    GeoTool

Surprise update! I dropped this for a while when one of the graphics libraries I use for it stopped working. But now I need a break from my other project, and I've learned a lot since last year, so it was a good time to finally get this update taken care of. Here it is, GeoTool Alpha 2. I meant to just go straight to beta once all the new features were done, but there was a pretty terrible bug in Alpha 1 that I missed. I was enabling OpenGL3's 'forward compatibility mode', which made it incompatible with its own shaders. Not sure how it even worked at all for some of us. But I turned that off and also updated the shaders to GL3, so hopefully no more shader problems now (as long as you don't have a really old video card). GeoTool can finally edit maps now, not just view them. An old GIF of terrain editing (I don't have video recording software on Windows, sorry): Not everything is finished yet in this version, but it can edit and save SURF and HIGH maps. Let me know if you find more bugs -- there's probably plenty of them. I'll update the main post tomorrow(ish).

Hi everyone, sorry for the long absence. @jamesster: The short version of the story is that IG didn't have the manpower in house to do both the PC and PlayStation version. We started working on both simultaneously, but after some time progress on the PS version fell behind, and the job of creating that version was given to another studio (I don't recall which studio). The screenshots that surfaced are from that version, so that studio got further than IG did on the PS version, but I don't know any more than that. @JHUYSER: If I recall correctly, LEGO media just sent us a crate with LEGO (we also had some from the development of Loco). I don't recall seeing any specific LEGO sets (other than the prototype sets they sent us to include in the game).

Retro LEGO Comics/Storybooks/Animated Cartoons General Discussion

Okay, just a heads up that everything's done and you can read the whole comic now at your leisure. Only hiccup is that page 29 was missing from the layouts, so I had to substitute the manuscript copy which doesn't look nearly as pretty.

Unlocking props by default, unused props

Props are specified in the various files under STUFF\TERRAFORM\PROPS. INDEX.TXT tells the game which of the surrounding text files to use - at the moment, CITY.TXT and FRIENDS.TXT (and some others) are set to "DebugOnly" in INDEX.TXT; remove that and you can use them. Then, inside those files, for a prop you want access to, add this at the end of its definition: SetFlag = #DefaultCollect Some of the (currently unused) City and Friends props already have this enabled. Edit:

"Playable by fruit" has surpassed "cow car" and "testercall" as most hilarious things done by LEGO game devs. Stunt Rally really has made its place in history.

@Pereki: No, I'd never seen the punk minifig, but you're right, his design was probably inspired by "our" punk. @MaelstromIslander: The name change came from LEGO, and I don't recall the reason they wanted to change it. @Jamesster: Yeah, I don't know why we didn't put Eamon the skeleton (I seem to recall all the skeletons in Loco were called Eamon?) in LSR...

    Stunt Rally Rf Tool V1.1

Well I think a good two year wait was long enough I've released v1.1, which now decompresses the files when they're extracted! DL in OP. No archive builder yet because there is a part of the format I'm not sure about yet. Ehhh, I didn't test the re-write on the demo...
