    The (slightly disturbing) Running Man

*Topic Bumper-car* I have regretted to do this, but it must also be done. I don't care if I have to Double Post to show the world what I've created. I don't care if I am killed by a mob of disturbed RRU Members. I MUST show this to you...

Art Battle 2: A Rude Awakening

Same 'ere, I've always liked this topic and even though I'm not the most active person in it (one image and counting, peoples ), I really would like to see this back up and running again with me maybe contributing a bit more, but I'm not sure that it's working in it's current state. So here are two suggestions from me to improve the art battle: RENAME IT TO SOMETHING LESS BATTLE-Y: I've mentioned this a couple of times in various status updates, but one of the side-effects of naming this topic an "Art Battle" is that it always ends in us all trying to smash each other in the face in a giant battle, and that does start to get boring after a while just fighting for no real reason. So after doing some very complicated and puzzling maths, I worked out that if we renamed the topic to something without the word "Battle", then the amount of battling would decrease by 2000%. Maybe we could rename it to "Artventure" or something similar? PUT UP A SIGN-UP PERIOD BEFOREHAND: Instead of letting people just join in during the middle of a battle, maybe we should have a sign-up period beforehand (you know, like the ones for UHC on the Minecraft server) so we know exactly who is taking part in each battle to avoid any newly-joined members from the LMBs just showing up, massacring everyone in one single move and then declaring themselves the winner. Anybody up for that? Other than those two suggestions, I do also agree that we should start this all over again, except not with the sole intention of smashing eachothers faces in. EDIT: 'Tis my 160th post. Yay.

Drome Racers in-game-only models in LDD

@jamesster: I understand now, thank you. And now, here is the final LDD model I have planned for this project--the Tsunami Street! Click any image for a larger version. Color variants (all possible to build in real life): LXF File

It replaces complete blackness with transparency, which doesn't work so well with this piece in the texture:

    Fetch! game

IN GENERAL Well, it's an arcade game, I guess. Furthermore, it's cross-platform arcade game. However, I'm still working on Linux game executable. I maked it to waste my time until my internet connection will restored. The conception of it was really simple - fetch or die. Now it works the same as Taiko! mode in osu! (Or at least with similar parts). DESCRIPTION There is a thing called Fetcher. Secretly, Fetcher hates the Particles (Tiny white squares, which always falling down), while Particles hates Fetcher. You should help Fetcher by moving it to catch Particles, which are falling down. During this mission you can listen to your favorite song by turning on sounds in the Settings. When the number of gathered Particles becomes equal to 30, you'll automatically moved to status room and your score will be saved into the Highscore. ADDITIONALLY To move Fetcher you should click either on A, D or left & right arrows. To switch between menu buttons, use a pointer (Not data type, but this pointer). There is also a one necessary thing - custom soundtracks. To turn on both soundtrack and sounds in the game, just go the Settings->Sounds and select On (Then you'll see a window to select MP3 file). SCREENSHOTS VIDEO https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phYtWYBlfeo&list=UUmCFsFwUvZYU8-PDQfpzxmw DOWNLOAD Actually, it works only on Windows at the moment, but I'm going to make a Linux version with even more features later. Art Battle 2: A Rude Awakening

I don't even know. Pass it to Swedish. In response to the question about programs, I use SAI along with a graphics tablet. I've been ironing out the rules a bit, so here's some clarification on a few aspects. About passing and intercepting- When a player has been passed to, they can either post the next drawing or choose to 'decline.' if the player declines, they lose 1 point. if the player successfully posts the next image, they gain 2 points. However, if the player does not decline and another player posts an image before them, then they lose half their points to the player that intercepted them. If the player that was intercepted has an odd number of points, then the smaller half is stolen, unless the player only has 1 point in which case their only point is stolen. If you feel you won't be able to finish an image in time, it might be wise to decline a pass. You can pass to members that are not in the game yet, however since these members have no points they do not lose any if they decline or are intercepted. They do, however, still gain 2 points if an image is posted. In each round, the players will be working towards a goal. Whoever has successfully completed the goal by the end of the game earns an extra 10 points. In this case, the goal is to possess the thunder, so whoever has the thunder at the end of the game receives the bonus. The game ends when it is impossible to proceed with the story or when it has reached a satisfying conclusion. Now that that's all said, I feel like adding up the points so far. img 01 - Fush - 1 point img 02 - Ben - 1 point img 03 - Ayliffe - 1 point img 04 - Fush - 1 point (2 total) img 05 - JAL - 1 point img 06 - Swedish - 1 point img 07 - Ben - 1 point (2 total) - Pass to Arth img 08 - Fush - 1 point (3 total) img 09 - Noghiri - 1 point img 10 - Arth - 1 point - Pass to Swedish img 11 - Mael - Interception, 1 point stolen from Swedish img 12 - Grappi - 1 point img 13 - Noghiri - 1 point (2 total) - Pass to Fush img 14 - Prof - Interception, 1 point stolen from Fush img 15 - Noghiri - 1 point (3 total) img 16 - Ben - 1 point (3 total) img 17 - Swedish - 1 point img 18 - Mael - 1 point (2 total) img 19 - Fush - 1 point (3 total) Totals 3 - Fush 3 - Ben 3 - Noghiri 2 - Mael 1 - Ayliffe 1 - JAL 1 - Swedish 1 - Arth 1 - Grappi 1 - Prof I hope I didn't miss anything >_>

In response to the questions posed up above, I use Photoshop CS5/CS6, ProCreate, Photoshop Touch, Autodesk Sketch, and an iPad as a stand-in for a drawing tablet (Though I do hope to get one in the future.)

Art Battle 2: A Rude Awakening

Since Ben said, that I should do a picture, I thought "Let's do at least one picture for this thread (and then forget to make another picture ^^)... ...let's see: Oh, Ayliffe forgot the other sack with Johnny Thunder". Apparently Johnny already escaped in another picture, but since it took me a while to make it, he is still trapped in my universe . Hmm, who should do the next picture? Since I have the impression, that the story has already split up in ~four different story lines, I would say, that the next user has a free choice^^. Okay, let's just say: Someswedish.

LEGO Digital Designer Animusic Video Project

If you understand what the title says, you may understand what I'm doing. If not, here's more to enlighten you. Animusic is a series of CGI music videos that are amazingly crafted. Here are a few of them for reference. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hyCIpKAIFyo&list=PLAE7974A68AC62B47 One of my favorites is Resonant Chamber: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=toXNVbvFXyk&list=UUZVCuKveehUdmu5PV2p59VA So those should give you an idea of what I'm doing. I plan to make an Animusic style video using LDD. Here is a short rough preview that I've done. (It's sloppy and there isn't much to show, but we all have to start somewhere.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vx2TuQrFkX4&list=UUs1DSJ0v8SKMlXvxf9lA7nQ I can definitely clean it up, I just wanted to show something for this idea. Now, here's a catch. I will not work on this unless it gets a lot of feedback. That small animation took a long time to make, and that alone was only a few seconds x3 to make the video. It is a serious project that I will only work on maybe 1 or 2 days a week if that, but I will be working on it, as long as I keep seeing a benefit towards doing it. That's where you come guys come in. Please leave a vote above for what you think of this project and leave comments of what you think in detail. in a few days, I'll check the votes and see what happens to the project from there. If you want to help, I could use help building rigs to work with in the video. Rigs must have the proper posing elements (for instance my bell rig, the hammers move back and forth and the bells sway when struck.) If you have a rig built, please post a picture of it here along with the LDD file download. So, read through, vote, comment, and let me know what you think.
