I started by cutting out the speech bubble. After turning the contents of the bubble into an alpha channel, I proceeded to add a picture of Giygas as a second layer and put it underneath the image. I also added an icon of Khorne on the top. The flash off of the Monocle is a lens flare and the glowing orbs of demon energy are supernova effects. After that, I went over the image with a blur, an oilfy filter and a Van Gogh filter. Here's another entry: This one took a lot more work, so I won't go in-depth on it. Okay, I'm not even sure where to start tackling this... At first your silly arguments and general attitude amused me, but it grows tedious. What I see here, is a log of every time someone has done something you didn't like, going back crist-knows-how-many years. Not only is that a bit incredibly petty and a bit unsettling, but it's also a very unhealthy mindset. Of course it's going to feel like the whole world is against you and that everyone hates you if you keep track of every time someone has ever upset you. This is far from the toxic community you believe it to be, you've only tricked yourself into thinking that by focusing all your attention on the bad moments to the exclusion of all else. Do you not see the inherent hypocrisy here? You are always begging people to forget the things you've done, to start over, to give you a clean slate on which to build a new, better reputation, yet you hold grudges against people for little things they did one a long time ago. You want us to believe you've changed, yet here you are judging other people on things long past. You really need to take a good hard look at yourself if you still think that the community is the problem. You keep saying you've changed, but the very fact that you've posted this blog proves that you have not. You can't just tell people you're a different person and then expect them to treat you like one, you have to show them that you're a better person now. Which, to be frank, you have failed to ever do. You've done a pretty good job of giving people a poor impression of yourself, and you can't just expect them to forget that impression overnight. I've tried to defend you in the past, thinking the other members have been a bit too hard on you, but every passing interaction makes me lose faith in you a little more. The members here can be a bit hard on new members, and I'm not going to condone that, but can you blame them? We get hundreds of new members every week, most of which never post a single thing, and the ones that do tend to be trolls are little kids that don't know how to use proper grammar or spelling and bump years-old topics with irrelevant posts. It gets tiring having to put up with them, but some of them eventually get better and integrate into the core community, gaining the respect of the other members who in turn treat them as an equal. You have, and I know you are going to hate me for saying this but it's the truth, never grown out of that "annoying new member" phase. I have more that I want to say, but I'm having trouble finding the right words for it. Try to listen to what I have to say, and don't dismiss it as me "bullying" you. No one is being mean to you on purpose, we are only trying to help you be a better member of the community, but when you don't cooperate it's very frustrating. That's all I can really say for now. Lego Racers 2 - RL Cars
RobberBaron and 2 others reacted to kajeuter for a topic
Hello Everyone, Most of the default cars from Lego Racers 2 do already exsist real life. These cars are taken from existing sets. I made a list for Sandy Bay, Dino Island and Arctic with all of the cars that are actually taken from existing sets. Since most of the cars do not have a name, I'll refer to the characters that drive the car in LR2. Sandy Bay Cars: Dino Island Cars: Arctic Cars: As for the Mars Cars, these cars are nowhere to be found in the Life on Mars set. However, using Lego Digital Designer, I managed to build all of the cars (Except sparky's one).I would like to share them with you and I want to actually build them in real lego as well. I will put up a list of items you need and some instructions later. Most of the car pieces can be found in the Life on Mars set itself.Cassaopia's Car: Pippin's Car: Cunningham's spacecraft: Baron Rosso's spacecraft: Frankie Solido's spacecraft: Mac's Car: Johnney Thunder's Car: So, what do you think? It suprised me that most of the cars do actually exsist. Kaj3 points -

Update 4 has been announced! Highlights: Split-screen multiplayer Moar bricks "A fun new item to help bring colour into the world." (???) "An explosive new prop to play with." (EXPLOSIVE ACTION) "More additional quests." (I love the word choice. The Redundant Department of Redundancy called earlier on the telephone not too long ago.) "Improvements to Brick Building controls, especially on controllers." Maybe Alcom's complaining worked? "A proper way to put items away." Hmmm.. More details and full release notes will come when the update is shipped. Of course, no announcement is complete without an LUser and/or "That's not what I expected would be in this update!!!!" crashing the announcement.3 points -

Couldn't sleep, so decided to make a third. Animated GIF FTW!!! Oh, and then I made this: Blue Oyster Cult: Don't Fear the Reaper (first two verses plus 2x chorus). I had to upload this one to Photobucket as it was larger than 2mb. This one isn't an entry since I didn't actually do anything to the image itself and just added animated text. I just wanted to show off.3 points -

Look, I don't agree with what Mael says, but this isn't helping. You probably didn't mean it this way, but you make RRU sound exactly the cliquish place that he accuses it of being. We have standards, sure, but we're not a committee. As far as I'm concerned, we accept Mael, in spite of his misunderstandings. Please don't make me reconsider that opinion.2 points -
Ayliffe is bored so here's a photo-editing contest (2015)
Phoenyx reacted to Ayliffe for a topic
I am bored. That is an eloquent fact. Tomorrow I have a week or so of volunteering at BRICK 2015, and then it'll be christmas time and I won't have access to my darling desktop due to the tree being placed directly in front of it. However, before then I have a sincere lack of things to do with my time. To make up for this absence of things, I'm making this quick contest for no real reason other than "lol i have nothing to do". SO WHATS THE CONTEST ABOUT THEN, I hear you cry? Well, it's pretty simple as far as contests go. Below this wall of text there will be a simple image, which you, the dear reader, will have to edit and customize to your heart's content. Boot up your image editing programs, whip out yer pencils and get to work doing whatever you like to the image! As long as the images are SFW (basically no naughty x-rated pictures or r34 things) then it's all fine. Draw on it! Add text in the speech bubble! Write "LU 2 CONFIRMEDDDD!!!1!" all over it with your own blood (okay, maybe not that last one)! The whole point of this is to just do whatever the frig you like with this image, so go and do that. WHAT'S THE IMAGE THEN, you may shout? It's this one right here: I'd recommend keeping the image at this aspect ratio, but I'm not fussed if you don't. HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO DO THE THINGS, you may scream at the top of your lungs. To answer that, I'm giving you exactly two weeks to do this. This means the the contest will end at Midday GMT on 22nd December 2015, unless hardly anyone enters then I'll just extend the time by another week or so. Voting for the winner will start the following day (I'll discuss how this will work nearer the time). HOW MANY ENTRIES CAN I SUBMIT, you may also scream. To keep things fair, you can only submit a maximum of 3 entries per member. This doesn't mean that you HAVE to do three, but it means that you can't do any more than 3. ARE THERE ANY PRIZES, I hear you shout. Well, not really. I may produce a small "I won this thing" image for the winner to shove on their profile, but other that this contest is mainly just for fun. If you're feeling generous enough to submit a prize for this, shoot me a PM and we'll talk things over (don't skype me though, I probably won't be able to access skype until after christmas because the iOS app is utter rubbish). Hopefully that should cover the basics. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask me and I'll begrudgingly happily answer them. Anyways, that's pretty much that. Happy editing!1 point -

MaelstromIslander's Reintroduction
Ben24x7 reacted to MaelstromIslander for a blog entry
(I was thinking about posting this on April 1st, 2015, the date I joined, but I decided I'd just do it now.) So after much turmoil, stress and pain, I have hopes that I'll be able to find peace here again. Two years of flaming and suffering, I think things are looking up to me again. I decided that, it would be best to reintroduce myself. My intro topic wasn't very informal in the first place anyway, so here I go... Hi, I'm MaelstromIslander, also known as King Kahuka on Brickimedia and Wikia, Bazooka Hawkrider on Steam, TheEnderdragon59 on ROBLOX and simply Enderdragon59 on Minecraft. But you can just call me "Mael". I coined the name MaelstromIslander as a failed attempt to fit into the community. Honestly, I don't really care about fitting into the community anymore, and I'm able to respect my own opinions now. I'm a bit on the immature side, or I'm just stupid. Perhaps both, who knows. As my name states, I am, or at least was, an Islanders fan. I'm a fan of LEGO Pirates as a whole now, including LEGO Space and LEGO Castle, as I grew up with those themes. I grew up with LEGO among other things, like most people would. LEGO and... Video games. Yes, I played with toys more, but I still knew about Video Games. Believe it or not, I grew up with Plug'n'Play, oh yes the obscure Plug'n'Plays... Looking back, I assume it was a SEGA product, as all the games were by SEGA. I didn't play games very much though, I mostly watched people play them. Especially Ecco the Dolphin, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and Alex Kidd. Those three were probably the hardest, for several reasons: Ecco is meant to be very hard on purpose, and Sonic 2 features the infamous pink lemonade of death. I can't remember why we couldn't beat Alex Kidd, I think it was these cars that would constantly run you over or something. I've always had vague memories of getting past Chemical Plant Zone in Sonic 2; I remembered some sort of stormy dock, and a grassy, vast plain with ruins. After buying Sonic 2 on Xbox 360, I realized the dock was actually a mine, and the grassy plain was actually Aquatic Ruin Zone. Anyway, before I go on to explain my entire experience with old Sonic games, I'll explain the real stuff: The first ever LEGO game I knew of was LEGO Racers, and man did Basil scare me. I witnessed my father play through the game, sadly he was unable to get past Rocket Racer (Or gypsy, I can't remember) so that was a bit of a pain. Quite a few years later, we bought LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga. I was fascinated with it, and me and my brothers played at all the time. Of course, we were able to beat it, get most of the minikits, but we weren't able to beat the Time Attack thing. I don't really have the sour feelings most of you guys have over the TT Games, as I grew up with them, and it proved to be quite the challenge for me. After that, we attempted to collect all the TT Games. One of the things I found really annoying was that in LEGO Indiana Jones the game would freeze a lot with a "BEEEEEEEEEP", due to overheating. One of the things I found really fun however, was that in LEGO Batman, you could constantly clone Robin and Nightwing indeffinetely! I then fell for the MMORPGs. I played Runescape sometimes, but what really caught all of our attention was Wizard101. Sadly, I fell victim to the community, who turned me into a blundering bafoon who said "wt" instead of "what". Only now I realized that the community was actually ROBLOX Online Daters who migrated to Wizard101 because they were pushed out by ROBLOX's community. Wizard101 was the start of me getting into the Internet. I eventually discovered Brickipedia, the LEGO Enyclopedia. After a long while of lurking all over the wiki for the LEGO Racers characters, I decided to join the wiki. I was playing Minecraft simultaneously at this time, so the idiotic community of THAT place poisoned me, turning me into a terrible person who would curse and swear at anyone who disagreed with me. When I fell for the fan-made "Blacktron III" and everyone on Brickimedia told me it wasn't real, I reacted the same way I did on Minecraft. I was able to clear everything up even though I got a warning on my first day. Several blocks, warnings, chat kicks, chat blocks... I was a bully. Most of you would say I still am a bully, but I'm not as bad as I used to be, trust me. At my side was DarthShlomo, my best friend on Brickipedia, and his brother JahChildren. Although they were more positive, happy, cheerful, and nice, I was cold, violent, and a huge jerk. Against me, was The Rainbow Dasher; She's basically The Ace Railgun but instead of anime being her fandom, she was a brony. I constantly boycotted her love for MLP, and I hated on anyone who like anime. I was constantly being kicked by her, but at times it was for stupid reasons. Y'know how Someswedish likes to go around saying he's a dragon, and how I like to go around saying I'm a stromling? Well, she had a problem with that. I used to go around saying I was a Blacktronian Commander, but apparently roleplay was... Against the rules? I have no idea, she made no sense, she was a terrible chat moderator, and she was a hypocrite. She kept saying she was a pony and SOMEHOW that was okay for her, because, y'know, she's a chatmod. Apart from her, the other staff were constantly trying to get me to mature and fix my behavior. Trust me, even though I spammed tons of "I'm Sorry" posts and turned around and screwed up again, I was maturing, even though it was a slow process. Eventually, The Rainbow Dasher warned me that one more slip-up and she'd block me forever. Unluckily for her, I was introduced to Brickimedia. ToaMeiko told me that we were moving to a new site because of Wikia's annoying advertisements and some other things among that. We were preparing to fork, but sadly most of my closest friends wanted to stay behind. Not Jah or Shlomo, but just some other friends. I was dissapointed that they stayed behind, but I forked over to Brickimedia anyway. Oh yeah, by the way... I was a slacker on Brickipedia. I didn't edit unless I absolutely had to, and sometimes I'd post fanfic into some character's pages, including Basil. Thankfully they reverted it. I also didn't know what plaguerism was, so I constantly posted artwork and MOCs that weren't mine on my userpage. Anyway, by the time I reached brickimedia, I matured to what I am today. We'd chat, but unlike RRU, they'd just post nonsense, and were pretty much a less-mature Rock Raiders United. I wasn't very happy there, so I decided to look for a new place to go. Then, I remembered (or jamesster just sent it to me, I can't remember) that Jamesster sent me a message about a mod for LEGO Racers that adds in classic LEGO Space astronauts, and yes, I'm talking about the mod RobExplorien made. I then discovered Rock Raiders United, and learned a bit more about LEGO Island (I had no clue what it was at the time, and dismissed it as stupid back on Brickipedia) and I learned how cool it was, including the other games. Eventually, after several weeks (or months) of lurking, I decided to do what I did on Brickipedia, and join. On that day, April 1st 2014, I did something similar to what I did on Brickipedia: Yeah, thats right, I screwed up. It wasn't that bad as they exaggerated it to be though. I couldn't find any sort of "you must have XXX posts to join" in the OP, so I was surprised to see everyone stacking up and beating up on me. I still have a problem with how toxic this community is, and when you single out members for one screw up, it really disturbs me. I'm sure it was probably in the link, but I didn't want to click a link to another site, so its not completely my fault. Saying "I hope you can read because you sure didn't read the MC Server rules" does not make me look at this community in a positive light. Xiron was technically my first friend, as he cleared up the whole minecraft server situation. Anyway, here I am now. I play several video games, some infected with CoD kids, some with fanbases that are like CoD kids that are possibly worse, and some that were cool when they started but now they've grown into this massive insanity full of OCs, bad fanfics, shipping, and spikey furball eternal doom that I try to forget even existed, so I play the older games. Oh yeah and I'll play ROBLOX sometimes, but being, y'know, full of idiots, its hard to enjoy it. So... Yeah, thats really all I have to say here. Hi.1 point -

OK, I think I see what is going on. You are trying to play LR2 with the extracted files but it won't work. How can I say this... UNGTC's sole purpose is to extract the files, not to make the game use them. Start by doing as Xiron said and move the .GTC and .INF files to a different folder (Archives/ would do), then download and run the developer mode patcher. That will make the game use the extracted files.1 point -
