The P-type Warboat is among the most feared units in the ground fleet of Keamonus-ϕ. It's main hull is heavily armored, and can comfortably fit an entire platoon of soldiers within it. It's not the fastest machine out there, but it favors stability- the legs are fitted with hydraulic suspension, the feet are designed to grip terrain of any material and elevation, and the motion of the machine is controlled by a gyroscopic sensor that can keep it upright in the worst of conditions. Uneven terrain, inclement weather or heavy artillery cannot knock it over. However, it does have a weakness in [DATA REDACTED]šã€Œæ–‡å—化ã‘〠is fitted with two long-range ion cannons that tear through enemy lines. These cannons generate a lot of heat- sufficient ventilation is available, but overuse is still not recommended. There are also two smaller plasma cannons on the front end of the hull for close-range combat. Right, I may go back and edit that fluff later, but you get the gist. This design... I wanted to do something a bit rounded, which the overall design ended up not being but there are an abundance of round elements used. I also ended up using a few elements I didn't expect to find useful... there's also another purpose for this model, but I'll get to that later. While we're at it, it would be nice if the system were quicker to realize that you're gone. It's annoying when you accidentally press ctrl-w, and the site, Aristotle-be-damned, insists that you're both in the chat room and not in the chat room, and consequently doesn't let you in.4 points -

What's happening, folks? I've got a bit of a new animation to share today. I've been working with the assets from Templar's BIONICLE stuff to make my own animations for a few years now (time really does fly, my gosh), and for this one I aimed for a distinct change of pace to match working in a new setting. I really wanted to bring out the characters here, focusing on what I'd like to think are subtleties in movement and behavior - the stuff where the real fun is at. This all in contrast to the more action-oriented stuff I have done previously. This is really only a part of what I hope will be a longer animation that completes the story set up here, but I had to get this specific part done for a project and it turned out so nice I really wanted to share it. (and if you want to see the other stuff I've done, go here - heads up that the earlier ones are pretty stinky, though) I love feedback so don't hold back, type up a post!3 points -

Maybe not, but I'd rather help the site where and when it needs it rather than let it die/suffer. Right now it cries for funds, so that's darn well where I'll be helping it.2 points -

"participating" If you are silent that long I'd say the people are talking to a wall, or you're just being a lurker. At this point I may as well suggest a "Don't kick me!" button which refreshes your inactivity time without the need to send a message.2 points -
MaelstromIslander's Reintroduction

Okay, I'm not even sure where to start tackling this... At first your silly arguments and general attitude amused me, but it grows tedious. What I see here, is a log of every time someone has done something you didn't like, going back crist-knows-how-many years. Not only is that a bit incredibly petty and a bit unsettling, but it's also a very unhealthy mindset. Of course it's going to feel like the whole world is against you and that everyone hates you if you keep track of every time someone has ever upset you. This is far from the toxic community you believe it to be, you've only tricked yourself into thinking that by focusing all your attention on the bad moments to the exclusion of all else. Do you not see the inherent hypocrisy here? You are always begging people to forget the things you've done, to start over, to give you a clean slate on which to build a new, better reputation, yet you hold grudges against people for little things they did one a long time ago. You want us to believe you've changed, yet here you are judging other people on things long past. You really need to take a good hard look at yourself if you still think that the community is the problem. You keep saying you've changed, but the very fact that you've posted this blog proves that you have not. You can't just tell people you're a different person and then expect them to treat you like one, you have to show them that you're a better person now. Which, to be frank, you have failed to ever do. You've done a pretty good job of giving people a poor impression of yourself, and you can't just expect them to forget that impression overnight. I've tried to defend you in the past, thinking the other members have been a bit too hard on you, but every passing interaction makes me lose faith in you a little more. The members here can be a bit hard on new members, and I'm not going to condone that, but can you blame them? We get hundreds of new members every week, most of which never post a single thing, and the ones that do tend to be trolls are little kids that don't know how to use proper grammar or spelling and bump years-old topics with irrelevant posts. It gets tiring having to put up with them, but some of them eventually get better and integrate into the core community, gaining the respect of the other members who in turn treat them as an equal. You have, and I know you are going to hate me for saying this but it's the truth, never grown out of that "annoying new member" phase. I have more that I want to say, but I'm having trouble finding the right words for it. Try to listen to what I have to say, and don't dismiss it as me "bullying" you. No one is being mean to you on purpose, we are only trying to help you be a better member of the community, but when you don't cooperate it's very frustrating. That's all I can really say for now. Interplanetary Interceptor
Ayliffe reacted to MaelstromIslander for a topic
I was thinking about making a Blacktron MOC for a while now, and this is what I came up with. Enjoy. The Interplanetary Interceptor is a spacecraft built for the uses of the ominous Blacktron. It can blast off to very high speeds, and possesses four powerful laser cannons. Built within the depths of Blacktron itself, it is known for being a very dangerous vehicle, but very vulnerable and weak as well. Regardless of its downsides, the vehicle is still used to scout for enemy Space Police forces nearby, blasting them to pieces. Many traveling space traders of Futuron fear this vehicle, as these have destroyed and pirated several merchant ships in their history. (I made this MOC on another computer that I don't have access to right now, so I'll have to wait until I can take pictures of the different angles.) I actually originally planned this MOC to be a transforming vehicle, with the ability to switch from an air vehicle to a land vehicle, but it proved to be too complex, and so I had to scrap it. I might do it in my next MOC though.1 point -

It'd be nice if we had some sort of timed auto kick feature in the chat room that kicked people after like 5 minutes of being afk so we don't get people who sit in chat all day not chatting for the majority of time in there, or just if the forget to log off the chat before they go. This feature would be nice even without the 5 person limit just so it gets cleared up.1 point -

Fair enough! I tried something else here and I know I can't please everyone. I'd like to think that part of it is that this really wasn't written to be a standalone episode - maybe it will hold up better for you once it has been set into its proper context. Re: the buzzing/horns, Quis your ears must be far beyond mine because I cannot for the life of me detect a click in the loop. Will keep that in mind for later stuff, though. @aidenpons I could have done something else, but the horns are kind of emblematic of Onu-Koro and it wouldn't have felt right to me to do anything else.1 point -

This is very amusing to read with your current avatar On Mael, (I can't be bothered quoting ), while he does get into arguments, I say he's mature enough for the Lego section of RRU. We really like your contributions and your MOCs, it's just the flame is unwelcome. Back on topic (on blog? ), happy 22nd Swe!1 point -

The only problem with that is people could still lurk and take up spaces, without actually typing. Also yeah 30, and even 15 minutes is too long. I'd go with 10 minutes at the most.1 point -

Huh, I think you're over reacting a bit, and there's some kind of misunderstanding, as of lately I've done nothing but try to have pleasant conversations with you, but you almost always explode about something or declare that it's an argument and either leave or ignore me, and when I try to tell you to chill and take a breather you call that "micromanaging" when all I'm trying to do is give a friendly suggestion. The only time I can think of that suggested something that wasn't chill was when you and Nog where sitting afk in the chat box with the 5 person limit where I politely asked you to not both be afk in order to free up space, in which you again declared to be an argument, and left, when it was a discussion, and to use a tongue when you joke (which honestly does help, but I sometimes miss that it's a joke still) (correct me if I'm wrong) While you and I have had disagreements in the past, I Think we can eventually look past that and become able to have normal conversations again. The last three CONVERSATIONS we had together we're quite pleasant until you declared them to be an argument and left to ignore me. I mean really for the most part I've had nothing but good intentions when I've tried to converse with you and if you think there's something that needs to be discussed between the two of us please PM me. This poor attempt at "shaming" or "attacking" me for something that could be a misunderstanding is just going to make you look more immature at this point.1 point -
Getting map to work properly
STUDZ reacted to Lair for a topic
Not really. Once we hit the limit of what we could change, people started to lose interest. Not to mention that as we've gotten older, we've all become a little harder on the game and've started admitting it wasn't that great. I'd say that some of the overhauls being finished might have kept things going, but ever since Windows 8 came out it's been slowly dying as far as compatibility, so even if we hadn't moved on a lot of us can't run it any more without going to a great deal of trouble with driver crap. At this point, this community is basically just a general Lego community, but simultaneously more mature than places like BZPower and more... unhinged than places like Eurobricks. Pretty much the only chance of recovery at this point is if Cirevam somehow finishes Time Raiders, but he's busy and everyone who was helping him fell off the face of the earth (including me for a long while). Axel's Mod was looking hopeful but he's disappeared too. Even then, I don't know how many people would even play it at this point, considering how cynical everyone's become about the game. Meanwhile, the wiki is drowning in spam bots and the only person who's able to do anything about it has fallen off the face of the earth. And DDI has train-wrecked completely. At this point I'm just hoping that someone in the far future will make a game with a similar concept and environment but a far superior execution that will actually hold up sixteen years later. tldr: it's just you. five years ago I'd have never believed it either, but here we are. sorry.1 point
