So... i have turned 22 this year, and i have been meaning to make this blog entry for a while, but i have as usual been too lazy to do so until now But anyway, nothing serious has happened or anything, just want to write down my thoughts experience in this site after all this time here. Before i joined RRU, i didn't really have many actual friends in the beginning, i was in groups and stuff before, but i never really found myself comfortable in the groups i found myself in, i didn't really feel like i could be myself and be honest with the people i used to call my friends. but despite that i did find myself enjoying the time i spent with these different groups for a while. One group that i remember especially was a group of Super Mario fans who almost all where interested in making Mario 64 machinimas, they where mostly young kids, with the exception with the leader of the group who was an adult who acted like a child, both in good ways and in bad ways, the group would always end up in some kind of fight or drama between two or three people, they would leave the group until they either regret their decisions or someone convinces them to come back, even the leader would lose their temper and get into a fight themselves. I often found myself trying to help the people in the groups get along after the fights or try to keep the peace, and i was generally liked by the group for this, i think the problem was that everybody was more interested in what they liked and thought, so when someone says something someone else disagrees in, it would usually end up in arguments, and as i spent more time with then i slowly and slowly grew sick of them, they're not bad people, just incredibly immature and childish which wouldn't be a surprise for kids around 10-13 or so. But one day i decided that enough was enough and went to leave the group and go somewhere else, and that was when i decided to join RRU. Compared to the last group, this community was like the promised land or something similar. People here where not only nice, but mature and well capable of reason, i could be myself and honest within this group, and if there ever was a argument, it would be done maturely without it turning into a childish fight. I love it here on this site, comparing this group with the one i was in previously was simply not possible, you guys are amazing and i am glad to be part of this site too. I want to especially thank the members: Arthuriel, Xiron, RobExplorien, Ben24x7, Ayliffe for being such good friends. Anyway, that's all and thanks for reading.

Insectoids being enemies to Rock Raiders was an old rumor started by Lugnet the year after that book came out. I have it, and it says absolutely nothing about that.

The idea of Seatron eventually became Aquazone, which was very much its own thing, separate from Space (though it was intended to be on an alien planet, that idea often wasn't presented clearly, sometimes even ignored - like, there's magazine comics with Aquazone and Town/Divers crossovers). In the mid/late 90s LEGO started drifting away from the model of having ongoing themes with different factions anyway (with themes like Adventurers and Rock Raiders). By 2001 that model was gone entirely, and ever since then all themes have had more individual personality (Alien Conquest was just an alien invasion of a city). Power Miners was very much its own thing, but is often compared directly to Rock Raiders, which goes to show just how ultimately inconsequential it is that Rock Raiders technically takes place on another planet. Rock Raiders was just one of the first standalone themes like that, and now they're the norm.

The confusion comes from some possibly alien Rock Raiders in a piece of concept art in there. They don't look like Insectoids/Zotaxians though, and they aren't antagonizing the other raiders.

Guys, finally here is the afaik first custom test track. I know there is a lot of work to do, but I would like to ask you to test the version 0.1. I did not edit the wdb files for now. You have to unpack the archive into your TEST folder; don't forget to make a backup before. I hope I did not forget anything (feedback would be good! Thanks).

Hey, here's a new track for you! It's a Chiptune/Orchestral/Metal loop (ends at 1:47), and it's inspired by UNDERTALE. Undertale is truly an inspiring game, and its soundtrack is even more from a composer's point of view. So... Enjoy!

I am bored. That is an eloquent fact. Tomorrow I have a week or so of volunteering at BRICK 2015, and then it'll be christmas time and I won't have access to my darling desktop due to the tree being placed directly in front of it. However, before then I have a sincere lack of things to do with my time. To make up for this absence of things, I'm making this quick contest for no real reason other than "lol i have nothing to do". SO WHATS THE CONTEST ABOUT THEN, I hear you cry? Well, it's pretty simple as far as contests go. Below this wall of text there will be a simple image, which you, the dear reader, will have to edit and customize to your heart's content. Boot up your image editing programs, whip out yer pencils and get to work doing whatever you like to the image! As long as the images are SFW (basically no naughty x-rated pictures or r34 things) then it's all fine. Draw on it! Add text in the speech bubble! Write "LU 2 CONFIRMEDDDD!!!1!" all over it with your own blood (okay, maybe not that last one)! The whole point of this is to just do whatever the frig you like with this image, so go and do that. WHAT'S THE IMAGE THEN, you may shout? It's this one right here: I'd recommend keeping the image at this aspect ratio, but I'm not fussed if you don't. HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO DO THE THINGS, you may scream at the top of your lungs. To answer that, I'm giving you exactly two weeks to do this. This means the the contest will end at Midday GMT on 22nd December 2015, unless hardly anyone enters then I'll just extend the time by another week or so. Voting for the winner will start the following day (I'll discuss how this will work nearer the time). HOW MANY ENTRIES CAN I SUBMIT, you may also scream. To keep things fair, you can only submit a maximum of 3 entries per member. This doesn't mean that you HAVE to do three, but it means that you can't do any more than 3. ARE THERE ANY PRIZES, I hear you shout. Well, not really. I may produce a small "I won this thing" image for the winner to shove on their profile, but other that this contest is mainly just for fun. If you're feeling generous enough to submit a prize for this, shoot me a PM and we'll talk things over (don't skype me though, I probably won't be able to access skype until after christmas because the iOS app is utter rubbish). It was always included. When I made the poll I explicitly remember putting insectoids there. I didn't add it because said project is meant to be after CS. But hey, why not? Honestly, I don't know why most call it Blacktron II, I think its merely an abbreviation of Blacktron: Future Generation but they can just call it Blacktron: FG for that matter.

This is actually an unsubstantiated rumor. Its possible, but there's nothing to really say it's the case. also, thank you OP for calling it Blacktron: Future Generation and not Blacktron II

It's definitely a standalone theme. The only thing it's part of is the Systems super-theme, which just means it was from the late 90's/early 00's and wasn't part of Technic or Duplo. Its closest relative is Power Miners, which didn't come out for ten more years. The space stuff was only in the books and video games - the sets themselves gave no indication they were on an alien planet, just that they were deep underground.
