files) have been extracted. You will find them in the folder "[save-file name] Car Files" Notes: If an Adventure Mode car is present for a particular world, a duplicate exists (last among the car files for that world.) This is a peculiarity of LEGO Racers 2. I deemed it most convenient for the program to overwrite any preexisting custom car files, should they share their names with those being extracted. Thus, if you intend to unpack your save-game once more, and want to save an already-unpacked car for later, you must either move it to another folder or change its file-name. Program written in Python and compiled via Py2EXE. And special thanks to Xiron, for listing the offsets of certain .CCD files, thus making the naming feature a synch.2 points -

BIONICLE RETURNING 2015
aidenpons reacted to Fush for a topic
So I picked up a Pohatu. My shelf is now 17% more fortified against the Makuta Skull Spiders, I guess. Honestly I kinda still like the old one better. They didn't have Kopaka where I looked, else I'd have picked him up too. And yes, I did try flipping the torso, it was in fact very easy to do. But it looked bad, so I put it back.1 point -

"Dupes" sounds like they're random scribbles on a wall, and you only drew 14 of them. Because it's not done yet, I made that at 1:00 AM then went to bed Here's the completed chart with all 18 symbols.1 point -
Tunnel Transport
Raidrocker90 reacted to alan for a topic
Abridged version in english: You can change the TT's speed manually in the CFG. In the pasted code you find the line RouteSpeed 20.300:00.400:00.500 The values between the ':' are speed values for the different levels of your TT (First value: No upgrade, 2nd value: e.g. speed upgrade, ...). Here the speed for Level 1 is extremely high (compare 20.300 to the other 2 and compare it with the other vehicles). You can set it at any value you want.1 point -
LEGO Racers PS1 Soundtrack

I tend not to embed album art in the files themselves because of file sizes. If I do embed album art (for single tracks, not full albums), I embed 256px by 256px art.For whole albums, I use a single AlbumArt.jpg (because my phone uses it) in the album's folder Either way, added your download to the first post. :)1 point -

I just compared this with the PC version, and by golly does the quality sound better! Why didn't anyone tell me sooner!? I've updated the metadata in your pack, and added in the album art from Lair's PC pack. Now this really is the ultimate pack! http://oresome.rockraidersunited.com/download/1951 point -

Anti-Town Affiliation Anti-Town Type of Role Kill the Village Games All Alternate Names Mafia, Traitors, Dark Hunters, Brotherhood of Makuta, Cult "Anti-Town" is an umbrella term used to describe the antagonist faction in each Mafia game. Most games make use of one Anti-Town faction, although some games will use more. Mafia The most commonly used term for the Anti-Town faction is the "Mafia", and it was used as the main term all the way through the First Age. During the Second Age it was slowly replaced over time by other terms, and by the time of the Third Age it was no longer used. Players allied to the Anti-Town faction may still be referred to as Mafia for the sake of simplicity. Traitors Another commonly used term for the Anti-Town faction, which started to see widespread use during the Second Age and the Third Age, before becoming replaced by more Bionicle-oriented terms. Dark Hunters The first of the Bionicle-oriented terms for the Anti-Town faction in a game. Usually functions similarly to an ordinary Mafia, although Mafia III-4: The Four Tribes notably used a far different variant. Brotherhood of Makuta Another Bionicle-inspired term for the Anti-Town faction in a game. This too usually functions similarly to an ordinary Mafia, and was used in conjunction with the Dark Hunters as a second Anti-Town faction in Bionicle Mafia V: Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Sailor. Cult A common term for the Anti-Town faction that functions differently from the others - instead of killing players, the Cult converts them, expanding in size as the Village shrinks. On BZPower the Cult is often known as the Cult of Hapori Dume, and has appeared as a faction in all four games in the Mafia III series. Barraki A very uncommon name for the Mafia that has only appeared in Mafia VI: The Good Pyro. This was due to said game having two Mafia groups and taking place in Mahri Nui. To reference the location of the game being in Mahri Nui, one of the two Mafia Groups was the Barraki. Trivia For a time during the First Age the accepted plural of the term "Mafia" wasn't the standard "Mafian", but instead "Mafiso". By the time of the Second Age it was reverted back to "Mafian".1 point -

I feel bad for whoever had to do QA testing for this. "What do I do today, boss?" "Go to that flying level, collect all the collectibles five times over, and make sure you can die everywhere you should be able to. Also sometimes nothing happens when hitting the ice for the final time, could you narrow down the exact conditions which trigger that?"1 point -
Rock Racers Overhaul (WIP)
le717 reacted to Jimbob for a topic
Oh my apologies, I forgot that this mod's current release is a PatchIt! one, I don't think it has a manual install option. You should be able to download this mod and install it with >PatchIt! instead of having to recompile the game yourself, just make sure you follow the instructions in that topic carefully. Perhaps I should take this moment to say that unfortunately I lost all the Rock Racers files a few months ago. I can't remember if I've said this already, but my very old WinXP laptop which contained all the mod's data (among many other mods) randomly decided to stop booting up and finally kicked the bucket. I can of course continue this mod using the download in this topic, but it doesn't have all the organisation of my original setup, the original files I was working with, nor the updates I had started working on. Ah well, it's a minor blow that I can definitely recover from some day.1 point -
How to excersize your creativity when you have nothing to do
I Am Not Here reacted to Ben24x7 for a blog entry
Alright, let's say you are in some sort of situation or place and either feel you have nothing to do or are just bored, you can "excersize" your creativity. First of all, look for something that catches your eye. It could be furniture, architecture, etc. Now you've seen it, think of how you could recreate it in Lego Bricks, you don't really need a pile of bricks in front of you, just use your mind. It doesn't matter if you are thinking in terms of Minifig scale or real life scale, just as long as you are thinking how you can put together the object/room/etc, then you are at least using your creativity to think of not only how the bricks connect to make that fascinating shape you need to make, but also what works and what doesn't. And best of all, when you think up a Lego impossibility, you can rethink it without having to take time to deconstruct a real model. If you are done, and still have time, you could do it again but with a different object. I'm posting this up here because I don't think I can fit it into a Profile Feed. Still, I hope this is interesting to other people.1 point -

How to excersize your creativity when you have nothing to do
Ayliffe reacted to Ben24x7 for a blog entry
Right, well... *sigh* ...I've been keeping this secret for a while... ...I'm not who I say I am. I'm not a 14 year old male teenager that is Scottish, I'm a 1400 year old male Time Lord... ...that is Scottish. I've been flying through time in a Time Machine, cleverly disguised as a porta-potty, a prota-potty which is smaller on the inside, but with handlebars outside to hold onto. I've had companions, oh yes, companions come with me. Mr Pencil, Pen-ny and Ruberr to name a few. I've seen them come, I've seen them go, I've even seen some fall and burn in the Omega Parallel Time vortex, but I move on, with a new face to take the empty space. And hence I float through time and space, striving to take all signs of sanity out the past and into the present. My home being RRU, where I've been attempting to learn not only about humankind, but about how advanced humanity has gotten... ...which is the same as learning about humankind. ... Oh, to hell with it, I'm pulling your leg. ;)1 point -
