    BIONICLE RETURNING 2015

I got around to trying my hand at a more classic Pohatu, and ended up with the below result. It includes claw-like hands, a kicking leg function, and a more accurate core torso. It combines Pohatu and the Protector of Stone sets. Instructions coming soon. Additional Images:

From the album: Fred Cop Game/Film/Whatever Concept Art

This piece of Concept Art regards the Tutorial design, where the player does the simple task of Making Coffee while learning how to control Fred Cop and interact with objects. Originally I was planning to colour the enviroment but I really liked the style where the Player's Character and certain objects and NPCs would be in colour whilst the enviroment would be Black and White, making it easy to distinguish between the background/foreground with the player and items. Well, now you also know what the human Fred Cop looks like. If you wish to give suggestions or Feedback, please feel free to do so in the Comments Section below (if it is working properly), Thank you.

    BIONICLE RETURNING 2015

Is that... Iron Man fighting Skywarp? I want that comic now. Regarding the blatant trace-over, it's not unheard of for comic book artists to do that. Here's some more examples. http://jimsmash.blogspot.com/2008/02/david-mack-loves-tracing-paper.html http://jimsmash.blogspot.com/2008/02/renato-arlem-loves-john-buscema.html http://jimsmash.blogspot.com/2008/02/more-greg-land-ripoffs.html (possible NSFW) http://jimsmash.blogspot.com/2008/06/more-greg-land-tracing.html

It's looking a lot like the comic Jimbob scanned was concept work that some way or another made it to publication. Check this out:

    BIONICLE RETURNING 2015

I got the latest Club magazine issue today. I don't know why they still send me copies as I haven't renewed my subscription for a couple of years... Anyway, scans of lots of BIONICLE goodies can be found here. I noticed however that they don't have the mini 'Get the Mask' comic that my issue came with, and I couldn't find it anywhere else, so I've uploaded it for those of you without a Club Magazine subscription. 1 Front Cover 2 Tahu 3 Kopaka 4 Pohatu 5 Gali 6 Onua 7 Lewa - I noticed he has a different mask design and the protector's weapon is a bow, unlike the final releases? 8 Back Cover They're individually linked as I scanned them in at 600dpi, so they're pretty big... Also check out this guy who's made a Nui Rama using new BIONICLE parts. The

I love every single thing you just said, but how could you have forgotten Robo Riders? That theme suffers from major middle-child syndrome. Sandwiched right between Slizer and Bionicle, and overshadowed by both of them.

    Wdb Files (World/scene Layout)

Yes, it looks like that. The rotations in this files are stored with six floats. At first I had no idea, how that could represent a rotation. But now (without testing) I could imagine that these are numbers for two vectors and you have to calculate the third one yourselves via cross product. Then you have a rotation matrix. Just some thoughts.

    Adb/gdb/sdb (Animation/geometry/skeleton)

Just a small nibble (no post in here for two weeks!). There is no real light - so no real shadow. The insides are left away. The model was rebuild with the LDD.

I almost finished to research the .res files and .ft2 files, here is the struct of these files: the .ft2 files are the font files: // created by dniel888 endian big struct NFNT { char[4] chunkID; // "TNFN" dword dwVersion; // 3, if version = 2 then thereis no chunkID ("ROTV") byte[6] flags; // UNKNOWN (always zero?) dword dwSize; // Size of UNKNOWN dword dwNumChars; dword dwUnicodeTablesSize; float height; // height of char float baseLine; float spaceWidth; // 'space' key width dword dwSendID; dword dwIcGap; CharsMappingArray fontMapping; CharsIndexArray charsUnicodeTable; CharsImage fontImage; } struct CharsMappingArray { char[4] chunkID; // "ROTV" - only when version is 3 dword dwNumChars; for( int i=0;i< dwNumChars;++i) { float charX; float charY; float charWidth; } } struct CharsIndexArray { char[4] chunkID; // "ROTV" - only when version is 3 dword dwUnicodeTablesSize; for( int i=0;i< dwUnicodeTablesSize;++i) { word wUnicodeChar; // unicode char number word wFontMappingIndex; // Index of the char mapping from the image (except 'space' that uses the spaceWidth) } } struct CharsImage { char[4] chunkID; // "ROTV" - only when version is 3 dword dwZero; // 0x00000000 DDSImage fontImage; } dword dwChunkSize; dword dwVersion; // ? EDIT : added dword after the TreeObject array. sorry for my bad english.

I've finished revamping the lines for Doc, and I've also added some new versions of Achu, and also Workman Jon, after I noticed the line was slightly different. https://www.dropbox.com/s/pftr8v6o9mzzhle/OboeShoesLR2%202.zip?dl=0 Doc is generally louder and less tired sounding, though still 100% fake-British. Achu's line was a always a bit wonky, and hard to get a good delivery out of, so the 2 new ones I've included both have different inflections. Choose whichever one you want. Jon is essentially the same, just a bit more expressive and with a missing word added. I believe we're just waiting on a couple more. I'm looking forward to seeing it done.

I love you and I hate you brickkeeper. That is BEAUTIFUL. It's not exactly a fair comparison seeing as I was restricted to only using Pohatu's parts while he combined another set. But I agree, that blows mine out of the water.

Well I spawned on top of a hovering library thing when I joined in the first time. I also went to The End recently and when I returned it spawned me right in front of the green glass thing with "Obey the Paradox" on it.

    BIONICLE RETURNING 2015

Well, yeah, that definitely contributed to the forgetableness. I really wish they had continued the theme a bit longer, it was dropped almost as soon as they got it out the door. They're shaped like motorcycles. Also, what? Since when do sets have to be shaped like humans or animals? There are plenty of sets shaped like vaguely-defined robots or vehicles, some even stranger than these. Besides, the whole discussion was about the alien cyberpunk vibe that the 90s technic sets have, and these fit into that perfectly. I really want to argue about how these sets are awesome and you're wrong for not liking them but you know what, everyone's entitled to their opinion and if they're not appealing to you that's fine. Besides, this is a Bionicle thread and I don't want to get further off topic.

Just a friendly remind that you still need to do this. You too for recording your lines McJobless. Anyone who has not done their parts (see list of shame) at the end of the week, I will be putting up for grabs. I'm sorry but this dragging has been going on for far too long. If you need a week extension and know you will be able to do it, do say so. Fret not though, if/whenever you are ready to actually be serious and can do a recording, you can come back to challenge the person doing your previously claimed part at any time if you think you can do a better job. In other departments, does anyone want to help me with modifying the scripts to put the voices in game? I've got Sandy Bay done, I haven't done much past that yet. It's a simple task, yet a tedious non-entertaining one.
