I wish I had screenshots, but when I was a kid, I thought it would be neat to create a living hell out of LEGOLAND that would ensnare unsuspecting visitors and prevent them from leaving. It started with that Boating School, and lots of water. I got plenty of visitors to get on those boats. Once I had two boats on a narrow patch of water squares... I erased everything around that area, effectively trapping them in the boats forever. But that was just the start. I then built a fountain nearby and an ice cream vendor, allowing visitors to watch the scenic display of a group of idiots who couldn't get out of their boats. I put plants and lots of concrete around. Then I created a Driving School, and surrounded the area with roads. I created a massive labyrinth of roads that always had one or two squares in the center for the purpose of trapping MORE visitors. I deleted the crosswalks to trap them, even adding rides to keep them from getting bored so fast. I don't know why, but I felt like a genius who just loved to watch those poor Minifigures suffer in LEGOLAND. Combined with my love of shooting Rock Raiders with those mining turret lasers and surrounding my LOCO town with volcanoes and placing the little bunnies in the middle of the road, I think my childhood is messed up. Has anyone else tried anything similar?3 points -

I don't recall doing anything so dastardly in LOCO, but I do remember not putting gates in my fences in Zoo Tycoon 2, placing a zoo keeper in the fenced area with the animals (even tigers), and putting a park bench in the area for the keeper. I kept having issues with then walking out to sit on a bench and never getting their lazy bones up to their work, and for a while that was my most effective way to force then to do their jobs.3 points -

Emmet and his sister. Finn and his sister. Finn gets older, enters his dark ages, and Bricksburg becomes dystopian. Makes sense, if that's what they're going for.2 points -

Installer Not Working? You Can Salvage Your Game.
Starrocks923 reacted to Cyrem for a topic
A common problem with this game is that the game's installer will not run on newer systems. You may be able to get it to run by trying compatibility modes, ending programs or disabling UAC. However if all these efforts fail there is something you can do to save your game and be able to play it. Step 1 Download a program called 'Universal Extractor'. It has been uploaded here for your convenience. Then extract the contents of the zip file you've downloaded. Step 2 Insert your LEGO Rock Raiders disc and open the contents of the disc. Specifically you are looking for a file named 'data.cab' Step 3 Start up Universal extractor, browse and select the 'data.cab' file on your disc as the archive to extract. Set the destination directory to wherever you want the game. Step 4 Click 'ok' and wait until it has finished extracting. Step 5 In the disc you will see a folder named 'EXE'. Inside is an exe and icd file, copy these. Step 6 In the location you extracted the 'data.cab' paste those copied files and click 'yes' to overwriting. The reason for this is because the exe within the 'data.cab' file is for 16bit systems whereas the one in the 'EXE' folder is compatible with 32bit and 64bit systems. And that is all. You've manually installed the game and saved it. You can run the game by executing LegoRR.exe from the directory you've extracted everything. Note that this method can be used with many other games with which you are having the same issue. Additionally, if you feel inclined, you can make a new installer with programs such as InnoSetup.1 point -

Just a little quick sketch I whipped up to promote a project I'm working on. ARE YOU NOT INTRIGUED? I don't see why you would be. There's nothing about this image to suggest anything intriguing. But I guess that couldn't be helped. Oh sure, I COULD have posted something more informative but where's the fun in that? Also: Sorry I've been slacking, Nog! I'll get back to work I promise!1 point -

I once spent hours rendering the perfect LEGOLAND park in loving detail. There were a wide variety of attractions, plenty of food, and all of it well spaced out and easy to access. Everyone hated it and left the park without doing anything. Eventually they stopped coming altogether.1 point -

I shot arrows straight into a knight's eye in LCKK. I also pissed on an anthill once.1 point -

I've done an attempt at editing your voice to something I think fits well with the aliens: http://oresome.rockraidersunited.com/download/210 If it's good enough for you all, I can apply the effects to all the martian voices. Later I'm gonna try messing with the voices that you think are too similar. Haha. It's very difficult to emulate a female voice if you're male, even with editing, so leaving this job to our few female voice actors is the best solution. On the other hand, editing a female voice to make it sound from another person is very easy, so making many different voice timbres shouldn't be too hard.1 point -

I don't have much time to post before leaving for a day of airplanes and sleep deprivation, so I'll make this quick: I've noticed a general pattern of RRU folks just plainly taking half-amusing jokes/events/happenings and running them into the ground. Legos in Space (stop begging me to do it again) and the circlejerk that is the quotes topic come to mind. Once one member does/likes something suddenly everybody has to do/like it too, without realizing or considering what may have made it amusing in the first place or what was even actually joked about. Edit - Got a few moments in the hotel lobby, anyway this is what happens when a joke is pushed as usual except it's not only unfunny but dickish as well.1 point -
Xbox One Security Backdoor Exposed (And You Won't Believe How!)

What gets me is that they rewarded the boy (though what he did was "good" in the sense the issue is now fixed), but he was doing things he was not supposed to be doing. I wonder what the dad had to say about that.1 point -

I think the moral of the story is if you find a backdoor, you should exploit it to the point companies are buying you free games.1 point
