I'm afraid I can't claim that honor. Mr. Mathis built the original version (in a striking yellow and green color scheme) for the LEGO Universe video game. It eventually appeared in the awesome first cinematic trailer for the game, although the graphics people had re-colored it to the current blue-and-white design. Mr. Mathis was nice enough to share the original .lfxs he made, and building the racecar in real life is one of my long-term projects. Here's a comparison shot, between the LDD model, and the car from the trailer. I think the coloring is mostly accurate, although some areas were in shadow, which made them a bit hard to determine the correct colors for.
