    LEGO Portal Racers

This seems to have gone mostly under the radar... I don't see any proper press releases, just brief mentions in a couple of recent articles. http://events.newegg.com/ces2015/intels-realsense-technology-will-make-you-a-star/ http://www.mediamarkt.nl/mcs/shop/intel-realsense.html Ran through Google Translate it reads: http://www.fastcompany.com/3040223/when-it-clicks-it-clicks

    BIONICLE Summer Sets Described (RUMOR)

So this was found on Eurobricks. Apparently someone got a good look at the summer BIONICLE sets and described them for us. This Eurobricks member also happens to be a reliable source for these things as well, according to some members. The rumored details of the new sets are below: 70791 Skull Warrior is a slender-looking guy with a big bow made from the big curved bonepieces that's also used in, for example Queen Beast 70792 Skull Slicer is also a rather slender guy, he doesnt have 4 legs but rather 4 arms, and swords in every hand! 70793 Skull Basher on the other hand is more bulky, with Purple horns on his head and brandishing som kind of big warhammer/battleaxe! 70794 Skull Scorpio is the only non-humanoid in this wave, hes got six legs and a big stinger. Imagine a scorpion made with ccbs and youll probably come pretty close. 70795 Mask Maker vs Skull Grinder: sadly, the mask maker doesn't seem to have a hammer nor the mask of creation. However it has to be ekimu as he has a gold/trans light blue color Scheme. He is seen jumping or falling down towards the bad guy, who is really intimidating. Big, kopaka-sized atleast with a black/trans red color scheme. Hes got two different weapons, an axe and a sword it looks like. Interesting is his torso, looking like its a mix of black and trans red done similarily to the Protectors' mask. RRU Minecraft Server

Referring to server mods, I would say the griefing reporter mod would have been one of the most beneficial mods we had on v1 (because believe or not, we've had griefing. ). It would help resolve the matter sooner, reprimand the offender, and restore Creative sooner (and possibly avoided that unnecessary week-long Creative ban caused by back of communication). I would say that even if no other mods were installed, if there is an alternative server software we can install that supports the/a griefing reporter mod, we should try to get that up. It would definitely help administer the server better. Jimbob, I know it may be hard for you to do, but another mod can help set it up that would be great (or we can beg Ace to return momentarily and do it for us ).

Keeping an Eye on LEGO's Future

Yep, and this is the case for a large number of LEGO consumers I'm sure, hence I like the idea of the project but don't see it as anything close to a physical LEGO alternative. Wait a minute... What's this?! GAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH

    My (First) Tablet

Earlier this year, my dad agreed to pay half the amount of a tablet of my choice if I pay for the other half. Fast forward a few months and I'm finally getting close to paying my half for a tablet. I decided to choose the NVIDIA Shield. I could buy it now if that's all that I was getting. But since it's a gaming tablet, why not get the controller and cover to go with it? The grand total is $400 ($300 for the tablet, $60 for the controller, and $40 for the cover). My dad's paying for half of the tablet and accessories, as well as the 2 year warranty and the stylus if I ever feel like doodling. I'm really excited about getting this and look forward to using it. The Shield was my first choice for a tablet because it's designed specifically for gaming, and even though I don't PC game that much, it still has a more powerful processor than most tablets, so it'd pretty much replace my laptop for most things (it has a more powerful processor than my laptop too). The screen size is nice, my ideal tablet screen size, and a built-in storage capacity of 16 GB is always nice to have, I'll probably end up giving it a 16 GB micro SD card for extra space. The stand also makes it easier to use for games, watching videos, and listening to music, and the fact that it has a controller to use with it is pretty cool. :)

    Sanister to Sinister fix

After digging around in the text files for a while, I have managed to successfully replace all instances of "Sanister" with "Sinister." No more of this "Sam Sanister" bologna. I tested it on my copy of the game, and it works fine. No luck in trying to change it to his original "Baron von Barron" as it takes up more space than a simple "a to i" switch. Oh well, a challenge for someone more talented in hex editing than I. http://oresome.rockraidersunited.com/download/198

Keeping an Eye on LEGO's Future

What's this?! GAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH While we're at it: DERP COMBO x3 ... arguably x4, as if you have so much Lego that you have to climb INTO the storage... you won't be complaining about having few bricks. Mind you, given that it's one entire room of a small shack then you probably do need to climb into it.

    RRU Minecraft Server

We can actually, but not as a mod of course. Just a texture pack, plus it doesn't have to be applied to the server overal, it could be client based. And yes, the server is 1.8. Awesome, and as someone that doesn't use texture packs ever I'd be glad to see it client side. ^^

    LEGO Portal Racers

Nice tech, but as Pereki said the specificity of the release platform is going to severely limit this game's audience. Although by the sounds of things the developers weren't going for a big hit anyway, more an experiment with technology. Even if I did have that device though I doubt I'd play the game, nodding my head to move a racer is just so much more clunky than using a simple joystick. Besides I don't like the thought of my brain swinging around my head when I haven't drunk enough water.

    LEGO Portal Racers

Looks like it might be a fun game, but don't know how well it will go over - the technology it requires is so new and specific that the audience that can play it is going to be limited. I'm interested in playing, but I'm not about to go out and buy a new laptop camera for it.

    Sam Von Barron

    From the album: Other

Baron stole everything Sam owned, his identity, his monocle, his clothes, and his hat. But Sam came back harder.

Alright, since no one seems to be adding you (and I asked if anyone had your Skype with no answers), what is your Skype name? You can reply in a PM if you like. Edit: Note to self, check profile fields before asking such things next time.

    BIONICLE RETURNING 2015

In other news, I continue to tinker with my Pohatu set to try and recreate the flipped torso of the original. Latest attempt: This endeavor has made me realise that this set doesn't have that many brown pieces in it. I had to leave a couple out because I couldn't fit them anywhere that looked good, and as a result of using the limb armor to create a pseudo-torso, there's a lot of exposed framework. Though at this point the model is so far removed from the primary set that I might as well substitute armor parts from a different set and call it an original character.

    BIONICLE RETURNING 2015

They actually work incredibly well, and shoot incredibly far, which is surprising given Bionicle's general track record with blasters (2007 and the latter half of 2008). In fact, they shoot so far and so well, that I still haven't found one of the 1x1 round plates I shot. (They provide an ample amount of extra pieces for exactly that reason.) Regarding how they fit into the LEGO/Technic system, they each have two holes in the back in which you can fit a Technic peg, the only requirement being that if you want to still fire them, you must be able to fit a Technic rod in the back.
