Post Your LEGO Libraries - Drill Master's Collection
Ben24x7 and 4 others reacted to Drill Master for a blog entry
So as McJobless asked, here is my LEGO collection. The Bricks: Sorry for the odd angle, took a vertical picture with my phone. The Games: Now, I'm going to say this right now. If I get any hate from this, I will leave RRU. That large bucket is a mix of LEGO and Mega Bloks. Will I sort it out? if I have time. yes. It's a thought that has been on my mind for a while. The Mega Bloks sets are old. I believe all that is in there are my 5 old "Pro Builder" sets: Fire Engine, Monster Truck, Rally Car, Jet, and Helicopter. I only collect the Mega Bloks Halo sets anymore, which don't get dismantled. They're just scattered all over my room. You can see in the cardboard box there, are most my minifigure pieces. Too many to count. The games image is the same I used for my awards, but there they are again. As far as what sets I have (or rather, had. most have been reduced to the bucket), you will have to give me some time to edit those in. One set that has stayed intact for the most part is the LEGO City Passenger Train, as you can see in the smaller bucket. That's pretty much all parts from that set in that bucket. Also is my first motorized set ever. Also, that is a 48x48 Base Plate at the end there. Well, there's the start to my collection anyway.5 points -

STUDZ and 3 others reacted to McJobless for a blog entry
I was going through, organising my room for college, and I found a lot of LEGO stuff that wasn't in my LEGO bag, so I decided to collect it all and take some pictures. Because of that, I think it's time we shared our LEGO collections for the fun of it, and so we all know who has what. Because I expect a lot of images and text, let's keep these to blog posts. I'll first post pictures of my actual LEGO stuff as it stands, and then post some screenies of what my entire set-listing should be. I had a LEGO-themed 18/19/20-th birthday (can't remember which), and so I've kept a lot of the (clean/unused) pieces including the popcorn boxes, cups, plates, cake decorations and (unpictured) wristbands. I have a LEGO Sorting Head and one of the lids from the big boxes of standard LEGO bricks. There's a bunch of Subject Book stickers from a LEGO magazine. I've lost everything except some of the parts and the board for the classic LEGO Board game, "Race to Build It". I bought that LEGO Movie sticker/activity book for the minifigure, and I got that Crazy Action Contraptions book as a present one year. Thankfully, it still has all its parts inside. Since I got both the Collector's Edition and the Special Edition of The LEGO Movie blu-ray, I kept the Collector's Edition but took all the goodies from the special edition (sticker book, vinyl cover) and added them to my Collector's Edition box, then gave the discs away to my college for the animation department. My Darth Vader alarm clock is weirdly enough something I use every day, and I've had that thing for 2+ years now. I have technically opened up the LEGO Club magazine package, but since it's the last one I ever got (somehow I received it while not even subscribed to them since I quit my subscription when they went to paid a while ago)I want to keep it in "decent" quality. Not pictured is my blue LEGO Racers 2 disc I got from another 3 Pack (blue discs and all racing-games this time instead of Yellow and all LEGO games). I'm missing the case of the original Bionicle movie. The Creator and Alpha Team discs are f****ed to hell, to the point that light shines through them. That 10-pack of LEGO games is mostly in Italian, and LEGO Island is German (kindly provided by one of the members here at RRU). All the minifigures (including the Limited Edition Vitruvius from the movie Collector's Edition box) are now part of my bricks collection, but I can confirm that I still have them in good quality. The Ultimate LEGO Book I bought upon reminiscing reading another copy from my local library, but the pages are falling out of the spine. Lots of banners here. I bought the Bad Cop flashlight, and I got the President Business one for my birthday. I haven't deconstructed the Sea Cow yet (thousands of parts takes a lot of time), but the box contains every single other set I had in my room which I've deconstructed in the past 72 hours, as well as bags of sorted parts from my previous attempts to organise my collection. You can also see an official RRU sticker! Thanks Cyrem! You might also see a (mostly destroyed) green LEGO Club sticker. I used to own a giant sticker board with lots of Bionicle and LEGO City stickers, but I threw it out when I found it taking up too much space in my room. You're looking at well over 10,000 parts sorted by colour in individual bags, locked in a draw until I can count them all and purchase replacements for the missing or broken ones. Blacks and Light Greys. You can see my Spybot, which no longer works due to rusted battery springs and (probably) damaged internals. At least all the peg holes are in working order and the battery cover is still there. I even have the remote and the serial cable (in another bag). The brown box contains minfigure torsos and legs that need to be shuffled around to their correct order, as well as heads that are too faded for use and other LEGO parts that need sorting. The blue box contains broken parts which I use for animation purposes. The pen is still in my bag somewhere. I swear I'm missing a white 1x1 plate, but I won't know for sure until I finish up counting all the bricks. I guess I must have lost or traded in my LEGO Stars II PS2 disc, but I still have the guidebook (which I bought as a talking point for my cousin and I) and the PSP version my friend gave me. The batman mask was from EB Expo, and does contain an image of Batman's mask on the opposite side. Now that we've seen the images, let me show you my set list: Rebrickable - McJobless Sets In total, that's (an estimated, there may still be old sets I haven't figured out based on what parts I have) 113 sets, with around 30,000 parts. Unfortunately, I've lost some stuff as well, including: LEGO Club Australia Wristband (a red rubber wristband with studs on it, given out with one of the magazines) One LEGO magazine from the 90s, and then every LEGO Club Australia magazine from 2001 - 2010 (thrown out, destroyed and generally mistreated) LEGO Bioncle Alarm Clock LEGO Toa Tahu Nuva Wristwatch LEGO Island Xtreme Stunts, LEGO Rock Raiders discs (Yellow, part of a 3-disc multi pack) LEGO Star Wars, LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy PS2 discs Every piece except for a hand (x303c01, black) and a limb (x313c01, black) from the Galidor Gorm set (8311-1) Pretty much almost all of the boxes and over half of the instruction manuals to the sets4 points -

I Am Not Here and 2 others reacted to Sadie Meowsalot for a topic
Thomas Warming (illustrator for the Time Cruisers boardgame) sent me some things recently. Among them are some sketches for some of the boardgame cards, and some conceptual drawings of a LEGO restaurant he designed. Time Cruisers boardgame card sketches: LEGO Palace Restaurant: "I also did a lot of concept development for lego in the 1990's for Lego Futura. All the work I did for lego was through a danish advertising agency called Courage except for the concept work, which was direct. I also did concept design but that was done in a lego-look meaning cars and stuff but they wanted me to draw it so it looked like real cars and not lego - that way they could focus on elements they liked and try to convert that into the lego-look so all that stuff is not really lego work unless you know. Sadly back in the day all original material was owned by the agency or Lego and not the artist."-Thomas Warming3 points -

Drome Racers in-game-only models in LDD
dromestars and one other reacted to Toa_Of_Justice for a topic
You're welcome. I think LDD is amazing too. Ever since the beta version came out I've been using it very much! That makes sense to me. Thanks for clearing that up. Now I understand why you joined the rear wheels. I fixed two points of the steering rod to my chassis as well. I made two versions of the Tremor. The first was made with a more accurately shaped front end, and the second with a more creative front end, whose shape is somewhat inspired by your version. Both versions have some minor differences from the official in-game model (which were needed for stability, appearance, and buildability). Click any image to see a larger one. Version 1 Color variants (all possible to build in real life): LXF File Version 2 Color variants (all possible to build in real life): Black Blue Brown Gray Green Lime Medium Orange Orange Red Silver Tan Yellow (I would have inserted thumbnails like before, but I got the message "Sorry, but you have posted more images than you are allowed to." Rather than double post, I just made text links.) LXF File jamesster, please post screenshots of the Hornet whenever you get a chance.2 points -
TUN/PCM Converter
bartvbl reacted to grappigegovert for a topic
2021 Edit: FFmpeg has added support for LEGO Racers' tun and pcm files as of version 4.4. I advise everyone to use that instead of this program as this program isn't 100% correct. Thanks to mumboking for bringing this to my attention. Original post: Although I had already posted my ima2tun program >here, I've decided that a separate topic might be more easy to find. This zip file contains my ima2tun program tunconverter, SoX, and some handy-dandy batch files that do all the command-line work. To convert any* music file to .TUN/PCM, simply drag it onto the 'to-tun' batch file. It then creates a .tun file with the same name in the same folder. It's also possible to drag a .tun/.pcm file onto the 'from-tun or pcm' batch file to convert it to .ogg (filetype be changed in the batch file) Changelog: TUN files have a fixed sample rate of 22050Hz, but PCM files can have any sample rate. The number of channels in a TUN/PCM file is either 1 or 2. Preview: (old version) Download: http://oresome.rockraidersunited.com/download/346 Note: This download includes a copy of SoX 14.4.2, also available at http://sox.sourceforge.net/. The source code is available at https://gist.github.com/grappigegovert/4cc9424351f8f8998a62a926ccf20b01 O.T.: Is GameIntr.tun used in the game?1 point -
Stunt Rally Beta Disk And Screenshots!
Toa_Of_Justice reacted to lol username for a topic
I already posted a topic for this on BZP, so I'll just copy and paste it to here to save time... Found some beta screenshots of LEGO Stunt Rally on the internet today. The ones you see here are not all of them, there are many more. However, they contain a website address that isn't exactly appropriate so I have to edit it out by hand (Explaining the black box in the upper left corner). I will do the rest later. But here are 3 to start with: Notice the different icon on Radium's truck in that last one... Now, the topic title also said beta DISK. After a Google search, it seems that some museum in New York has one on display... http://www.museumofplay.org/collections/on...amp;o=109.16767 Not sure if the screenshots are from the same build as the one on the disk. But even so, they are both very interesting. Now, I wonder if it is possible to somehow purchase this disk from the museum, or get access to it long enough to get gameplay? (This is starting to sound like the Legend of Mata Nui Videos topic in the Bionicle Software forum, and I haven't even hit the "Post New Topic" button yet... ) So yeah, discuss this here. I'll get more edited screens up soon (Hopefully tomorrow or the next day). Also, if anybody has ideas on how to somehow gain access to this disk, post them here.1 point -
Drome Racers in-game-only models in LDD
ticketstoloservile reacted to Toa_Of_Justice for a topic
Since it's now the story year of Drome Racers, 2015, I decided to play the game again. (It works great on my Windows 8.1 x64 PC with an Xbox One Controller for Windows!) Then I wondered whether anyone ever made the in-game-only vehicles. >Someone else on here asked that question, and I gladly registered in order to see the answers. Unfortunately, I didn't see any rendition of the Torq Racer, so I made one in LDD. As time allows, I plan to re-create these models from Drome Racers in LDD, in this order: Pulse Concept (finished--see >this post; reference screenshots; old MLCAD model) Cow (finished--see >this post and >this post; built per MaelstromIslander's request) Dune Striker (finished--see >this post; reference screenshots) Stealth Roadster (finished--see >this post and >this post; reference screenshots) Tremor (finished--see >this post; reference screenshots) Hornet (finished--see> this post by MvdL95 and >this post by me; reference screenshots) Tsunami Street (finished--see >this post; reference screenshots) If the model you're looking for isn't listed above, chances are it was released as an official model or official alternate model in the summer of 2002. Feel free to use my reference screenshots to make your own renderings and/or real-life models of the in-game-only Drome Racers models. I plan to build one (and only one) of those models in real life. As for which model and which color... that's up to you! You may select the model in the poll above. After I have posted all the renderings, I'll announce the winner from the poll. (In the event of a tie, I'll either add a tiebreaker poll question, or if that's not possible, I'll decide the winner myself.) Next, I'll see which colors I can make the winning model in, based on available parts (I won't paint elements if they're not available in a certain color). Then I'll either add a poll question for the color or decide on the color myself. Finally, I'll post a link to a separate topic for the real-life model. EDIT: I thought I made a poll, but it seems to have disappeared. Please post or PM me your votes, or I can just count the thanks/likes per model. Thank you. EDIT 3/8/2015: In accordance with >this post, I have decided to build the Hornet in Metallic Green. Here it is. Without further ado, here is the Torq Racer! I wanted to use flexible axles (like the model in the game) rather than flexible cables, but due to limitations in LDD, I had to choose the latter. Rest assured that if this model gets built in real life, I'll use flexible axles. I'm not too sure about how the steering mechanism is supposed to be built, so I would appreciate any suggestions. Click any image for a larger one, click here to download the LXF File, or click here for my reference screenshots. Color Variations: All of these, including the white one above (but not the green one) are possible to build in real life according to Peeron.1 point -

I have been playing around with the idea of "Rock Raider Trains" for a long time now, and, well, finally made something from it. It's not very original, basically I took the small transport truck and put it on rails. Removed the bucket, and put another front on the back (so it can go both ways). Also put the seat on a turntable to face whatever direction you are going and replaced the steering wheel (since who needs to steer a train?) with a lever that simply tells the cab which way to roll. Put little clasps on to attach more cars. And POW new vehicle. I included a laser car as an example. The laser is pulled off of the SMLC (sort of, IDK how the actual laser part is attached to I improvised that part) and put on a train car, yeah. I plan to make more cars for different, specialized purposes. Feel free to suggest one. Currently plan on doing: -Freight car, with buckets to carry ore and HOPEFULLY a dumping function -passenger car, to carry additional Raiders -Drill car, that attaches to FRONT of vehicle to be pushed against walls. -Small vehicle transport car ...yeah.
