    Mafia: The Game

What a strange turn this story had taken. Dr. Hashbaz, the clinic's appointed supervisor, had revealed his position to the recruits- even knowing that doing so put him at risk. But he revealed something a bit more unusual as well... a psychic gift. Not everyone believed him, but it was enough to sway the vote... just barely. And so it was decided that the blame for Xiron's death would fall on Parker. It wasn't a unanimous decision, no- the group was split. THe ones not swayed by Hashbaz's vision found his behavior suspicious and believed him to be at fault- but they reluctantly faltered to the majority. Not knowing what else to do, Parker was thrown into the same pit as Xiron's body. An ironic death... Infected by your target, succumbing to the same disease you used to take the life of another... Parker's possessions were searched, and the stolen vials found. The outbreak was contained, and everyone was set free. Dr. Hashbaz went back to his work with the clinic, putting the entire ordeal behind him almost as though it had not happened at all. His visions still haunted him, though... Seaborgium, the undercover cop, reported back to his superiors about the events that had taken place. The mountain of paperwork that ensued took months to fill out... The clinic shut down it's training program for the time being. The recruits that had applied were sent home, and more strict screening measures were instated to prevent this from happening again. Everything was back to normal. Or was it? Something tugged at the back of Dr. Hashbaz's mind... something had been forgotten... On a shelf deep within the rows that lines the complex, one spot stood empty. RESULTS Xiron and MaelstromIslander met in limbo. Each had killed the other in a different life... there was still some anger between them. But they considered themselves even. And so, they departed for the next life... as equals.

Classic LEGO Games Ported to Garry's Mod/SFM

I was chatting with PeabodySam and: 3:39 PM - PeabodySam: Speaking of which, thanks to Xiron's model pack, GMod now has a ton of LEGO characters... 3:39 PM - PeabodySam: ... and the Darkitect is not among them. 3:39 PM - PeabodySam: So I'm tempted to make my Spy!Darkitect standing with minifig!Bob and minifig!Johnny looking rather jealous. I've got nothing to do today so I exported the Darkitect meshes from a cutscene's nif (that one cutscene being only place he actually appeared in-game in LU). His hat and cape were part of the same mesh as his body, so I separated them into their own groups and deleted the body (which had some weird stuff going on with the face geometry, and you've got minifigs already), and cleaned them up a bit, along with his staff. https://www.dropbox.com/s/hnr7a5oei5zww7h/Darkitect accessories.zip?dl=0 "darkitect_staff" is just the staff as it came straight from being exported. "better darkitect staff" is cleaned up slightly - stuff welded together, and some hidden polygons removed. The secondary versions of the objs had "smoothing exported per group" - aka there's an extra line that says "s 1" right after each group is defined. Probably won't make a difference, but some 3D editors are picky and I don't know what the workflow of getting something into gmod is like, so I just included with and without them in case those little lines somehow make something throw up. I imagine the cape will have to be rigged, and both the cape and hat given better origin points (they currently hover where they were when part of the Darkitect's mesh), everything given proper materials, etc.

    Mafia: The Game

That was fun! The poor Mafia can't seem to make homicide pay. I rather enjoy your writing style, Fushi. Here's to the next game!

Which LEGO Island game is your favorite?

I might like to see this, if only to prove a point. I talked over it with Oboe Shoes earlier (minus the scripting part). It may just become a thing after LR2 Voiced Scripts is done.

Which LEGO Island game is your favorite?

And theres one reason why LEGO Island 2 was awful compared to LEGO Island 1: Wes wanted a toy with gaming features. The nitwits at Silicon Dreams wanted to make Minigames: The Video Game *NOW WITH EXTRA MINIGAMES!* You've completely lost the point. I look at old things from the mind of a child back in those days. And as i played LEGO Island i can say its amazing, and can still be enjoyable at this time. Its not like they had a lot to work with back in 1997, especially when 3D was first getting developed. You're asking for pacman to have the graphics Halo 5.

Heyo and have another track! This time I give you a change of scenery. I went into the Dance/Electronic genre with Move. It just came to me last night. Just trying to expand and branch out to other styles and see what I come up with. Hope you enjoy it! (PSSST! Fush did the artwork! )

    LEGO Worlds News And Discussion

about being reused basicly not only do they reuse dna but they've stolen ideas from various parts of the classic lego games let me explain studs are stolen from lixs power bricks rip are a stolen idea of lego island gold bricks are a stolen idea of lr2 free play is a stolen idea from legoland > IXS doesn't have studs as collectibles. > Worlds doesn't have any power bricks that we know of (and LI only had one, which isn't accessible to the player) > There have been gold bricks in quite a few of the old lego games, and nearly all of the games since 2005. > Nearly every lego game, old and new, has some kind of free play. Heck, most games in general have free play. > How exactly can Lego 'steal' an idea from themselves?

    LEGO Worlds News And Discussion

"Thanks to jamesster for the news." Kinda ironic how you're posting on RRU a link to a blog of which all the information was provided by you... Warning: Excessive cynicism. I'm not hyped for this. I was interested in Lego Dimensions, but they turned that into a money-making venture and it doesn't even have a PC port (probably because it'd be hacked really easily ). And it's TT. I've made one too many rants on the subject of TT games, but I shall dump this here: clicky clicky. I'm not so interested in the combat system, something which TT has repeatedly failed at over the years, but of the glitches. LI was fun because it glitched, didn't have any automatic killboxes, but didn't crash. LTH (Lego The Hobbit) wasn't fun because it glitched, had automatic killboxes, and more than its far share of crashed. (It crashes on the TT INTRO CUTSCENE. How is that possible?!) Furthermore, what's WB got to do with anything here? My only guess is they're here for a) the money-laundering (like LD), b) licensed figures, or c), both. As much as I would like option B, I suspect it's C. Alas, Lego IMAO has been pushing its licensed themes too far and being unable to create anything much that's new. What else would WB be doing in this/ Also, why is everybody drawing similarities to Lego Creator and saying "Ooh goody, a modern version?" I don't want a game with OP dynamite that destroys THE GROUND (baseplates) and everything you've done! I don't want a game that refuses to run on the holy grail of old Lego game OS's: XP. I don't want a game that corrupts saved level files (cough, LC:KK, cough)! Now you'll say "Oh, but this'll fix those bugs: it's a new release!" Uh uh. Unfortunately, this is TT. TT likes bugs. TT likes crashing your game in the intro cutscene. TT likes making one level utterly unplayable. While a full Lego Creator would be something good, I doubt three things: 1) Whether it's feasible. LDD doesn't like large models (okay) and TT goes for "quantity over quality." Or "quantity over bug-free-ness," for that matter. 2) Whether TT would bother doing it. Why create another sandbox game when there's so many classic titles out there on the market? Okay, it's Lego, but if you want to do stuff with Lego nip out to the shop and buy a $10 Lego set. Far easier and better: see next point. 3) Whether the bugginess would be small enough to be playable. Going to point #2, a Lego set out of the shop won't crash and delete your save files, won't corrupt your wallpaper on doing so (unlike LTH which got rid of my desktop background), won't have functions that don't work as intended (unless you get something with flick missiles), won't have things that are just utterly boring but necessary to proceed... and so on. My review on LTH covered most of them, and LLoTR wasn't any better except it crashed slightly less of the time. (Yes, I know Bionicle Heroes is a TT game I've laudated, but the reason for it being a good game was a) it wasn't licensed and b) the devs needed to get only 7 characters playable, enabling them to spend more time on enemy models and more importantly, worlds and enemy behaviour.) That said, I'm not going to ignore this completely: I will watch to see if this is the game to redeem all other TT games, but in my mind that probability is ridiculously low and it'll be absolutely buggy. (Remind me, when was the last time TT released a bug patch- oh wait, they never did). ~~~~ This has been your daily rant for the day, proudly brought to you by Grammar-Nazis Inc. ~~~~ EDIT: YOU WILL SHOW TILDES WHEN I WANT YOU TO YOU SILLY EDITOR
