Maybe it's just me, but I find that having a sidebar which displays newest topics instead of newest posts to seriously reduce the ease of use of the site. Having an instantly-accessible list of most recently edited topics is handy - seeing if any new ones have been created, while handy, is much less so.

THE INFOMANIAC IS HERE! Unfortunately, the only related things I could get to were a red 2x4 and a red cup. I don't own any green 2x4s. I am happy now! I definitely agree on that. I'd just had hoped that Cyrem thought the same and would get around to changing it eventually, just like how everything else is going slowly on the site.

The "fish ship" (as Cedric calls it in some unused LI2 dialogue) appeared in that web game/comic (Brickster the Space Pirate), LEGO Island 2, and in Soccer Mania (in a cutscene where the Brickster blasts off from his volcano base). I'm not sure if the design varied between LI2 and Soccer Mania (the web game one is obviously very stylized), but you could probably just go for something with the general design and it'd be fine. Oh, probably not an intentional homage, but this was one of the models built at NetDevil (LU devs):
